What a treat for a Friday, to have a video from you!! I love your process of decluttering and it’s been helpful for me to keep thinking what I love, what I’ll use up, and what needs to go.
I laughed at how mercurial you were on that Too Faced gloss. You went from thinking about purchasing a full size to wanting to shoot it out of a cannon in two minutes.
I discovered your channel, and I'm watching all of your videos. I find this vlog so refreshing and inspiring. As someone who spends way too much of their disposal income on beauty products, when I would like to switch my focus to spending on experiences, this channel has been so amazing. I'm always drawn to the new products that come out, and can't resist the urge to purchase things because of that need to buy that you discuss in many of your videos. I'm finding this late on your journey , but in a weird way, its like finding a brand new TV show with multiple seasons I get to go back and enjoy. I'd love to try a no -buy, with similar rules to yours. I love the idea of trying to use what I have and find more joy in those products, rather than needlessly accumulating more and more. Thanks for being an inspiration to stop to the beauty shopping addiction, but also showing that you can make enjoyable videos (for the viewers) that show we can still enjoy the "vibes" of the UA-cam beauty community videos we all love, which help us relax and bring us joy, without getting sucked into the need to constantly buy new things to be a part of it.
This made me think about my own lip color collection. I really enjoyed your thought process as you went through each item. Lip products have been a big weakness that I am overcoming!

i have a weakness for lip balms and glosses. i'm not sure i would force myself to use things that irritate my lips (i.e. the ysl lip oil) but i really enjoyed the way this was shot!
I am considering not keeping the oil. It doesn't exactly irritate, it just doesn't moisturize like it promises and it leaves my lips dry. But after a few more tries with it I will re-asses.
I always used to fall for those colour changing lip products that promised to give you the perfect soft pinky lip colour, and every single time they turned my lips fuchsia. Trust me my perfect pink lip colour is very much NOT fuchsia.
Wow! That was so much more than I thought it would be. As I watched and listened to what you said about each item I was thinking about my drawer of balms and glosses that I love. It seems to be one of those items that you always want another and another. I have physically not go near those items in a store or I will get another one or two. I really need to do this. I will never in my lifetime be able to wear what I have at the moment. Thanks for the insight. Pray that I do as well as you did with yours! Lol.
I have pretty much cut out sugar, it's been several months since I had it. It's still hard for me to resist "treats" but when I do indulge it's in things that don't have sugar in them (like nut butter, grain-free cookies made with sugar alternatives, etc). I'm still on a journey with cravings but I feel a lot better without sugar in my diet.
I am so proud of you,when I look at your vanity it looks so beautifull,and structured,and there are only a few products,you did so well,since your start with your no buy.I started my no buy at the same time but I still own a lot more products than you.I decluttered many products in comparison what I started with,but it takes for me a lot longer to have as less products as you,but I am still proud at myself and it takes for everybody another time to get so far,everybody needs to follow his own feelings,by how much everybody can declutter and throw away.I knew when I started my no buy year,that it would be probably gets a no buy few years just because I knew I get a hard time decluttering and throw away.During my proces it starts to get a little easier,but it stays difficult.I try to do every season a declutter and I am proud when I declutter only a few items,I don’t find it hard anymore to throw things away which has bin expired,or products which get another consistency.But I still want to use up to many products.But I Made a lot of big steps and even more little steps,and I realy want to go on with my no buy and I hope to get once a vanity just like you,only filled with products that I realy love,and only a few of each catagory,but I need to go through this proces to make me strong enough to get there,and I am sure I get there,it only takes more time for me and I am okay with that.When I started my no buy in January I thought that by the end of this year I would be so far that I only owned a few products that I realy loved from each catagory,but after my first big declutter I already knew that it would cost me more time,just because I find it so difficult to declutter products without empty those,and then I knew that it would take me longer as a year,but I stay decluttering and throw items away but sometimes I can declutter 20 items and sometimes two.But I need to follow my own proces,that’s the most important because I want to feel happy about this project.The possitiv thing about it is that I learned so much about myself this year,and why I hoarderd make-up,just to make me feel good for a little while,and I learned to love the make-up that I have,and I can’t rush my process,because when i rush and declutter more than i want i am afraid to fall back in my old habbits,and i need to get rid of my old habbits.And i never want to go back to the time that i kept buying make-up.No,i love make-up,but it’s not healthy to keep buying,and i work to the time that i have a little make-up,only a few items per catagory,and only make-up that i realy love and want to use all the time,but i Will allow myself to own a few more eyeshadowpallets,those have bin always my weakness,but i love to play and find new eyeshadowlooks,but i think that 5 eyeshadowpallets Will be enough for me in the future.But i love to see Hannah how far you are in your proces,with no buying make-up,and decluttering,and throw away,and the little amount of make-up you have at this moment.I am realy proud of you,all that you have reached in those 10 months,it’s a complete mindset,and all you did in a short amount of time.I wished i could do my proces in such a short amount of time,but i just need a little more time,but that’s because everybody is different.I hope that you Will share with us the time after your no buy,because i think that you Will choose your make-up so thoughtfull,and also the amount of make-up that you Will buy Will be so thoughtfull,i hope that you Will share your “after my no buy year” to,with us.I am sure that every product you Will buy,would be a product that you know before how much you Will love it.Thank you Hannah for sharing everything with us,I think that every subscriber who is also in a no buy year,learn so much from you,I learned a lot from you and I am so gratefull for that,Thank you for everything you shared with us and learned us❤️
Hannah Louise Poston I am looking foreward to those.I am a big fan of your Chanel,and ofcourse from you.I love that you make a little longer video’s,and your voice is so relaxing.And I love how you are,I love that you love smudge make-up and your hair in a loose bun,not everything to precize and perfect,that’s just how I am,I have long curly hair and it never spits perfectly,it Goes his own way,and I am the same with my make-up,I love beautifull make-up,but I don’t wear it in a perfect way,that’s not who I am.I am a little bit chaotic,and so is my hair and make-up.And the way you wear your hair and do your make-up is right in my alley.That’s why I hope that you go on with your Chanel next year after your no buy❤️
I feel like one of the reason I fall out of love with lip products is that as they start to get old, the pigment gets more concentrated and the smoothing filling agents are less, especially with glosses and liquid lipsticks, because it's difficult to keep the formula homogenous. So over time, they feel less good to wear. I'm definitely over liquid lipsticks and have limited myself to only one or two glosses at a time. Also I really don't use lip products with mint in them anymore because they dry out my lips. I think a lot of lip balms actually make my lips worse and it's not hard to declutter them.
Great video! I'm really enjoying the declutter series! If I may make a suggestion/request? If it's not too much more trouble, I'd like to see the name of the product that you're talking about written out, maybe up top, so if we're interested we can know what to look for. Some of these names are super long or by the time you've finished your review about it, I've forgotten what it was called (because it's so long). Just an idea! 😊

I have a similar set of acrylic drawers and an acrylic lipstick holder, and after doing a declutter last weekend, all of my liquid lipsticks, lip pencils and lip glosses fit in one flat layer in the drawer, and I've got an empty space in my lipstick holder! It feels so awesome to be able to see everything and for my vanity to be less crowded! I look forward to watching the rest of your declutter series, I love hearing you talk through why you choose to keep or not to keep each product.

I've seen the set, it looks lovely but personally I would not want to buy 4 of those (even if three are minis) because the full size takes so very long to go through. I wouldn't want four kicking around in my house taking up space. But it would be great to break up for gifts.
love hearing your thoughts! i'm actually a bit on the fence on the fenty gloss bomb because of how strong the scent is. I dislike the UD glosses because they are so sticky and the full size urks me because gloss keeps getting out the edges/top of the packaging and seeps out. But I'm a big fan of the buxom glosses so we probably have different taste haha
ooh, sorry to hear that about the UD gloss packaging! I hate it when tube-packaged products don't stay in their tube. My favorite mascara is IT Superhero but I may never buy it again because of this problem :(
I feel guilty now, just picked up a Lorac lip gloss set & 2 NARS mini lipsticks. In my defense, the Lorac was cheap, I culled out 2 glosses to gift to friends for Xmas, the NARS minis are great, I can try the product without spending full price & panning them will be easy.
If they are the right things at the right time for you, no need to feel guilty! I'm hoping to get the diamond milk gloss next year. I might try to wait until I pan a gloss...not sure :)
Hannah Louise Poston the Lorac was a set of 6 full sized glosses for $25, two of those would give me corpse lips & will be gifted, the other 4 are perfect. I go through lip gloss pretty fast. The mini lipsticks are a hit, trying a formula before committing to a full size seems perfect to me
I’m just laughing because le rouge perfecto was sent to me by Influenster and since then I’ve repurchased it two times. I’m about to run out of it and I’m about to cry because I’m running low. I would give my left kidney to repurchase it lol !!! It’s basically my favorite everyday lip. I have my agave lip mask and I use it every day but if you say the linaige is better I will get that one when I finish my agave lip mask. ❤️❤️ if I wasn’t a makeup artist I would have 3 lipsticks 5 top, 2 glosses and 5 everyday lip products like lip mask, lip scrub and le rouge perfecto, dior coral glow and dior raspberry glow. 😍 I’m not a lipstick person.
I have a shameful amount of lip balms. Shameful. I think somewhere around 20. I was intrigued by the Laniege Lip Mask, but I’m currently using the Laneige facial moisturizer and I don’t love it which is making me less interested in the mask. However, I only have 3 lip glosses. The two Fenty glosses (Glow and Diamond Milk) and an ABH gloss in metallic rose that I’ve owned for a little bit. It’s pretty much a deep, medium and light gloss and its the perfect amount for me. I would even venture to say its the most curated part of my collection!
I kind of think of balms as a skincare product, which means theoretically they should be more pan-able than makeup? The problem is that the lips have such a small surface area.
I really would like to see a video made from those "friends" who received all the decluttered items from their friends. I wonder why there aren't videos like it. Where did all those decluttered items go? LOL
none of my friends make youtube videos! But they also don't really own much makeup, so they are always excited to receive a little care package from me after these videos.

The Nyz butter gloss in Praline is one of my HG... Glosses aren't my favorite, but it is the 1 gloss I always have in my collection

Oils have a short life after u open them.. so i would double check if it s still ok to use that oil for lips u mentioned
