I appreciate that you're super low-key, because sometimes when beauty youtubers are bouncing off the walls with intense energy, it doesn't really match my vibe (watching in bed at 10 pm). You're just calm and knowledgable and soothing to watch.
Also thank you so much for this video. I just started wearing falsies again after a long hiatus, and these tips were super helpful! Cheers :)

+ without any mascara. I wear black band lashes with black lash glue without liner or mascara daily and it's an art to learn. But so much better. I hate mascara! I have veeeery sparce lashes too. You really need to give yourself some time to learn applying lashes good and you don't need liner or mascara.😊 😊😊

I wear lashes 2 or 3 times a year. I got the tip from a pro to cut off the inner third of the lash and only apply the long section to the outer corner. Because it takes practice to be good at it, if you don't do it often, it's hard to get right. I suggest buying some cheap lashes and trying it when you're not going out to see what you think. I find it SO much easier to do.

The ONLY time I ever left my house wearing strip lashes was on a windy day. I thought I'd finally figured them out. Like I said, it was windy that day. I was talking to someone when one of the strips came loose on the inner corner. Amazingly, the outer corner held while the strip fluttered in the wind on the side of my face.

I love the "KISS Strip Lash Adhesive w/ Aloe". It is clear but goes on blueish at first. Once it dries its completely clear. It turns a different shade of blue once the glue is tacky and ready to stick to your lash line, which makes it easier for those that have a hard time finding that sweet spot in waiting time. For me it's been fairly easy to get all the glue off my lashes and lashline with miscellar water and cotton face pad.

Please DO NOT EVER use magnetic lashes! I will explain in detail the risk involved by applying the ingredients contained in EVERY magnetic eyeliner available.
**This will be a long post and I'll try not to go full nerd on you, but I believe this information is needed so that others can make a more educate decision when considering the use of magnetic eyelashes.
First off, you need to know what you're applying to the delicate skin around eyes. ALL magnetic lashes require the application of a liquid eyeliner to your lash line in order for the magnets on the lashes to adhere to. The ingredient contained in EVERY magnetic eyeliner is IRON and/or IRON OXIDE. Literally granulated METAL fragments. It's the only thing magnets stick to, which means these lashes require you to apply a LIQUID (which will inevitable get in your eye at some point) made of granulated iron shrapnel when it comes to the damage it can cause to your eyelid, tear duct, and your eye itself. That may sound a bit dramatic, so I will share my knowledge of the human eye and at least help readers to make a more educated decision when considering magnet eyelashes. -
(Here's comes the nerdy part) - The eye is an extremely delicate organ, which has to be in perfect working order to function properly. From back to front I will explain the structures most often damaged and why they are so delicate.
The eyelids are thin skin, muscle and soft tissues which must be completely supple, partially rigid, and well suspended at their bony attachments to protect the eye. Any type of scarring injury can cause a breakdown of the protection they afford, leading to poor tear film and a dry cornea, which will become hazy.
The tears on the cornea, made of water, mucus and oil, plus lots of proteins and complex molecules from the blood serum, must be balanced to remain in a thin layer over the cornea between blinks, not evaporating or gumming up. When this doesn't happen, the cornea dries and becomes pitted, focusing light poorly.
The cornea itself is bloodless, relying on oxygen in the air and in the fluid within the eye to nourish it. It is half a millimeter thick and can fairly easily be perforated with sharp objects (including granulated metals) or broken open by blunt force. Once it is cut or violated, scarring occurs which often greatly reduces or alters its focusing power. Scarring also leads to blood vessels invading the cornea, making it lose its transparency.
The iris is a unique muscle system which dynamically opens and shuts to regulate and partially focus the light getting to the retina. Very minimal damage, even just some rough touches with by a foreign object, will permanently damage this structure causing an irregular pupil, poor dilation or constriction, or even secondary holes which cast additional images on the retina.
The lens is a highly organized collection of special collagen fibers arranged so that they are optically clear. The slightest touch or disturbance to the lens can cause an opacity (cataract) to form, sometimes instantly or over a matter of a few minutes after the injury. The lens often must be replaced to correct this. More severe trauma can completely displace the lens from the fragile attachments it has to the ciliary body, the muscle that changes its shape allowing the lens to focus.
The vitreous gel the fills the bulk of the eye, is clear, but may become cloudy with bleeding, inflammation or infection. Once cloudy, it can take months to clear, if at all.
The retina is the most specialized and delicate part of the eye. It is a unique collection of light receptors attached to nerve endings that detect light and transmit the signal to the back of the brain, where sight actually occurs. The complex layers of the retina, and the sublayer it is attached to, are tenuously laid out such that under normal circumstances they perform almost miraculously, but with the slightest injury, these layers are disrupted or separated and vision is completely interrupted. Something as small as a tear the size of a head of a pin in the retina can lead to a blinding retinal detachment. Although retinal injuries can be fixed at times, few allow vision to completely return to normal without some small deficit. Others remain irreparable despite the surgeons best efforts.
That is just a small description of the complexities of the eye and why it is thus so prone to damage. As with most body functions, the more complexity present, the more opportunities for malfunction or failure.
If you made it this far, congrats! You now know more about the eyes than 85% of the population! 😉 I only hope that this information helps anyone who reads it to have a better understanding of the seriousness of the risk involved with magnetic eyelashes. If you have found this information helpful, please let me know by giving it a thumbs up and help educate others about the dangers of magnetic lashes too! Cheers!

You honestly have one of the most educational, practical, helpful channels on UA-cam😭 I love that if I’m struggling to learn a new technique or improve an old one, I can almost always look on your channel and find a really helpful video that saves the day (and my makeup😅)! I have such long natural lashes that I’ve never even used false ones, but I’ve been trying to use them lately and SUCK AT IT. I also feel way better now because I used some kind of white, slightly holographic Tarte lash glue that brushes on and it stuck in my eyelashes SO BAD. It took me FIVE DAYS to get it out of my eyelashes. Multiple makeup removers, cleaners, face washes, etc, and it still wouldn’t come out! I thought I did something wrong, but now I know it isn’t just me😂

You are an amazing teacher! I’ve never worn or even tried to apply false lashes but you made me feel like I could do an amazing job 😄. You gave us so much info that I literally don’t have any questions. I’m going to order the lashes you wore today because they look natural & I feel like that’s a good start. You also informed us of things that didn’t work for you. Thanks so much. Wish me luck!!!

This is 100% the best way for a flawless and long lasting application, but PLEASE be careful when taking them off when using this method as I found they almost stuck too well. I ended up ripping out a small chunk of eyelashes. Just thought I should give a warning to anyone yet to try this!❤️

I live for the clear Kiss Strip Lash Adhesive with Aloe. I swear that stuff keeps lashes on like no ones business! Never had any issues with it drying and being obvious on my lid or lashes. But you definitely need an eye makeup remover to soak off the glue before you try to pull the lashes off. 🥰

Oh my goodness. You are the best eyelash instructor. Not that others aren’t good. But you are the first to demonstrate that putting the glue on the paper towel. I’m trying master putting on false lashes. I started with lashes by LoveSeen. They are very natural , easy to apply and pricey like $24 pricey. I don’t know what happened with the company, but they stop making or something.
So I’ve been try Ardell and can’t for the life of me get them to stick. There’s usually too much glue. Now I admit after watching a few tutorials I was not trimming these types of lashes. I didn’t have to with the other brand. I’m going to keep trying. But also in my defense I’m over sixty years old. Trying something new😊

My tip is... I put the lash glue on my eyelid with a brush. Exactly like putting a thin line of liquid eyeliner. It gets tacky faster and the lash goes right on where I needs too. I started wearing lashes when I was 15. I’m now 46 and I wish I knew this trick years ago. Those times when somehow the lash just doesn’t sit right and you have to redo and it completely fucks up all the work you just did.... doesn’t happen at all anymore. I started doing it about... 5 years ago now. It’s a DREAM!

False eyelash horror story that no one asked for! I use pointed tweezers meant for eyebrows, and I didn’t know you had to wait for the glue to dry. I scratched my eyeball with the tweezers (it hurt SO MUCH) and then my eyes started watering. On instinct, I closed that eye and my body refused to open it (my eyes were watering so much from behind my closed eyelid). I was so focused on the pain that I forgot there was lash glue drying on my closed eyelid. TLDR, I glued my eye shut after scratching it with tweezers.

Bought falsies and glue for the first time in years, ended up with House of Lashes for both. It turned out ok but I definitely still had a gap despite trying to squeeze them together, also the tweezers kept getting stuck on the lash glue-maybe I need to wait longer between placing them and squeezing them? Anywho the House of Lashes glue was nice and tacky and dried clear, lasted all day. Still need to figure out how to know if the lashes are too long. This video was perfect timing TY ❤️
