When wet sanding be sure to add dawn dish soap it helps make it easier to sand larger areas it helps the sand paper move more freely but has the same affect

Great video, did this on some work wheels I got for cheap back in the days. It was easier to polish then this since the face was flat and didn't have many spokes.
Only down side to this is, if you live any where that rains alot, your gonna have to re ppolish offten. Pretty much, your polishing the wheels atleast twice a week especially if you like to keep your car clean.
If your car have alot of break dust it's even worse and when it's not polish , it looks like crap. If you can afford it, powder coating silver or chrome will be better, less work keeping it shiny and cleaned.

what stripper did you use? i need to strip my clear on some G37 sport wheels and everything i've read says all the stripper formulas were changed a few years ago, and that the new formulas are a lot weaker. did you have to do multiple passes per wheel using the stripper?

The wheels turned out great, I'm sure a lot more people are gonna be cruising around on much nicer wheels because of this video. Couple things that made my project easier was i used a cordless drill, I found 2 and 3 inch buffing pads. There's wool and different foam pads I used and lastly I went with a grittier polish called Autosol. It comes in a tube, when polishing porous metals it turns any buffing pad black and the surface your working on like a mirror, sound good? Give it a try...👍🤠✌️

would that prevent re-oxidation since the clear coat has been removed? I'd rather not re-spray clear but I'm about to do this and don't want to have to take them off and scuff and clearcoat if that bare metal looks bad in a few months.

No not the case really. Aluminum starts oxidizing as soon as you finish cleaning/polishing it. Even if kept dry and clean, they will continue to tarnish/fade over time. Clear coat would solve the issue though.
I had a $3000 set of polished True Forged wheels (no clear) on my Cobra and shit, they were a pain in the ass to keep shiny af.

Great Job man, however, by just polishing the wheel you left it exposed to salt, water and heat..you should've de-grease it after polishing then apply clear coat
