Louis Cennamo (The Herd, Renaissance, Colosseum, Steamhammer, Armageddon) Interview (7/20/24)

Louis Cennamo is an English bass guitarist, poet, creative writer and healer. He has been credited as the creator of the “electric bowed bass guitar”. Louis played in many bands over his career, beginning in the early 60’s through the 1980’s and beyond, ranging from rock and blues to progressive. The list of bands includes The Five Dimensions (with and without Jimmy Powell), The Herd with Peter Frampton, Patto’s People / Chicago Line Blues Band, Renaissance with Jim McCarty (see my interview from February of this year), Colosseum, Steamhammer, Axis, Armageddon, Illusion, Stairway, Limited Edition and Special Edition. Louis also released a solo album, Diamond Harbour in 1982 and a new age album entitled Freedom - Relaxation Music with Michael Timothy in 1997. More recently, my guest has been writing poetry and short stories and an autobiography is in the works.
