Hey Gary, just watched your A6 disc's & pads vid.. good stuff! got warped discs on my A7 and brakes are the same, highly suspect that kwikfit overtorqued my wheel nuts! as the discs warped just after a full set of tyres all round!!!! thankfully pads are needing changed anyway... so just the extra expense of the discs! good vids m8 and you've got a new subscriber :)
Cheers dude, I suspect the tyre place had a roll to play in my warped discs also…. Not sure how much force the discs can withstand, but those tyre places use at least 5 ugga dugga’s as their torque spec! 🙈
@@gazgaz0 yeah I had some “spirited” B road driving afterwards also which got the discs a little hot.. so think the combination of wheel gun torque and heat just warped them, strange thing is it started off barely noticeable, and now it’s almost undriveable!
Good comprehensive video... Few pointers are that you could have given more details when changing the air filter and camera angle was little off. What's the tighten limit for sump screw. As well any chance for a video how to properly jack up the Audi on stands. I did it wrongly and it went through the side of the car costed me 1400 to fix 🙈...
I'm watching this after a failed oil change, put the car up on axle stands but couldn't get the undertray off. I didn't have the 10mm spline bit and half of the existing bolts are rounded :(
There’s approx 100k (miles) on the clock. I find Audi’s incredibly reliable as long as they are regularly maintained. Next preventative maintenance to be carried out will be a timing belt (I’ll be doing it before the interval - but will have piece of mind then). A soft spot on these cars is the clutch slave cylinder (which is located inside the gearbox bell housing). Mine went suddenly after 6 months of ownership ( clutch just dropped to the floor and wouldn’t come back up). The clutch was contaminated with hydraulic fluid as a result and needed replacement (you should also do the DM flywheel at the same time as the clutch!) All in - a repair bill of 2.5k 😬
Hi I have the Audi A6 sline ultra 2014 and I lifted the plastics where you’d fill the screen wash and there appears to be a box with clips and I am quite sure there should be a filter in there but there isn’t !? What filter would this be ?
For the screen wash it would just be a basic mesh, just to catch any large particles. They can break off overtime and end up in the washer bottle. It happened me once or twice and I just left it to be honest.... never caused any issues
Doing mine today, good tutorial!!
Great idea with the under tray. Could have saved me so much bollocking from me missus 😂😂

Maybe don’t go near cars
Thank you for you videeo!

Maybe doesnt matter but I noticed you put the new cabin filter in the opposite way to the old one
It does matter when he does soemting he should do it properly that's just gonna confuse people, I think he does it on purpose!
Gary great videos and a huge help as I'm trying to save costs. Can I ask in relation to the brakes did you need a device to unwind electric brake?
Yes - I use an Autel Autolink OBD2 scanner (about €120 on Amazon) , it’s paid for itself numerous times at this point and I highly recommend.
you didn't reset your oil and service inspection?
I did but forgot to film it....😜
@@gazgaz0 can you show???
What would be involved in a major service? Also great video 👍
Change of brake fluid, coolant, fuel filter, fan belt and timing belt if she’s due
hello thank you so much for your video! I have to change the oil, could you tell me where you positioned the stands? thank you very much
Underneath the front wishbones. Solid point, you can let the jack down a little to ensure the car is firmly supported
@@gazgaz0 is it possible to have a photo? thank you very much
How has been the reliability on this model? What's the mileage on it.
Thanks

What about the fuel filter
I skipped it during that service, but may warrant a future short video to cover the procedure 👍🏻
And airfilter direkt wrong inside 😁
