Hi!! I'm an upcoming makeup artist from Canada. I recently launched my own makeup business so I haven't been posting many yt videos but I will be starting back up very soon!! I'd really appreciate it if you checked out my channel and subscribed! I'm on the road to 1k ! It'd mean the absolute world to me. Thank you. 🥰❤️✨
I'd like to think this is because of good art school training, and a mind that pays attention. When you study and learn the principles behind why and how things work, those principles can be applied in so many other situations.

I remember when I first found this channel; I was so excited to find someone so likeable, full of personality but ultimately focused on disseminating truly educational information in a clear, digestible and inspiring way. She and Erin Parsons are two of my favourites in this 'genre' of content.
Individual lashes have got a small lashes section if you want to add some volume and not crazy length. I'm 47 and also wear glasses so I definitely understand the struggle though.
I would love to see a tutorial on cream eyeshadows. I'll be 70 soon, and my eyelids are too crepey for powder. I'm using Revlon Colorstay cream eyeshadow pots, and some Julep shadow sticks.
Me too! 54 here and I'm so sick of powdery, chalky eyeshadows. I'm pretty much using UD eyeliners as eyeshadow. They blend very well. But a video would be amazing.
Tips for you ladies who have powder eyeshadow and it is coming out dry and flaky, a good setting spray mist preferably a Dewey one can help for your eyes (: just spray lightly not too much

Ms. Alexandra made me, MADE ME 😉, go out and search for lashes. I bought Ardell Natural, Eye-Lifting Effect, number 110. I’ll be 62 years in a few days, have done a lot of stuff in my life 😈, but this is a first. I absolutely LOVE her videos, appreciate her for sharing her knowledge and so many helpful suggestions & tips.
Heres my thing with false lashes - they're all black. Brown or brownish black is so much more flattering for my complexion and eyes, personally. I'm really waiting for brown to have a moment again in the eyelash realm (mascara, lash extensions, etc). I recently ordered lashify because they have truffle and chocolate which are brown tones!!
Heads up if anyone has monolid or small eyes the house of lashes lite series is really great I also love Petite Cosmetics, she designed them for eye shapes common in east asia! EDIT 10/2022: I discovered doe lashes last year and they are SO SO GOOD TOO! I now don't use anything else LOL they are also an Asian owned business and if you have double eyelids and want ultra natural lashes their fairy collection will be perfect for you ✨
Ok the house of lashes lite have a few that would be perfect for me! And I’m sending the Petite Cosmetics link to my BFF who has a traditional monolid. Thanks!
Kind of expected tips like "If you have hooded eyes, try these shapes" or "if your eyes are wide-set, maybe choose this". But I liked this video nonetheless, great info for sure. The few times I tried lashes, I could not make them work with my teeny hooded eyes. Gonna watch the application video next!
@@so_5464 Ikr! I mean, the small is not necessarily the biggest problem because you can trim some of it, but hooded just completely ruins every bit of fluttery goodness falsies give.
@@junimondify yes😩 also i find all lashes sort of have that cat eye shape where they go out to the side and the outer lash is the longest and for me that makes my eyes look smaller! I want the lashes to be longer in the middle so it covers the hood of my eyelid and then smaller on outside.. but they are hard to find!!
I have serious chronic fatigue and between work and trying to stay alive, it's really difficult to move my makeup routine forward but every time I'm ready to try something new you have a relevant video where things are explained directly, and in a way that holds my attention and I appreciate it so much.
I'll be honest, I can't decide if I'm developing a "girl" crush on you or an actual crush. Either way, your regular uploads and whole vibe are helping me through this quarantine.
I’ve only worn lashes once (my wedding) and my make up artist applied them. Would love a more in depth tutorial for application for beginners. You are gorgeous and such an inspiration. 💗
This is such an underrated channel. She give helpful, detailed advice, she gets straight to the point, and she’s not boring. I literally LIVE for your videos.
omfg no way, this is the video I've been looking for, for a year or 2 now! NO ONE EVER SEEMS TO TALK ABOUT THIS in particular! there's endless videos on dos & don'ts, how to, tips and tricks.. but never about lash styles based on eye size and shape!! and idk how noticeable this is to most people, but to me it's EXTREMELY noticeable, the difference between different lashes affecting your eye shape and size - *Especially* for anyone with semi hooded, hooded, downturned, monolids or deep-set eyes.. much like eyeshadow application can greatly alter the appearance of ones eyes, lashes do too! I have semi-hooded eyes, not too extreme of a hood, but the very densely packed, single length lashes seriously overwhelm my eye area, very unflattering!! thank you for doing the video so few others have covered! your channel is one of the very best, because not only do you go in depth (while not getting TOO long winded or boring), but you often cover details that others don't. so good!
I always thought it should be a line across, I didn't ever think of applying dots of lash glue on the lash line.. Great tip! I feel like it is much easier that way. Amazing work, just keep going! xx
I have never been a lash-wearer; only tried them once or twice. Lately, I've been wanting to experiment with them, because I see everyone wearing lashes; they weren't this popular back in the early 2000s, when I was in university. Lashes definitely make a huge difference, even with minimal makeup. This video is greatly appreciated, Alex 🤗🥰

Im sure you are gorgeous always with or without lashes! I decided to stop wearing them all the time because the glue is not that good for my lashes 😊 I just use 2 different mascaras and its amazing! I know Jaclyn hill posted a video about the best mascaras for full lashes 😘

Hey quick tip for applying glue: instead using the brush to apply to the strip lash, use the plastic part of the applicator. Just run it along the length on the lash band, and you won’t have to worry about getting glue in your falsies. I also find I get more even glue application than with just a brush.

You are a joy to watch and listen to Alex, such great content and expertly delivered. Love you personality and dry sense of humour, not forgetting the crazy face pulling! suze from UK
I have decent size eyes, and since I love the cat eye look, I've seen where someone will wear a half lash...does that make sense? where it goes more on the ends of your eyes.. what brand do you recommend for lashes like that? Thank you.
I’m taking notes like I’m studying for the SAT’s!! The eye look we’ve all been asking for was amazing!! I sketched it out very lightly with brown and then before I washed it off I traced it with black and was kicking myself for not going in on the black and paired with the correct lashes for my shape *chef’s kiss* YAAAASSSS
Great video. I've always struggled with lashes (because I have shaky hands), but I bought the Eylure line & lash (eyeliner glue for lashes) and it works really well. Used it a couple of days and it really works and it's soooo easy even I can use it. So now I'm looking for good eyelashes and then you make a video about lashes, so perfect timing. Thank you! Really liking your more "informative" videos.
I love my Kiss "So Wispy" lashes from the drugstore. I order them in packs of ten pairs from Amazon. They have a clear band but they are great for some drama.
Omg the flutter lashes are my all time favorite lashes 🥰🥰 i have almond eyes and the band get softer with time, i can use them for half a year and they wont broke instead of thin lashes band

Could you do a video on removing makeup? Like what do you use, what steps do you take?
You can also cut your strip lash in half or even 3 to release tension so the ends don’t lift (since the whole band is more “flexible” since it’s cut).
I love how real you are, and i can thank you for making my ugly assa lot less ugly! Thankyou!
I cannot tell you how excited I get when I see you upload ❤️❤️❤️❤️
dude, your makeup tutorials are my therapy :))
Thank you. 🥰❤️✨
I love the soft pink tone makeup 🧡💖.. looks very pretty... and you sound so much like my tattoo artist.. its crazy..
You are a joy to watch and listen to Alex, such great content and expertly delivered. Love you personality and dry sense of humour, not forgetting the crazy face pulling! suze from UK
Your makeup and hair are awesome in this video, i LOVE the wash of color on the eyes. 30 looks damn good on you!
I have decent size eyes, and since I love the cat eye look, I've seen where someone will wear a half lash...does that make sense? where it goes more on the ends of your eyes.. what brand do you recommend for lashes like that? Thank you.
The tip for applying the lash glue in tiny dots to the lash line is pure gold!
CONGRATS ON 700K 🎉🎉🎉
Your facial expressions literally make my day 🤣🤣
Doting the lash glue helped me so much!! Thank you!!
Please do the love witch makeup I think you would kill it!!
GIRLLL YOURE LITERALLY AN ANGEL I WAS JUST RECENTLY THINKING ABOUT LASHES AND WHAT TO GET FOR MY EYES
I love your makeup in this video. Would you be able to mention what lipstick you're using and lip gloss too?
Omg the flutter lashes are my all time favorite lashes 🥰🥰 i have almond eyes and the band get softer with time, i can use them for half a year and they wont broke instead of thin lashes band
Like how pretty is she 😍
I was waiting for when you were gonna get to what style works best for hooded lids 😩

the ardell baby wispies are amazing for my monolids!
This is awesome! Would you be able to do a tutorial on which magnetic lashes are the best? I'm still new to lashes!
I don't wear lashes that much. I just came to listen to your soothing voice ~.~
Everyone loves the Ardell demi wispies they really are OG.
You should try Nikkia Joy Cosmetics lashes. They are so flexible and they have so many styles, they are made for sensitive and small eyes.
Thank you Alexandra. Stay safe
