I love rewatching this playlist. It helps me ground myself on my extended no buy. I also get to giggle “oh but Hannah… you will some day have a dedicated beauty/filming room!” 😅
That wasn't boring at all! I don't like these "special makeup rooms with collections like a shop display" tours. Your collection, storage and the whole room is something real, like you take a look at your friend's makeup 😃 I like your office a lot 👍
One of the many reasons I love watching your videos: Seeing your Norton Anthology of Poetry in the background. I still have mine from college! Tons of great stuff in there. Thanks for sharing your collection with us!
I love your IBM Selectric. I love the idea of occasionally using it for composition as well. I learned to type on a selectric and my first office job, I used one for typing letters, etc. And yeah, you are pretty limited for deletions. Whenever I watch a film or tv show that has a selectric as a prop, I get a little tingle of nostalgia. They are also a bomb solid typewriter that will probably never die as long as you can get ribbons for it. I kept one at work for years and years after they were considered necessary equipment because they were so handy for typing a handful of labels or envelopes when it wasn't enough to bother with a mail merge...|...They sell the Derma E line at my food co-op and I have tried their vitamin c products and they really work and are great for the price. I got some vintage cigar boxes at an antique store for $5 each and I use them for shadow singles and lip products and the amount of vanity clutter they eliminated was huge. I have little drawers like that in an acrylic holder and they are kind of annoying to get things in and out of, but the cigar boxes are just easy.
Love it! :) I don't know how into fashion you are, but have you ever thought about doing some no buy year look books? You look like a Renaissance painting, specially your hair :)
Um, I'm VERY into fashion. I've thought about this but I'm not sure how to do it logistically (the look book). I'll keep thinking, though, I'm sure I could figure it out. Thanks for the encouragement!
One day (like in 2-3 years lol), I hope to condense my makeup to my 2 drawers in my alex desk. Thanks for sharing this! It reminds me of how smaller/realistic collections used to look.
I’m so glad I found this video to keep me company on my way to work. I love hearing you speak - it reminds me to be more thoughtful with my words during the course of my day.
Thank you for sharing this, had been hoping to see a collection-type video (: Would also love to see your KonMarie process and any decluttering along the way, I find that the less I spend, the less I want (including things I already own)!
Hannah, you are so calm and elegant. Your videos are really soothing to watch and listen to. Thank you for sharing your space and good taste with us. The lights are great recommendation. Thanks again! Meg
You are very welcome. The clumsiness, if any, is just being genuine. It does not disrupt from your femininity or genuine poise. Your personality is wonderful without extensive rehearsals. Dancers are often harsh on ourselves, critiquing our every gesture. I hope your day is wonderful. -Meg
Oh. My. Gosh. That is an IBM Selectric, right? That is what I learned to type on in high school back in 1989, lol! Love it!! Nothing beats the feel and sound of those keys...
Omg, I wasn’t looking for someone that was doing a no buy year but ur exactly what I was looking for!! I was think of doing it to but for 2019 and document it to lol
I'm so glad you stumbled across my channel! If a year seems super long, you could join no-buy September just to see how it goes. A video about it will go up on Saturday.
Thank you for sharing. I always assumed your collection was bigger, but as it turns out, you're simply resourceful. That's why I am subscribed. Can't wait for the declutter series and inventory.
I was so curious as to whether people would be surprised by how big it is, or by how small it is! It's worth noting that many sections have been pared down (for example I started the year with nine mascaras, I think?). But this is basically the shape of things. Thanks for watching! xoxo
Dude neosporin has been my zit secret for like 15 years!!! You are the first other person I’ve ever seen recommend it. I’m allergic to salicylic acid so I try to fight the infection portion with the antibiotics. Works well.
One of the videos I wana see from you is a book collection video! Talk about books you love, that have made an impact on you, talk about your writing! I'm a writer and I would love to see such a video from you
Hannah Louise Poston Awww I love yours too! I’ve been secretly watching your no buy year for ages! You’re doing SO well and inspire me all the time! xx
Your office is so cute. Yes, you are lucky to have a W/D hookup in DTLA! Love all your books. That’s one area of my life I doubt I could ever de-clutter!
This made me so happy! I love the idea of using a typewriter to muzzle the inner editor! And your plants! In one of your other videos you talk about having a plant shaped hole in your heart and that’s me, too! It’s uncanny how similar our spending habits are. I have dropped hundreds of dollars a month on plants 🙈🙈🙈 At any rate, I would love to see your whole apartment! I just love your aesthetic (and you).
What a refreshing, realistic and eclectic makeup collection! Love it, and let me just also mention that you are my main inspiration for entering a no-buy 2019! :)
I use many Derma E products - they are great! I use the unscented body moisturizer, and have used it on my face as well. You need to try the mineral sunscreen and the overnight peel once you are able to purchase again. The price point is excellent and the products are well formulated. Thanks for sharing your space!
I’m not sure if Derma E offers sample packets of the sunscreen - I know they do with some of their items. I have tried a lot of mineral sunscreens, and hands down it is the best. It has a nice lotion consistency (hydrating, not greasy) absorbs readily, and doesn’t leave a white cast. It also wears well under makeup.
I really enjoyed this video! Like someone else said, I felt like you probably owned more and was surprised to find out that you’re just really, really resourceful and versatile with your looks. I loved that it wasn’t Instagram worthy store-type display of “stuff” but the sort of down to earth set up that more normal people like us have lol just one vanity, perhaps a little shelf, and stuff on the top not looking perfectly curated for consumption by others. I have significantly more shit than you do, and this made me look through my own stuff to find what may need to be rehomed or straight up discarded, and I now have a small little pile I hope I can grow in the coming weeks and months. It also put into sharp contrast my problem areas lol I have a whole drawer dedicated to eyeshadow and the little containers I keep for blush are struggling not to burst and shatter into pieces at how much stuff I have. The highlighters are approaching dangerous capacity after I spent well over a year on the search for the perfect healthy glow for my stupidly dry skin, not realizing that was meant to be addressed more with skincare and base products...oops. Everything else I’m surprisingly okay with (seven foundations, because I have that absurdly hard to match tan skin with olive undertones, plus dry skin so need to Frankenstein my base on the daily to match and suit, though I could afford to lose at least 3 foundations; one brow gel, one pomade and 2 shadows suitable to my brows, two face powders, etc. hardly overflowing with the essentials), but where the artist in me gets in trouble are the color products and that dang highlighter obsession lol. I need to pare down my lipsticks a bit (another area not overflowing but pushing my limits, but I came to own them via gifts or samples, I’m not naturally attracted to hoarding lip products since they go bad so easily), but the shadows... good lord. I need a self intervention in that department. Seeing your much more small collection of palettes and singles was a breath of fresh air, and made me realize my shadow drawer and blush selections are giving me anxiety lol. Time to start rehoming some of this stuff.
I also have hard-to-match skin and that's part of why my base makeup section is so tiny! Maybe it's a blessing in disguise :) When I was organizing, one of my main principles was that I wanted to be able to see everything. If I open my drawer and I can't see all of my blushes, I NEVER use the ones that are buried under the others. That might be somewhere to start if you are feeling overwhelmed by your blushes and eyeshadows. I had to get rid of some things so that they would fit into the drawer in such a way that I could see everything.
I definitely added RuPaws calendar to my gift list for Mr Adjacent. He is tough to buy for but I think he’d love that! We are in the process of buying a house and I’m planning to set up a home office, and I’ve been trying to decide whether to put my vanity in there or in our bedroom. I worry I’d get distracted by makeup when I’m trying to work! How has that aspect worked for you? I enjoyed seeing the home office tour as well as the vanity/collection. I’m looking forward to seeing your declutter videos and how your collection looks afterwards!
"Mr. Adjacent," LOL! I hope he loves it as much as I do! It came with a bunch of stickers :) The thing I love most about having the vanity in here (apart from ease of filming) is that it's NOT in the bedroom. The bedroom is pretty spare now, just the bedside tables, some tall wire shelving that only has a few blankets folded on it, and our bed. I also didn't hang art everywhere (just one long painting over the bed). I like the simplicity and calm in there now. It feels spacious and light, and I think I sleep better and enjoy other bedroom-times more since the vanity is removed. I also never really have a problem getting distracted, but I'm pretty focused when there's work to be done. I'd say it was more of a disturbance in the bedroom than it is in here (though I didn't know that until I moved it). Congrats on your house! Dream come true!
Love having the sneak peek into your office/vanity/multi-purpose room. It helps to see what you’re starting with when making your looks. I I really like buying pieces of art when I travel. That mask from Buenos Aires in beautiful! The BF & I are going to BA in November for 2 weeks! I can’t wait.
Oh my gosh, have fun in BA! Are you a tango dancer? Even if you aren't, it might be worthwhile go to La Viruta one night and see the people dancing! I had such an amazing time there, I stayed in Palermo and lived on steak, wine, and gluten-free empanadas for two months :)
Hannah Louise Poston I’m not a tango dancer. I’m a third generation restaurant lifer. My mom and grandfather were chefs their whole lives. I was a “mixologist” and front maitre’d until I started working for myself about a year ago. All that’s to say that I go to foodie cities when I travel, and I KNOW the food in BA will be wonderful. I’ll put La Viruta on the list for sure. I’m all about soaking in the authentic culture. I even bought a pair of sturdy kitten heels Incase I do decide to take tango lessons :) Thanks for the kind words. I can’t wait to go!
I came back to finish watching once I had a day off. I think our makeup collections are somewhat on a similar level! I do however currently have a lot of skincare to go through. By the way, I love spraying thermal water on my face first thing after cleansing. I may be wrong, but I feel like since I've been doing that my skin had been better. Love the amount of books. I'm about to start a process of changing my old furniture I grew up with to a new setup, hopefully a bookshelf, maybe even with glass doors could enter my life. An armchair too!
Can’t wait to see your declutter series! Nearing the end of my No Buy month I feel the same need to declutter the stuff I can now safely say I know I’ll never use. I’ve become increasingly drawn to multi use products and like you’ve said before, cultivating a personal collection of products I love and can rely on. Thanks for another great video ❤️
LOOOOOOVE this! Finally I know the space you are working from and bringing me a lot of inspo and joy! I know I am little behind and you already are finished with this project but I just want to watch it in order an relive it with you :D Thank you :)
HI GEORGIA!!!! I know, I'm obsessed with Dog Boy. I gushed about it for like 5 min when I was filming and then I had to edit out a big chunk (story of my life)
Jadey Pinkett Smith. Now that's funny! Your painting of you as a child was beautifully done. Thanks for sharing your set up and collection. I am whittling mine down, too. I hope to have 10-15 items only by the end of 2019 (skincare included!). Right now I have 50+ items total in all categories. Too much, way too much. Looking forward to the declutter videos.
I love collection videos ! I thought you had more to be honest. My makeup collections is insane compared to yours that’s why started my no buy year that and the over spending ! 😂❤️ love your space and the plants are beautiful !
Your acrylic storage from Amazon can be found if anyone searches for the brand “Byalegory” 😊❤️ But there’s a company called SONNY COSMETICS who makes excellent acrylic storage as well .... for the ALEX DRAWERS their lipsticks storage IS SECOND TO NONE !!! Plus I like their lipsticks storage also because they’re “TALLER” than the ones available elsewhere so I can put all my lipsticks, upside down, even the MAC lipsticks, which really with Round tops (without them falling over)so that I can see the name of the shades❤️😊
Hi, Hannah! I justed started my last year in law school. Tons of stress are coming my way lol. You video really helps me with my stress. Thank you so much!!. Running is another thing that I do to distress. I think wanting things and constantly buying things can be stressful as well. I rearranged my colorpop all i see is magic pallete and I feel really inspired! Honestly that's my only pallette and I am happy. I have been using it 5 months in a roll. (Of course, it's my only pallette but I do have a bunch of singles.) It's still super interesting. I am not tired of it. I panned three shades. I don't plan on buying any makeup any time soon but I am definitely thinking of getting naked3 or colorpop fame pallete. I recommend posh
my sister just went through law school! She's in her first year at a firm right now. I totally know how stressful it is, having seen her go through it. Congrats on starting your last year! I totally agree that wanting things and trying to decide about buying them is super taxing. Not having to do that during the no-buy has been a serious relief.
I loved to see this video, and you have a beautifull room with multiple uses, and Some nice art work.I deffinetly loved to see your vanity and your make-up,as you know I am also in a no buy project which I want it longer to last than a year, and I have now I think twice as much as you have on make up,and I realy did a few major declutters this year,so I thought that I already did a great job, because I used many products up,but when I see your vanity than I know that I have Some more decluttering to do,not because I want to have the same amount as you,but because the lesser products you have, the better the organisation.Since I started my no buy project,I did Some major declutters and every declutter gave me more rest in my head because I could organize my products better, and I know what I own,and I want to go on with this project until I have a “normal” amount of make-up,and ofcourse when I Will be so far I Will buy a new product when it’s empty, and I want to have a few different options with each catagory,I like to have a few foundations, powders, blushes, lipsticks, pencils and perfumes.During this year I started to notice the less products I have,I get more creativ, because I know which products I have, which colours and I love to play with my products, find new looks. Before this year when I stayed buying new make-up,I only played with the new products untill I bought something new and the older products came in my make-up stash and after a while I forgot those products,or I bought multiple products and they ended up in my make-up stash even in the package. When I started my no buy I had 15new mascara’s in the packaging, now I have still 11,and when I open up a new one I look for the expire date,I am so glad that Some products when they are not opened have a long expire date, and I needed to throw so many make-up away which was new,but already expired,I never want back to that time as I see how much money I Neede to throw away.I Will always be someone who likes to have a few eyeshadowpallets, and for all the other catagories I like a few products, but realy not more than that,I want to have in the future a vanity where I can put all my make-up on,so I can see what I have, and it’s much easier to choose, and I like it that my creativity comes back, and I like to play with my make-up,that brings me so much more joy, than the joy I had when I bought new make-up,that feeling of joy is so short. For my feeling I totaly switched by always buying new make-up which was on sale,to a no buy with massive declutters, but I realy needed that switch, and I learned so much about it.By watching your video’s,I recognice so much, and that also helped me,I started my no buy when I felt I needed to do that at that point, and that’s why I don’t experience it as difficult, because I realy wanted to,and I only buy one product if I totaly ran out of that catagory, and my husband likes to give me for christmas, valentinesday, and my birthday a eyeshadowpallet as a present, and I realy love that and enjoy that but I never feel the urge to need to buy make-up.Thank you for your beautifull video again, now I get excited to go and declutter my make-up again, even if it are only a few products, also the little declutters count.I decluttered last week 4lipglosses,1nailpolish,4single eyeshadowcremes which went dry
@@HannahLouisePoston awesome!!!!! New subbie i need all the motivation i can get to stop buying stuff just because its a new release or mostly every youtuber is saying how great something is then i purchase and think its meh and then toss it to the side.lol any videos on how to stay true as possible when trying to go on a No Buy. My name is mai and im addicted to makeup.lol
Okay how did I miss this when you posted it! I was ready to see everything. :) Some takeaways: That room is way tinier than I thought it would be! I like that every piece of art means something to you. Your makeup stash is smaller than I imagined. I think you definitely have more skincare than most. (I did buy Luna after seeing your videos and I'm loving it.) I'm interested to know, having seen your collection, what your ideal collection is now in your mind. Is it one favorite of each item, only one color, etc? Also, and I know I'm just being terribly greedy, but would you consider doing sewing or dancing videos? You have such unique talents that I think it would make for fascinating videos. Great job Hannah!
The 'ideal collection' question is so interesting! I'll try to address that in my declutter series. & I'll see if I can make some dancing and work videos, too :)
I really enjoyed seeing your office tour and makeup collection! I love that palette that you curated yourself, with the bronze and green. Looking forward to seeing what items you will end up decluttering. While I did a low/no buy this year, next year I am considering a full no buy. I am thinking about rules right now...
This is interesting to me, because I am lucky to have a room as an office in the apartment - it reminded me how lucky I am to have my own room, but I haven't been able to maximise its use, because of other issues to do with my relationship with stuff. Like you, all my vanity stuff is in there, with the art materials, other bric-a-brac and a clothes drying rack. It doesn't have a professional atmosphere. I have seen an architect's office near where I live that looks like something, but I haven't started tackling my office. Your video has inspired me.
I've decluttered over half of my makeup, and I still feel like I have too much too! So I'm still actively decluttering during my play time. Everything goes into a box that I bring to work once in a while for others to go through.
YOU'RE A TAR HEEL GIRL!!!!!!!! ME TOO!!! I've been going over your videos from this past year. I'm from Northwestern NC just a stones throw away from Grandfather Mountain and the ski resorts. Also I can get to Tennessee in ten minutes. I love your life. You are a writer, you are artistic to the max and are eclectic. I saw your typewriter and sighed. A typewriter! I cried. I love it!. An NC girl in LA. Go get em! I would love to see some of your work, your writing. I dabble at it. I write things I know, my childhood, poems, just anything that suits my fancy. I love beautiful thing and enjoy them much like you. I knew there was something that drew me towards you. You have good common southern sense. I will be following your videos as you go into the new year.
Where did you get the lights? I didn't see them linked and that's EXACTLY what I'm looking for! PS I love your collection! Thanks for giving us a peek!
Reddit brought me here, and I’ve been binging. Had to comment on Chad Sell though. I got dorky excited to see another Drag Race fan with his work. A framed set of his Trixie and Katya postcards was a Christmas gift last year, and I’m a bit jealous of your giant print of Pearl “Do I have something on my face?” Liaison.
I LOVE his work! I didn't even show my favorite, which is a poster-sized print of Bob the Drag Queen from the season 8 neon challenge. It's hanging in our main room, it has pride of place.
there is a hair video in the works! I'm currently on day 12 since my latest wash and I've been documenting the whole thing. Keep an eye out, it should be up within the next couple of weeks!
Yay I’ve been waiting for the collection video! Have you counted up how many of each product you have? I’m always interested to see what other people’s collection numbers (and goal collection numbers) are like.
I haven't counted! I'll definitely include that in my declutter series. I don't think I have goal numbers, though, I'll probably just feel it out :) But maybe one I feel what's right I'll get an idea of what my ideal numbers are.
Hi Hannah, First I wanna say I love your channel... I wish I would have found you sooner. My sister and I love makeup and we enjoy watching youtube, but we got wrapped up in buying and buying. I am so mad at myself for doing that. I can't tell you how many pallettes I have cause I am affraid to know. You have taught me so much. I just wantef to say Thank you. I look forward to watchimg your videos and I still love mskeup but I've learned that I don't have to buy to next best thing. Thank you
I live for your pauses during city ambience sounds. I grew up in south LA and went to school in Long Beach. Those pauses were annoying but they really made you stop and think about what you were going to say. Sometimes it wasn't worth it lol
I'm glad I was able to film a "before" of my collection, pre-no-buy. It's hard to tell if we have very different collection sizes because all of mine is in a short drawer unit. My vanity is right in front of a window so I'm afraid to keep too many things on top of it in case they melt in the sun or get discolored. But then I'm more likely to use things if they're sitting out in front of me, so it's a slight conundrum. This time about 3 years ago my collection was bursting out of the Ikea Alex drawer unit, but only thanks to decluttering is it as small as it is now. I'm very interested to see how much actually gets used up if I'm not constantly bringing in new products.
Wait... you only wash your hair once a week? How? I have to wash my hair at least once a day, sometimes twice if I’ve been to the gym and then I’m going out. 🙈
Hi! New viewer - found you through Hailey Evans. Must be kismet - I have a jade plant named Jada Pinkett Smith! And a snake plant named Ulysses S Plant. Never "met" someone else that named their plants!!!
I enjoyed this very much. I'm always curious about the makeup, and set up that others have, especially those who are "regular" people ( UA-cam is not their job). Yay for the Good Genes. I'm going to give the Ordinary Lactic Acid 10% a shot after I finish my acids, but there is something special about Good Genes, sadly the price is hard to take.
I know, it's just soooo much $$$. I'm starting to think of it as a special occasion product (like a facial). I'm going to keep focusing on the one from The Ordinary as my daily lactic acid. Glad you enjoyed the video!
Given all of the eyeshadows and lip products you have, what will be your guideline for buying new ones in the future? You can't possibly use them up and replace, so I suppose it would be more about what you really want to own. I've been thinking about this because although I don't have a large collection, I have more blush and eyeshadow than I could ever use.
I've been using all of these products for well over a year! Some of them might need more trial time, but for many of them, I know exactly how I feel and I just need to face the music :)
Cute apartment. We're in Santa Clarita. Still expensive, but more affordable than LA proper. We do own a house though. Everyone thinks we're so far away, but my wife works downtown and it only takes her about 30 min to get to work.
@@HannahLouisePoston Well, to be 100 percent transparent, she does leave for work at 3am. She's a Sgt with LAPD. However, she can get home in 45 to an hour in the afternoon.
wait that's ALL your makeup? Here I thought you had a huge makeup collection, considering the focus on the no-buy. That's probably like 1/10 of all the makeup that I have...
I was wondering if people would think this was a lot or a little! I have done some minor decluttering this year, but this is most of what I started out with. I know it's not that much compared to a lot of beauty lovers, but before the 2016 election I only had ONE eyeshadow palette. So in my life, there has been an explosion of buying and collecting over the past year and a half. If I hadn't started the no-buy, I might have twice this much by now.
Hannah Louise Poston It’s interesting that your buying habits changed after the 2016 election. I started watching makeup videos as a response to all of the bad news I saw. It’s been a way for me to escape harsh realities. Along with watching beauty videos, though, I’ve also been spending more. I do enjoy the products I’ve purchased, but I do need to watch myself. Your videos have given me much to think about, and your soothing voice is a great escape from the “real world.”
I heard you say that you are searching for good mineral sunscreen and I wanted to let you know of 3 highly efficient mineral sunscreen in $10 to $35 price range .... Australian gold ($10), Cotz ($20 @ ulta) and Make prem ($35?) 😊❤️
I was wondering how you managed to always have new items each month.... then you show your (whittled down) collection... no wonder you wanted to do a no-buy :) you have an entire showroom in your office.
Video is way too long with too much unnecessary talking for a makeup video. Many ppl watch these videos during the day while at work on breaks and lunches. Keep that in mind next time.
Sugar Dune LMAO self absorbed much? Her videos. Not yours. UA-cam is very large..I’m sure you can locate something else that suits YOUR NEEDS. 🤦🏼♀️People are unreal.
Your collection, storage and the whole room is something real, like you take a look at your friend's makeup 😃 I like your office a lot 👍
thanks Agnieszka!
One of the many reasons I love watching your videos: Seeing your Norton Anthology of Poetry in the background. I still have mine from college! Tons of great stuff in there. Thanks for sharing your collection with us!
Ah, I love that book! Glad you noticed :)
This was like having a friend show you around. I loved it 💃🏾💃🏾
yay, thank you! xoxo!
I love your IBM Selectric. I love the idea of occasionally using it for composition as well. I learned to type on a selectric and my first office job, I used one for typing letters, etc. And yeah, you are pretty limited for deletions.
I like the fact you don’t need an Alex drawer. Love your office!!!
at this point an alex drawer might swallow my collection whole!
Thank you for sharing this, had been hoping to see a collection-type video (:
Would also love to see your KonMarie process and any decluttering along the way, I find that the less I spend, the less I want (including things I already own)!
I will definitely be filming some decluttering! xo!
Hannah, you are so calm and elegant. Your videos are really soothing to watch and listen to. Thank you for sharing your space and good taste with us. The lights are great recommendation. Thanks again! Meg
aw, thank you, Meg! Elegant is what I aspire to, but I often feel like a clumsy dolt. I appreciate this
You are very welcome.

I'm so glad you stumbled across my channel! If a year seems super long, you could join no-buy September just to see how it goes. A video about it will go up on Saturday.
Hannah Louise Poston, I’m sooo bad at shopping for makeup I’m already making a list for next year 😱 I’m looking forward to watching u 😊
Your skin looks absolutely radiant!!!
THANKS! It's 33% Kevin Aucoin Neo Highlighter in Sahara, 33% Colourpop Spoon, and 33% movie magic :)
This is what the room of one's own should look like!
:)
I don't think we can budget for "Hannah's Beauty Room" but maybe we should plan for "Hannah's Broody Room" LOL 😹🃏❤️😜🤺
WHATEVER YOU SAY, DARLING
Thank you for sharing. I always assumed your collection was bigger, but as it turns out, you're simply resourceful. That's why I am subscribed. Can't wait for the declutter series and inventory.
I was so curious as to whether people would be surprised by how big it is, or by how small it is! It's worth noting that many sections have been pared down (for example I started the year with nine mascaras, I think?). But this is basically the shape of things. Thanks for watching! xoxo

AWWW thanks Uttkantha! It's the Kevin Aucoin powder and colourpop spoon! I'm loving the combo so much!
LOVE seeing your space and how you organize your skincare and makeup!!🧚🏻♀️🧚🏻♀️🧚🏻♀️
Thanks, Lisa!
Dude neosporin has been my zit secret for like 15 years!!! You are the first other person I’ve ever seen recommend it. I’m allergic to salicylic acid so I try to fight the infection portion with the antibiotics. Works well.
it works perfectly!
One of the videos I wana see from you is a book collection video! Talk about books you love, that have made an impact on you, talk about your writing! I'm a writer and I would love to see such a video from you
oh my gosh, a full book collection video would be ten years long :) But I could do a kind of "best of" at some point. Thanks for the suggestion!
Can’t wait for the declutter series!! Thanks for taking us on a tour! Your office is bloody gorgeous! xx
HAILEY! I love your channel!!!
Hannah Louise Poston Awww I love yours too! I’ve been secretly watching your no buy year for ages! You’re doing SO well and inspire me all the time! xx
So happy you filmed this videos because I've been dying to see your collection lol I can't wait for your declutter videos
HI Heather! Thanks! I'm excited to declutter. I was going to wait until the end of the year but I think I might start this week :)
Enjoyed this video! Looking forward to the next collection video
yah, I can't wait to start on the declutter! Maybe as soon as this week :)
Declutter series, YAY! Those are my favourites :) and so are you !
thanks, Nina! I'm so excited to start it.
Your office is so cute. Yes, you are lucky to have a W/D hookup in DTLA! Love all your books. That’s one area of my life I doubt I could ever de-clutter!
thanks, Paulette!
Cute little space. Kimberly Clark has a DIY project that solves that back of the drawer problem. I will try to find and send...
Kimberly is my soul sister
What a refreshing, realistic and eclectic makeup collection! Love it, and let me just also mention that you are my main inspiration for entering a no-buy 2019! :)
thank you so much, Maria!
I use many Derma E products - they are great! I use the unscented body moisturizer, and have used it on my face as well. You need to try the mineral sunscreen and the overnight peel once you are able to purchase again. The price point is excellent and the products are well formulated. Thanks for sharing your space!
I didn't know Derma E made a mineral sunscreen! I wish I could get a sample of it. Is there any way to do that?
It came with a bunch of stickers :)
The thing I love most about having the vanity in here (apart from ease of filming) is that it's NOT in the bedroom.
Hannah Louise Poston thank you for the reply! I've been thinking about this a lot -- a minimal bedroom is appealing to me too!
Love having the sneak peek into your office/vanity/multi-purpose room. It helps to see what you’re starting with when making your looks. I
I really like buying pieces of art when I travel.
I even bought a pair of sturdy kitten heels Incase I do decide to take tango lessons :)
Thanks for the kind words.
I had SO much skincare at the beginning of the year, but when I stopped buying it I started using it up rapidly!
Thanks, Hayley! I'm so glad you enjoyed it and that you are feeling the declutter urge as well. xo!
LOOOOOOVE this! Finally I know the space you are working from and bringing me a lot of inspo and joy! I know I am little behind and you already are finished with this project but I just want to watch it in order an relive it with you :D Thank you :)
Ohhhh! I love the dog boy print.
HI GEORGIA!!!! I know, I'm obsessed with Dog Boy. I gushed about it for like 5 min when I was filming and then I had to edit out a big chunk (story of my life)
I'm so excited for this declutter series!!!
me toooooo!
Looking forward to the declutter videos.
wow, your collection is going to be so streamlined! that's an amazing goal.
Yes! I have been waiting for you to do a video like this 😊
me too! For some reason I was worried about handheld filming, but it went ok.
I love collection videos ! I thought you had more to be honest. My makeup collections is insane compared to yours that’s why started my no buy year that and the over spending ! 😂❤️ love your space and the plants are beautiful !
thank you!
Your acrylic storage from Amazon can be found if anyone searches for the brand “Byalegory” 😊❤️
But there’s a company called SONNY COSMETICS who makes excellent acrylic storage as well .... for the ALEX DRAWERS their lipsticks storage IS SECOND TO NONE !!! Plus I like their lipsticks storage also because they’re “TALLER” than the ones available elsewhere so I can put all my lipsticks, upside down, even the MAC lipsticks, which really with Round tops (without them falling over)so that I can see the name of the shades❤️😊
thanks!
Poshmark to you.
my sister just went through law school! She's in her first year at a firm right now. I totally know how stressful it is, having seen her go through it. Congrats on starting your last year! I totally agree that wanting things and trying to decide about buying them is super taxing. Not having to do that during the no-buy has been a serious relief.
So fun! Thank you for inviting us in!
Thanks, Alicia!
For my feeling I totaly switched by always buying new make-up which was on sale,to a no buy with massive declutters, but I realy needed that switch, and I learned so much about it.By watching your video’s,I recognice so much, and that also helped me,I started my no buy when I felt I needed to do that at that point, and that’s why I don’t experience it as difficult, because I realy wanted to,and I only buy one product if I totaly ran out of that catagory, and my husband likes to give me for christmas, valentinesday, and my birthday a eyeshadowpallet as a present, and I realy love that and enjoy that but I never feel the urge to need to buy make-up.Thank you for your beautifull video again, now I get excited to go and declutter my make-up again, even if it are only a few products, also the little declutters count.I decluttered last week 4lipglosses,1nailpolish,4single eyeshadowcremes which went dry
thank you! I'm so glad you enjoyed the video and I hope your declutter is going well!
Your skin looks so good in this video omg
THANK you! It's the Kevin Aucoin neo highlighter in sahara and colourpop spoon! (And the magic of the ring light, LOL!)
I've been waiting for this. You look beautiful as always!
thank you! xoxo!
Lovely...collection videos are some of my favorites. Very interested to hear about the Erin's Faces SPF, how nice that they sent you some to try! 💜
I know! I'm thrilled! So far I think it might be the winner!
Awesome i need to try a No buy year and use the stuff i have. Nice collection
thank you! If a year seems long, perhaps a month? I'm going to upload a video for No Buy September on the 1st :)
You’re so beautiful Hannah! I’m really enjoying your channel.
Aw, thank you Xandii! xo!
OMG!!! I used to actually work on that very same typewriter model!!! Late 80s early 90s!!! An eternity ago...WOW!!!
that's awesome! Joe has a red one in his office. We love them!
I really enjoyed seeing your office tour and makeup collection! I love that palette that you curated yourself, with the bronze and green. Looking forward to seeing what items you will end up decluttering. While I did a low/no buy this year, next year I am considering a full no buy. I am thinking about rules right now...
Hi Lisa! I'm so glad you enjoyed it :)
Everything goes into a box that I bring to work once in a while for others to go through.
lucky work friends! :)
Funny enough, I don't feel that at all. I feel like I'm offloading a burden onto them. However many did express their gratitude.
i have that same ikea vanity table too, it definitely reminds me of youtube 3-4 years ago.
I like the clean lines!
:)
Where did you get the lights? I didn't see them linked and that's EXACTLY what I'm looking for! PS I love your collection! Thanks for giving us a peek!
oh no, I forgot to link them! Fixing it now, check back in 5
Thanks!!!! ❤️❤️❤️
Awesome room! You’ve got a great products! 🌸💜
Thanks!
You look amazing love the glow!
thank you! It's the kevin aucoin powder & colourpop spoon!
Such a nice office. You have some good stuff.
Thanks, Courtnay!
OMG I need to know what you do to keep your hair “fresh” for 10+ days!! My hair gets oily after two days and STINKS after three. How???
there is a hair video in the works! I'm currently on day 12 since my latest wash and I've been documenting the whole thing. Keep an eye out, it should be up within the next couple of weeks!
Hannah Louise Poston Hannah I went to check if you had posted this video about your haircare but did not see one. Hope it is coming soon!🤞. Thanks!
Thank you
you dont need to mix things all together, when repressing broken brozer😋
I tried it many times, it works fine😎
Really beautiful space!
thanks, Kesley!
Would love an updated video on your collection now! ❤️❤️❤️
it's much the same! It takes forever to pan makeup!
I live for your pauses during city ambience sounds. I grew up in south LA and went to school in Long Beach. Those pauses were annoying but they really made you stop and think about what you were going to say. Sometimes it wasn't worth it lol
We have a lot of the same skincare products!
:)
Love that green palette
Me too! Dirty greeny bronze is everything to me right now.
I have the same lights! They are fabulous! I also have a small ikea desk as a vanity... slightly different though.
I was so excited when I found these lights! They work perfectly.
Hannah, will you do an updated Makeup Collection (Organization) plus the Purgatory Box?
would love a house tour; your house is beautifulllllll
Thanks, Madeleine!
I'm very interested to see how much actually gets used up if I'm not constantly bringing in new products.
yes, filming a before is a great idea, I wish I had done it!
I just put broken powders in empty glass jars from moisturisers, then I just swirl my brush in the jar. Works perfectly fine.
You have a great size collection!
thanks! I still want to do a bit of weeding...we'll see :)
Wait... you only wash your hair once a week? How? I have to wash my hair at least once a day, sometimes twice if I’ve been to the gym and then I’m going out. 🙈
I have a very long hair video coming up that will explain everything!
Hi! New viewer - found you through Hailey Evans. Must be kismet - I have a jade plant named Jada Pinkett Smith! And a snake plant named Ulysses S Plant. Never "met" someone else that named their plants!!!
I love Hailey, I almost passed out when she said my name on her channel! That's hilarious about your plants, Ulysses S Plant, OMG.
Drops what I'm doing and hits play IMMEDIATELY!!
:)
I definitely want to see a hair video!
:)
Ok so i suck at sending links thru youtube but the name of the video is Make It with Kimberly Clark
I think I watched that long ago but didn't retain this drawer info! I'll go back and check.
I'm going to talk about this in the declutter! But yes, I agree, it's very much about what I really want to own.
before decluttering use for a full month to see how you feel about the items.
I've been using all of these products for well over a year! Some of them might need more trial time, but for many of them, I know exactly how I feel and I just need to face the music :)
Cute apartment. We're in Santa Clarita. Still expensive, but more affordable than LA proper. We do own a house though. Everyone thinks we're so far away, but my wife works downtown and it only takes her about 30 min to get to work.
wow, that's quicker than I would have thought! I love being able to walk to work downtown but I don't think I'll want to live in this area forever.
Your videos have given me much to think about, and your soothing voice is a great escape from the “real world.”
there are tutorials here on youtube on how to "fix" this malm table's drawer, so that it opens all the way out :)
I heard you say that you are searching for good mineral sunscreen and I wanted to let you know of 3 highly efficient mineral sunscreen in $10 to $35 price range .... Australian gold ($10), Cotz ($20 @ ulta) and Make prem ($35?) 😊❤️
thank you for the recs!
Thanks for sharing.
thanks for watching, Doris! xo!
Also, do you have a PO box where we could send you something? 💗
Your hair is fascinating
lol, best compliment ever :)
It looks like you have enough space in the bronzer to just repress the bits that are loose. Should make it easier to use!
True! Maybe I'll be brave and try it one of these days. I've also considered tapping the crumbs into a jar and using them like a loose powder.
You could seriously double as Jennifer Lawrence. I'm sure you've been told.
I was wondering how you managed to always have new items each month.... then you show your (whittled down) collection... no wonder you wanted to do a no-buy :) you have an entire showroom in your office.
I recommend you to my Polish viewers;) !
aw, thank you so much!
I watched some of your anty-haul, I can't understand anything but you are so lovely! I hope your channel keeps growing!
Would you mind vlogging your konmari process?
I'll try to record some of it!
💜💜💜
do you live in a hot climate, dance and sweat 24/7 and wash your hair once every 2 weeks? it smells bad ... a nightmare.
Video is way too long with too much unnecessary talking for a makeup video. Many ppl watch these videos during the day while at work on breaks and lunches. Keep that in mind next time.
Thanks for watching my video even though it's not the length and style that you prefer! I hope you have a good rest of the week.
There's a 'watch later' button - if you don't have time to finish the video, you can save it to continue later. Great video Hannah!
Sugar Dune LMAO self absorbed much? Her videos. Not yours. UA-cam is very large..I’m sure you can locate something else that suits YOUR NEEDS.
🤦🏼♀️People are unreal.
