Wow... FINALLY, seriously an eyelash tutorial that makes sense and is easy to follow. My problem is I never knew if I’m placing them on the skin or on the lash itself.. everyone always says the lash line but there was always that grey area of confusion. You make it seem so easy. Thank you for the tips 💛

It just takes practice, ladies, I promise! I, too, used to think that I couldn't apply false lashes either! I've been wearing full strip lashes for over five years now, and only rarely, do I experience any difficulty in applying them. Ultimately, it is always from working with a false lash that has a thicker and/or a more rigid lash band. I apply my false lashes a little differently than most, however (my favs are Red Cherry #43's!) I curl my natural lashes, and I apply my mascara, and liquid eyeliner. I always use a glue that contains a brush (like some Duo, and Kiss glues), and I draw a line of glue along my lash line, rather than onto the band of the false lashes, themselves. The glue quickly becomes tacky due to the warmth of one's lids. I then place the false lashes along the applied line of glue, and make sure that both ends of the lashes are adequately secured. I don't use additional mascara (so I can reuse the false lashes), but I do adjust the liquid liner to ensure that the lash band of the false lashes are effectively hidden. With this video, I hope you've encouraged others who have been nervous about using false lashes, to definitely give it a try by first practicing until they are comfortable that they are successful with their application! Thanks so much for sharing your tips on false lash application, Elle! It's too fun not to, at least, try, Sherrey🎀

I bought a kiss glue with the brush, and i didn't have success putting on my eyelashes. I will keep trying, thanks to this encouragement, i will try the glue on my lashline first instead of putting it on the lashes. Thanks

    • @timothysherreyehler5095
      @timothysherreyehler5095 5 років тому +3

@@rozzie5651 I hope it works for you Rosalind! Half lashes for the outer end of the lash line may be easier for you, as well. Just put the glue on the outer edge of your lash line before placing them over the glue. Practice a few times on days where you don't have plans, and it will soon become possible for you to enjoy false lashes! Oh, and lashes with a thinner band tend to be easier to work with, and apply. Good luck, Rosalind, Sherrey🎀

I love the tip for using a darker shadow to hide the lash band vs liquid eye liner. I’m terrible with liner and I didn’t know another way to hide it. Awesome! Love that tip! ❤️

I think your tip about waiting for the glue to get tacky is a good one. I've had some success with lashes but other times they are a complete failure. I probably haven't waited long enough for the glue to get tacky. Thanks for the help on trimming them down as well. I have hooded eyes from age (60) but like to look my best.

This is THE best video I have seen for false eyelashes. Most of the other videos instruct you to curl your eyelashes before you place the falsies and I can tell you that does not work well because it makes your real lashes get in the way of the placement. It really just makes sense. I love how you give all the steps. I've only had my false lashes for a few days and I love them, but with these new tips, I will love them even more. Thank you, Elle!

Hi Elle, this tutorial was amazing! I have had a pair of lashes for a year now😱. Every time I have gone to them thinking well I'll try them, I've quickly put them back in the drawer. Thank you for doing this tutorial. It was so wonderfully detailed. Elle, I'm always Blown Away by how much knowledge you can impart in a way that makes me feel confident. I again, as always learned so much. I never knew you could use the lashes again! I'm so glad that you helped me figure out that the lighter part of the Lash goes toward your inner eye. I could really go on and on! What would we all do without our Elle Leary?💕💕💕💕

I’m so glad I watched this tutorial. I’m older and have short lashes. This video made applying the lashes quick and easy. If I hadn’t watched this, I’d have been buying all sort of “not right” brands and struggling to apply. Love the Elure 003 lashes.

I absolutely loved this tutorial video❣️ I have never worn eye lashes just because they look so “fake” on my 55 y/o eyes! The Eye Lure lashes with the majority of the lashes is exactly what I’ve been for. Buying a full set then cutting them in half is just not a look for me. I had given up on trying lashes, but your tutorial has inspired me again❣️ Thank you so much❣️

Glad to find a similar age demonstration, I just turned 65 hee hee, and I have no lids anymore just above the lashes. My lid disappeared under sagging skin and puffiness when I hit my 60th birthday. I like your point of looking natural because I think the cow lashes many use are disgusting. Thank you so much for showing us older gals how to use a little help from lashes.

Perfect timing as usual. I bought lashes & glue for Halloween ( never worn them before) to be extra glam with my costume. We're going to a Vampires Ball & the "dress code" or theme is Romantic Goth. I even got disposable contacts so I can go without glasses & actually see! I need to practice with the lashes while wearing the contacts...the things we do for vanity lol

Thanks for another great Touriel and keeping us older gals in mind. It’s very nice that you slow it down enough where is beginners can grasp the concept. Not sure if you’re aware Sabrina who is another UA-cam or and just simply as damage earth as you are in a real sweetheart she has a line of inky inky eyelashes please give her a try. On a Personal note I am so glad that there are some UA-cam or’s that don’t get caught up in all the drama staying focused on what their subscribers are asking for. Because there isn’t a lots of tutorials for older put it buys that are on the glam side. Although I’m 59 I’m just short so it looks like I’m younger and I have taking care of my skin but I would love some more tutorials on my luxe thanks

Demi wispies are great. I wear them often, however, they may be too much if you're not used to wearing falsies. I started with baby wispies then graduated to the demi's. Glue tip: before I put my make up on, I place about a half pea size of glue on the package, then begin my makeup routine. By the time I'm ready to put on my falsies, the glue is nice and tacky.

Great tips... you're the only and first one that said don't curl or mascara your own lashes prior.... so correct., it makes it so much harder to apply lashes when that step in done before.... thank you... I love lashes., but get so frustrated and pissed off trying to apply them...going to try this trick., hope it helps me since I have NO patience ! ...lol

Thank you so much for these tips. My eyes seem so much smaller now at 54 and I needed something to make them pop. I'm going to buy these lashes! 😊

I’m going right out to buy some Eylure! They look fabulous. Now is it possible to apply lashes properly w/o the applicator and with our fingers ? My hand is not steady.

Thank you for your advice on falsies, although you made it quite a while ago, it's still relevant to older newcomers to eyelashes.
I like the colour on your lips. Would you share what is it?

Thank u. I've tried many times not knowing what to do and just gave up. Many moons ago since I just never wore them and most my girlfriends do I just decided to buy some a few weeks ago. But I definitely needed the what to do's. In ever area. Mascara or no? Cleaning. Removing? What kind of glue not a waste or embarrassment. I wish I had started this a few years ago. Had swollen eyes alot from child loss from suicide. My crying has aged me so much. So far I've wasted some lashes due to Mascara not knowing ya or nay. I bought magnet ones not to sure I like them but I definitely luv having lashes mine used to be very thick. Today not so much. My life is tough so I don't go many places I don't get to hang out with the ladies to get the tips. But I definitely feel much better in the lashes. Again thank u

This was soooo helpful! You mentioned things that other folks have left out: size, cutting where and the WHY, the mascara point, when is best to curl the lashes. The whole package! Thanks! Oh, a question: what abot putting false lashes under your lashes. Thoughts? Tips?

thank you so much!! I don't believe it is safe to apply glue on the under part of your lashes, can be dangerous xo

I know you left info on the heated lash curler but is there another place I can purchase this lash curler because mine is about ten years old and the Mirenesse is not on Amazon. Can you recommend a trusted place I can buy one at a retail store. Please be so kind to let me know where to run down and grab one. Thanks so much! 🥰

What I got thinking of trying, rather than having an expensive "heated eyelash curler", is having a clean/ed regular eyelash curler, then "heating it" somewhat with a blow-dryer, & then using the warmed (regular) eyelash curler...
