That was not the only thing wrong in the video - you apply oil to the new filter O-ring, you tighten filter housing to specified torque (usually 20-30 Nm), you check oil level on the instrument cluster with the bonnet open (this way it shows real time data, on the MMI screen does not).
I suppose it's up to you but the max level is where it should be if there aren't any issues. Engines often burn a little oil so the level will drop slowly.
I have heard that you need to reset the computer when you change the oil and filter some air might stay caught in the filter which can damage the fueĺ pump or the oil pump I'm not sure.
can you confirm the size / type of the four larger fixings to the undertray - 2 on either side. They don't appear to be Torx ? and I can't find a tool to fit....
This is wrong you sholud lose the oil filter first because when you lose it later it will relase old oil witch goes back in the oil pan

Brother love what you are doing respect.
Thanks Pagan 🙏
Have any of you tried the fumoto quick drain plugs on your cars? I'm thinking about installing one this time around
I haven’t, no, I’ll check them out.
No. They stick down too far, no longer flush.
Oil filter in my a6 c7 2015 3.0.tdi dont have this nipple sticking out of the filter
Bitdi only has this filter, your filter will be same part number but with a B at the end
Hello..why up to maximum? must the oil level be in the middle or not

It hits max when you put in exactly the amount that it calls for.
sound would be appreciated

Hi Ian, they are an M8 spline, the tool is shown in the video, unfortunately they aren’t always in regular tool kits so you may have to order some.
@@IAMASPANNER on mu 2015 A6 TDI, that is an M10, not an M8. Autozone had it available in a size-variety kit for $26.
Sump plug just hand tight ? Torq ?
30Nm
What size was the oil plug washer?
Sorry I’m not sure as they come in kits and I just match the existing washer.
@@IAMASPANNER Do you know if I can I get just a filter and drain plug in a kit?
@@andrewlenander7937 yes you can buy those parts individually, try your local motor factors like GSF or Millgate or try Eurocarparts online.
Change the Filter first...
