I lived in this place. Burned down in the summer of 2012, it was a 1920's failing resort that they tried to convert into a luxery condominium in the 1990's. . It wasn't a bad place and sadly it was neglected by the owners. They didn't want to put in any fire safety splinklers and the fire alarm system was always going off for no reason, they didn't even have any insurance until after the fire occured. I usto eat dinner in 28:32 while someone would talk on the microphone and when i finished i would go swim in one of the indoor pool or outdoor pool depending on the weather. while the place had its issues it also made up for it. Had 2 hot tubs, 2 pools, sana, tennis, boat club, entertainment pool room, a bar, 2 restraunts inside and nice giant lobbys to chill in and a nice lawn as well as the theater or main room. and alot more. my block was on the end wing corner of building A down a long hallway that winded back and fourth a few times. thier was alot of old people to that lived inside which is why theirs alot of vintage stuff. .the fire started in the boiler room and no one really took it seriuse until smoke started pouring out. After the fire they condemned the entire property and only people who were in i and f wings were allowed to get their stuff. after that they erected a fence and gaurded it to keep people out, and the lawsuits started flying. the guy at 25:11 him and his band usto play in the main theater room on occasions. cool nostalgic trip, sad.
Angelic Snow Thank you for the history. Very sad. I hope you and yours were well compensated. Good luck, Angelica
Thanks for the history.
Angelic Snow was you able to get your personal items? If RNK got in then others should be able to also.
Carmen Chilson - yea but by now they already have new things and moved on. They probably have no interest. If it were me though I would want to go back for the pictures.
Where is this place at by the way?
If I'd lived there, I would have definitely snuck back in to get my family photos.
Gillian Gill me too, come night time I would off made it my mission
Me to no freaking way to keep me out !
The pictures can be saved. Scan them and make a Facebook page about this place with the pictures left behind.
Yes samething I was thinking and said they should’ve been allowed to get what wasn’t damage pictures are valuable and loveing❤️❤️❤️
Yeah same
As a previous owner of this grandview palace apt in this condo it is so sad they did not allow us to get our stuff in our room which is still their on B building standing, i have seen a lot of my personal items on ebay on sale throughout the years, insurance is not paying yet no updates, and a scam of a board. Thank you very much for posting this video i actually see my room and some some stil lthere.
Is the place still standing or was it torn down?
some buildings like this one is still standing but they wont let unit owners enter
israeliboytoy the building resort 1920 converted into an apartment later years, any building built before 1980 had ASBESTOS in ceiling. It's very hazardous
just want my stuff back, and ready to sign a paper that its on me if anything happens...
insurance robbed 400 units
It's so interesting to see the personalities and lifestyles of people reflecting in the decor of each apartment.
That’s why we like to go into these places young lady.
I hope someone that lived there sees this video and shares some information about why they left all their personal effects behind. Many many unanswered questions here. Great video!!
They weren't allowed back in.
Sadly this is very common with a place affected by fire. They have to let it rot away. They can't go back in and get their stuff because the building is unstable. If people enter it, they are at risk of getting hurt or the building collapsing on top of them. Most of the time these buildings are demolished after fire with all the stuff still in it. It's not often that they decide to let it fall on its own, but I guess they felt it was safer in this situation because it doesn't seem like too much is around this building to make it worth the money and time to have a controlled demolition.
sunlightangel87 I am not seeing fire damage
RnK says in the description that there was a fire here and that's why it was abandoned.
23:37 fire damage.
Yeah screw that. I'm getting my stuff. It would take an army to stop me.
This was so depressing to see. It drained the energy out of me just seeing all of those people's personal possessions just laying there all out in the open and not taken along with the original owner. I'd be saying F* them to whoever wants to try to stop me to go in and retrieve what's salvageable. So many poor people could use those appliances that are just there. A good bucket of bleach water and sunshine could clean up the non-porous items.
Remember, gubbernint is incredibly wasteful, especially the Federal Govt or if you live in a blue state.
Yeah me too
I live about 3 miles away from this hotel and when it caught on fire it was crazy. Every near by town firefighters were there, about 8 different towns. I had friends that lived there and had no choice but to leave everything behind. It's sad. Because it had everything and was very big and beautiful inside before it burned down. I think it was called The Grand View. It had blue lights (2 of them) on top of a Tower. And they were town house's and not apartments. About $150,000 (and up, the more money the bigger the town house) just for a small room and all what the Grand View gives....a gym, pool, theater, restaurant, and so much more. Yeah it was something but now it's just sad.
What city and state is this in?
Yeah but why not sneak back and reclaim your photos at least
I spent my childhood and teenage years here. It's kind of heart breaking to see what happened to it from the inside. Memories literally burnt to the ground.
It recently caught fire again. I personally believe that it was arson both times it was set ablaze. The board wouldn't fix anything and bring the building up to code so they decided to "cash out" with insurance fraud via fire. The insurance company never paid out anyone, including my family, because the building was so poorly maintained. We lost everything we had invested into this place. Everyone lost everything.
Rabbi Coomershekel McPornstien how is that funny?
and then gubbernint, via the courts, with the help of LEOs, Insurance Co, screwed you all over. This is why I vote MAGA, with the hopes that one day WE THE PEOPLE, can take our country back from Corporations, Billionaires, GLobalists, and yes even Insurance Companies
@@dezznutz3743 Yeah. You fuckers are doing a bang up job of it, ya numpty.
where was this place?
Wow so many things left behind. Maybe this video will inspire some To go back and retrieve some of their memories.
nashalie Santana : What a sweet comment!
💜💘💜
right? i was thinking the same. it's upsetting to see this.
Grandview Palace. Fire, no deaths. Lawsuit with insurance companies still ongoing, set to go to trial in 2018. The condo board maintains a very detailed website with updates. Based on my reading, condo owners have received nothing so far. They just recently voted not to rebuild, and to find a buyer. However, the cost of cleanup is $4 million and the land is valued at $900K, so I do not see why anyone would buy it. Likely to stay abandoned. Why did residents not go back in? Building is condemned, but my guess is they don't want to jeopardize the lawsuit, which is their only hope of being compensated.
Not now, with the mold infestation the mold spored could spread through a clean home, this stuff is unusable now. Mold is insidious in this regards.
Its a shame though.
I didn't know that about mold :O
This is actually one of the saddest Urbex videos I've seen. So many families affected.
What's even more sad, there are a large number of abandoned homes and there are large number of homeless people. The family photos and children's toys were very disturbing to see.
Ty Richards yeah
Rex where are the developers? Putting Vets in these as well as Homeless families
This would cost way more to rehab safely and up to code than to construct new buildings
thanks to government they keep rising taxes
So much beautiful stuff left behind going to waste. What a bummer.
Michele Evangelista how are ya doin... Thanx for the post .... Daniel ortiz
Michele Evangelista ..wow your beautiful.....
Michele Evangelista 8
If that was my place I would have eventually gone back to get rest of my stuff. I'm surprised so many things people leave behind especially family photos.
HKH HKH Yes, it’s sad, but there’s probably too much damage done to the belongings, such as mold and bacteria. Honestly, you wouldn,t want to bring any of that into a new home.
I agree with yr wife, if i lived in that building and my stuff was in there i'm gettin it! It just looks like these people just up and walked out. If i knew my things were ok it's coming home with me, geez that NEW mattress and that cool furniture with the carved wood!
Your profile pic...hahahaha!
I helped a friend crawl in through an open window and retrieve her stuff off her third floor apt in SF after the big quake. The third floor ended up in the middle of the street. We backed up a truck and six of us just emptied the apt of all the stuff - even some of the smaller furniture. Yes it was a studio apt and she hardly had any stuff - but it was hers!
I think they all were killed in a plane crash, and the fire happened later
Simply look at names left behind in the units I bet the answer is out there someware . I chartered plane killed a prominently Italian family here in Alabama, after that all their family business went out of business.
Cool you and your friend got her stuff back. Sad to see memories go. I certainly would do my best to retrieve my stuff
So sad to see all those family photos left behind....great videos, you guys! Thanks!
Why wouldn't people go back to get personal items like photos and family heirlooms? I understand that they were reimbursed for property loss, but those items are irreplaceable.
Heru- deshet Death?
+Heru- deshet That's what I was thinking. I mean, how can someone be reimberst for that?
what happened to all these people why did they have to leave so suddenly that they had to leave there belongings.
I don't care how much money I was reimbursed--I would not leave my pictures and precious family momentous.
I would love to know the story on this building.
Rebecca Kleitz exactly, I don’t get that one at all
@@EmeraldWilsonBey According to someone in another post, claimed they used to live here, and it burned in 2012. Idk all the details but supposedly everyone was evacuated off property and then banned. Says it was condemned, then fence erected, and guards placed to keep everyone out. Whether it's true, don't know.
Even if they were to go back now they wouldn't be able to take anything now because of the black mold
Im saddened by how Americans have turned into lazy, weak, scared, sheeple. Id be going back everyday till I got my sh*t out.
Exactly worth a thousand words
all I can say is ... my heart goes out to all the folks who were affected by the fire... hope you all got taken care of one way or another......
They werent...read the replies, they were screwed over by Big Gubbernint and Insurance Co's
The pictures can't ever be replaced or original paintings and sketching. I can't imagine not going back to try and get them.
Some of that furniture is beautiful!
baragermyrna579 I would have gone back and gotten the faded white Queen ann dinning set and the nice fancy sofa!
That's what so sad about this- all the personal photos, especially the framed ones still hanging on the walls.
A couple of those condos had some beautiful furniture.
You stood in a place of great history & probably weren't even aware! Back when this was a resort - Jerry Lee Lewis got his start in that very theater you were standing in and performed there many times. So many that it was named after him! So you were actually standing on the stage where Jerry Lee Lewis performed & kick started his career. The chandelier is the same, the set up the same - it's the same way it was then, except for the decay of it all. In all it's glamor, it really was gorgeous. That stage and chandelier have seen many a famous people when it was a popular resort. You were standing in the same spot as all of them. So sad to see what's become of it and now how much it has changed over time. Really wish we would start doing more to preserve places like these and not be so quick to either tear them down to build new or letting them fall apart. Someone really should save that chandelier, it was in pretty good shape - just some stands that would need restrung. But that's a piece of history right there and one that can be saved even though the rest of that historical theater and stage cannot and will crumble with time or be torn down completely. I really hope someone does something about that chandelier. I wonder if ppl even know the history of that theater? So sad.
That was Jerry Lewis.
Twinkle Toes Is it in New York? I would love to read about its history.
@Ali F. guess it's just good Urbex tadition not to tell where the place is, but with some info provided here in the comments you just need to google a bit. Well, I found it!
You are right about that chandelier, I thought the same when I saw it.
Wow I found it by googling some of the words you used and boiler explosion....that was a hell of a place to be for many many years. Really famous people played and stayed here! Shame it all went wrong after her husband died and it was having financial issues. What a waste.
The latest date I saw in the entire video was 2011. It's amazing how much decay there is in just six years.
Loved seeing the different vibes in each apartment
Love your videos. The camerawork is fantastic, and the music isn't annoying. The instances when you talk, when the camera is still, and when it pans is perfect.
Rob does all that free hand believe it or not.
Hes come a long way and I learned alot watching his videos.
I worked at the Landfill for 7 of the almost 30 years I worked for one of the 10 largest Cities in the USA. It took some getting use to seeing all the stuff that gets thrown away.
Literally everything that people say they cherish of sentimental value. Photos, scrap books, regular books entire truck loads of clothing by some of the MAJOR charitable agencies. When I asked why they don't just give the clothing away, the guy driving the truck said he'd like to but that was their policy: if they can't sell what was donated to them they toss it out. Really sucks. I went to one of their thrift shops and the stuff they threw away was better than what was at their store.
Thanks for videoing your adventures and sharing them with me. I don't get out as much as I use to so its cool to see where you go. I have watched a lot of videos and you guys are pros. Keep up the good work and keep wearing the canister respirators. They could save your lives.
That's really interesting. I guess all the more reason to 'detach' from material possessions and all that new age sounding shit, lol. But yeah, clothing should be given away when it's needed by homeless regardless of corporate bylaws.
SAKIBEAR ye
You're not kidding. As a kid in the 70's going to the local dump was the coolest thing. My friends and I would find things most folks would never believe someone would throw away. Occasionally we'd find a big pile of trash bags that we'd come to call, '''goody bags'' as they'd be full of what appeared to be all the belongings of someone who had passed away and their stuff was just bagged and tossed. Nothing broken at all, from jewelry to small tools, most often antique. It wasn't without risk of course, the laws about Hospital Waste weren't strict like today. It was a blast, we always walked there but never left without bikes to get us home. I learned more there than in any Science Class, Cheers!!!
ok ils laissent les meubles et les vêtements à cause des assurances. Mais les photos...pourquoi ils abandonnent les photos ??,
I only have one material item in my life, and it's my $2600 gaming rig/game development computer. It's the only thing I care about in this world.
Once the danger of fire has completely passed and it is deemed to be structurally sound what sane organization would not let tenants go back in after their stuff and even pets even if the tenants had to assume the risk and waive all help?
GUBBERNINT. Insurance Corporations. They BOTH work hand in hand to screw us all over and line their pockets while increasing their power.
Being a quadriplegic. I love these videos, not being able to get out. Do it myself. Thanks for sharing
So sad, sometimes we see what some people go through, and we should feel blessed, that we have so much to be thankful for.
Can you imagine being a former tenant and coming across this video and seeing your belongings? Sad. :(
yes I can and if the insurance company wanted to the could lay charges against the couple who filmed the video and then posting it on here but as we all know, that wont happen due to the fact that this world we live in is only out for one thing , to take what you can and dont get caught.
Michael B Smith - WTF are you talking about? RnK All Day are urban explorers (aka- URBEX). They're not vandals, thieves or tweakers who go into places to steal or smash stuff just for the hell of it. Sure, technically they're trespassing, but they are, for the most part, respectful of the contents and surroundings. Get a clue, already!
Michael B Smith true urban explorers never take from sites they film at.
This is so sad.
Theyre probably dead by now :(
Plz try n fine the Soldiers family so they can have his picture
This was one of the better exploration videos of abandoned buildings! One could get melancholy looking at the items, family photos, etc. and could re imagine what took place and how they left each apartment. Looked like a Senior Citizen place? Each one had their own uniqueness. Thanks for this great video and exploration!
This is just wrong! How dare they not allow the people back in to take their own things! If it were a safety issue then the fire dept. will escort the families back inside and stay with them while they gather their things. I'd climb up the side of the building if I had to. There is just no way I could leave my families pictures behind. Very sad.
Sallie Giocondo I agree and I also would have got back in one way or other I think what happened was the insurance paid these people off for the value of everything left I'm shocked lotters have not got in there there's stuff worth money I'm telling you there's stuff worth cash
Sallie Giocondo They probably took only what they can carry by hand ATM? Like the Japanese families after Pearl Harbor was bombed, many Japanese families were forced out of their home and they could only take as much as what their two hands can carry.
Sallie Giocondo ya, no doubt... My ass would have been back in there, as soooon as No One was around, I'd have been grabbing some friends, and collected all my pics anyway... Maybe not the rest, depending on how damaged... But for sure if that apartment with the antique settee was mine, let's just say, it wouldn't have been seen in THIS video! Lol! The bldg itself doesn't look like the inside was all that old.... I'm also surprised to see all the woman's shoes left behind... U KNOW they had to have been rushed out if that many woman left their entire shoes collection behind! 😉 I also can't help but wonder, what it looked like BEFORE other people got in there and rummaged or pilfered stuff...
Same! No one would stop me from going back and getting my own stuff, my memories, family heirlooms back. Even if I had to sneak in. My stuff. My right. Screw them.
Sallie Giocondo Yeah, I agree with you! I so would have taken the nice looking furniture! Certainly looks nicer than today's contemporary/modern style (Plain style)!
this one was sad, and something very off about it
Hi Greg :)
hey
I bet those people in the Jewish room thought the S.S. was coming when the place was on fire.
Print is too small and faded to read
Something really is off about this. There is no way people just up and left their belongings. I know of buildings and houses being destroyed all the time and the tenants or owners always go back and get their personal belongings and many of these apartments are just abandoned not damaged. This is bizarre.
The family photos really get me. Most, if not all the tenants were seniors, the rooms full of really nice furniture/decor. That all came from their homes, when they downsized to these condos.
Some of these units are better than where I live currently.
That was no doubt a really nice complex and apartments in it's day, and that theater and the pool, wow !. Yep as others said, insurance reimbursement or not, I would have found a way to get back there and at least get my pictures and personal items, no amount of insurance can replace memories from pictures, etc. Great explore, thanks for sharing with us !.
I don't live too far from this place (Don't worry, I'm not gonna name drop lol)... Those condos were in much better shape a couple years ago. I haven't been back in a while, but I'm very happy to see that the ballroom isn' t covered in graffiti.
Do you know what took place and why everything was left behind??
Seven Feathers they felt that the building was not structurally sound for the owners to go back in. This used to be a resort which turned into condos by combining hotel rooms or just using one hotel room for a condo.
+Seven Feathers
Basically what Marcia said. There was a huge fire, and after it was put out the residents weren't allowed back in to get their stuff because the building was pretty much condemned. I've walked through all of the remaining buildings several times tho and they are stable, but the property owner could potentially get hit with a lawsuit if anybody hurts themselves on the property.
Thanks for the insights. It is sad that people can't retrieve things that are aren't replaceable ( family photos etc) A LOT of REALLY nice things left behind still in VERY nice shape. ALWAYS a shame there are those that go and Vandalize and post graffiti and steal.. Thanks for NOT mentioning the location. This was definitely an upscale place. I wonder how the fire started ?
+gymnrat Lives
The property owner could probably haul everything out of the condos, and let people pick up their personal items... That's the only way I could see it working out.
Yeah, I know how this exploring thing goes. I'm actually very active in the community on Instagram, but I'm anonymous on my UA-cam account because I don't like getting involved in the drama lol ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
So very sad to see the memories on the walls, stands, tables, and flloors. It breaks my heart that the people lost everything. Great presentation. Thank you for your diligence and love of exploring!!
This is a good example of why you should have renter's insurance if you live in an apartment. It's cheap, and definitely pays off if this kind of thing happens. An apartment complex near me recently had a fire in one of the buildings. The ones without insurance lost everything, and the ones with insurance had their things replaced.
That's sad to see. And the way people go in and destroy. I wonder why one would not demand to at least get photos out. Some of the furniture look amazing. Heart breaking to watch.
Yep. I definitely got it added to my car insurance premium.
Yeah especially since landlords make you sign away your rights to recover on a lease. Many times Renters insurance is equal to the multi discount on your auto insurance. It’s almost a wash but it’s like pulling teeth to get people to sign up for one. There is no real commission on a $150 per year renters policy so not trying to make money off it either.
Yes, they probably got reimbursed, but what about their personal belongings, pictures, etc...
One word.... Mold.
But you can clean mold off and if there is any real chance they should take it.
RELAX
I WOULD HAVE WENT BACK AND GOT MY STUFF!, GREAT VIDEO!
JR's Time me tooo
The Raccoon doesnt sit well with me - in an emergency youd expect people bring their pets to safety first.Thats the least you can do :-(((
he may have hid and they couldn't find him
I am so sad after seeing that
....
If I had a pet & the building that I was living in was still standing, they would not have kept me out. I would raise hell. I would bring news cameras and make a loud fuss! I would get in that building and try to save my pet. That is wrong.
The owners probably were not even home and not allowed in
This dude is making money trespassing he’s as bad as in insoluta company that by force kept people from getting their things and pets
Report him for criminal trespassing and to UA-cam like me
This is probably one of the best urban exploring videos I've ever seen. Truly a work of art. Great job!
Wow, as if it was a zombie apocalypse. All they fled and left everything behind. Incredible video!
Old laserjet 4 at 7:00 turn that on and it will still print, no joke, they can sit there for years and still work, but the toner would be stuffed, just replace that and rollers and it be working good as gold.
I can't believe how pristine some of the couches and stuffed animals are - no dirt or dust. Amazing - thanks guys. Another winner ! ! !
Crazy seeing this! Such a special story.
AWESOME filming!! Another great one guys!
Amazing to see how many different people been living there and they all live next door to each other. Really great video.
How the hell do you leave a pet behind ??
Ted Bundy : ikr you can't forget pets no matter what happens to them or you pets are everyone's companions
or some really retarted people lol but still i would have snuck in there to see if my pet was alive.
I think that the pet died because of the fire/smoke...maybe...and this is why they left him behind...Hope that he was not alive anymore at this time, when they leave it. If he was, then it´s so sad...:/ :(
Just unbelievable like everyone disappeared except for the raccoon!!
Why, why, why???
Not a rat. Tail bones all wrong and too big, over all head shape is wrong. I agree it is most likely the pet raccoon or a cat due to the tail bones and size of the animal.
Wow pics and everything. Theres something very nostalgic about abandoned places w 'life' left behind. I like it. The good and the bad. Life extending 😏✌🏻
This is literally the best urbex I have ever seen. I watched this a few months back and thought back to it. What an amazing find, kudos!
Victoria
Victoria l Hello can you please tell me where is this at? Thanks
i really hope some of the families who these apartments belonged to see this and go back to get those photos! so sad to see them left behind
No excuse in the world to leave a pet behind. Just Stupid and Evil..
They might not have been home when the fire happened, and they weren't allowed back in after either. So they probably didn't WANT to leave them behind but had no choice.
I'm going to put your fears at rest. No one keeps a raccoon as a pet. I live in the country and take my word for it , adult raccoons are mean, mean ,mean. That skeleton was most likely some scavenging animal. Also nice apt complex buildings like that have a no pet policy in general, and I'm sure it would be a big "NO" to the question "Can we have a raccoon in the apt?"
Angela Harris not true my father and uncle had a male racoon as a pet. From what my grandmother told me he was like a dog and very loyal to the boys. When he was older he jumped out the window of the car and drug 30 feet before they got stopped they had to put him down because the pads on his back paws where destroyed. Not joking either my grandmother was a great truthful lady.
Wrong
418laylah
Perhaps the tenants weren't home when fire broke out. None of these people would leave photos or pets behind. They were forced out.
Ugh...seeing all those apartments full of people's belongings, knowing they were forbidden from retrieving them just makes me heartsick. I hope no one was hurt during the fire!! 13:35 was a gorgeous room! Loving the wallpaper and the almost Victorian look to the bed and furnishings!
Those 90s chairs should come back in style!!! I would buy them in a heartbeat!! 😍😍😍
Why would anybody leave an Englebert Humperdink CD behind?
Ad Mirer haha
Why would anyone have one in the first place ;)
He was a musical genius!
Well, you can't argue taste, so I won't ;)
he was awesome
How sad, I hope no one lost their life in the fire.
By far my favorite abandoned video of all the abandoned videos on you tube. Amazing how we as a society can just leave all that we worked so hard for behind. The gold and white apartment 😱😢 I mean she did such a good job decorating only to have to leave it.
Best exploration channel ever. Editing, comments, personalities. Well done!
Should have let people go back and salvage what they could under supervision for safety reasons. What a waste.
I think this must be the best explore I have seen. So much stuff . it's like the people just left their whole lives behind. I can never understand why so much stuff gets left behind, especially the personal things like photos that can't be replaced. Great video. ive subscribed 👍
One of the best urban explorer videos I have watched, thank you for sharing it. Very interesting indeed to see how each apartment speaks volume of the people that lived there.
AWESOME Video guys. . . You really take the time to look everywhere and let "us" see what you see. . . . Thanks for taking us with you . . . Can't wait for more !
I don't get not letting them go back and retrieve what they can. even flood victims are allowed to and their homes aren't safe after. Something don't seem right with what they told those people. maybe some will see this and contact you.
Angel
Maybe the "city" employees are ripping off some free jewelry. Unless there's major contamination. Feels like a cover up
It's the stuff that bad dreams are made of. The buildings surrounding it were burned down.
I like your videos..you don't move the camera around to fast so we feel like we are looking through it with you. Good job guys!!
What a great find!
I love the sad music, it really sets the atmosphere.
This apartment building had a massive fire.......this vid makes me real sad but it's fascinating at the same time...these guys are good at what they do and are the best at presenting abandoned properties...They do it in a respectful and atmospheric way.....Subscribed! x
thats a dumpster divers dream right there
Someone needs to retrieve the expensive furniture. I know I'd be hard-pressed to purchase furnisher like this
Kathy Newman you would have to spend so much money getting it professionally cleaned because of toxic mold spores that in trap everything it's not even worth it there's toxic mold everywhere in that building and nothing is worth salvaging because of the spores that are in everything you wouldn't want to bring something that has toxic mold into your home because it can make you very sick trust me I know
This is so saddened that the family had to leave all of theirs personal belongings. Thanks you guys for a sharing your videos with us. Awesome job guys.
This is a gem in a cool yet sad way!! This video is awesome and I hope some of the people that lived there get to see this!
14:56 THAT IS the raccoon that was featured in that family's picture on the wall. From the fur patch left on its hind area, you can plainly see the dark brown and black coloration of the fur which would NEVER be able to belong to an opossum. There is a possibility that it is a cat, but I would strongly agree with you, that based on the family photos on the wall, of the raccoon, that it is the poor little guy who was left behind to try and fend for itself.
We Are Everywhere :'( poor bb
I don't understand if it was a fire there's some apartments that are completely untouched and what about jewelry and stuff like that that could be in these Apts wow why wouldn't they let them come back and get there personal stuff you can clean smoke damage from pictures and jewelry it's super sad
Dawn Posner The whole phone off the hook in every video annoys me.
HED420 - me too. I don't get it.
No one leaves their precious family pictures behind !
Yeah!
Well they did.
They did.
Nádherné, dojemné, provázené s citem, příjemné záběry. Děkuji za krásný zážitek Ludmila
the murphy bed apt was probably the model unit
How sad at 2:45 there's a urn.. They couldn't go back for them... So sad
Jessica Darlin dont forget the racoon.... 🤔
Jessica Darlin I didn't realize that before.. That's so upsetting
RnK All Day, I have had wonder lust my whole life. I am too old now to go adventuring. Thank you both for making it possible to continue this adventure from my recliner...:)
Very sad that belongings are left behind, I work too hard for mine, seems like personal items would definitely be worth taken, if not then, I'd definitely try later..pictures are what's left of my parents except memories.
Thanks guys for sharing this with us.
Stay safe.
Wow that apartment building is awesome great find!
If this was due to a fire, I wonder why people didn't go back to get their things. You are obviously safe being there. It looks like someone, obviously, ransacked the place
Kathy Newman it was looted by guards who were supposed to watch over the place.
Hanging the phone up , cracks me up every time . Funniest thing that any explorer does !!
Oh my! Such beautiful furniture.
That Antique Victorian Cast Iron patio set is worth around $1200- $1600 depending on the maker. That would have qent home with me for sure!
Some of em really nice I would love living there. Seems they used to b a nice apts back in those days. Why 😢. RIP the racoon it made me rly sad poor racoon :'( I could not leave behind my cat. How the hell a telephone still gots line ?
ND some ppl own creepy stuff
Why the explorers were allowed to enter nd the owners didn't. By that time the owners could have returned nd get their stuff why they don't do it.
This place will be way more disturbing yet captivating in the next few yrs.
Greattt video guyss !!!!
This was my first time watching you guys but I think you did a great job. I really liked seeing the places you explored. I was moved seeing the Marine's photo on the couch of one of the apartments, along with all the kid's things, photos and other stuff I don't understand being left behind. I mean, WEDDING PHOTOS?! You did a fantastic job, no silly yammering and no crappy filming. Thank you for your exploration and the awesome choice of sites.
That is crazy to leave things behind. It's one thing for furniture, but to leave pictures and heirlooms behind is crazy. Great video by the way.
the racoon wrecked this for me 😢
So sad a family had to leave their pet raccoon!
sandra bassett same.... 😭
Same here. It's giving me anxiety thinking about it.
You gotta investigate and try get in contact with some of the old owners just to know what happend.
I lived in this place. Burned down in the summer of 2012, it was a
1920's failing resort that they tried to convert into a luxery
condominium in the 1990's. . It wasn't a bad place and sadly it was
neglected by the owners. They didn't want to put in any fire safety
splinklers and the fire alarm system was always going off for no reason,
they didn't even have any insurance until after the fire occured. I
usto eat dinner in 28:32
while someone would talk on the microphone and when i finished i would
go swim in one of the indoor pool or outdoor pool depending on the
weather. while the place had its issues it also made up for it. Had 2
hot tubs, 2 pools, sana, tennis, boat club, entertainment pool room, a
bar, 2 restraunts inside and nice giant lobbys to chill in and a nice
lawn as well as the theater or main room. and alot more. my block was
on the end wing corner of building A down a long hallway that winded
back and fourth a few times. thier was alot of old people to that lived
inside which is why theirs alot of vintage stuff. .the fire started in
the boiler room and no one really took it seriuse until smoke started
pouring out. After the fire they condemned the entire property and only
people who were in i and f wings were allowed to get their stuff. after
that they erected a fence and gaurded it to keep people out, and the
lawsuits started flying. the guy at 25:11 him and his band usto play in the main theater room on occasions. cool nostalgic trip, sad.
Excellent video filming.....smooth, professional....thank you! Makes for a great viewing experience!
This has to be the best place I've seen you explore so far. The property looks like a post-apocalypse war one. As if a bomb went off destroying most of the complex. It has such a sombre feeling to it... sad and lonely, abandoned and unwanted by life. Just slowly rotting away... taking peoples memories with it. It would make a great place to shoot a movie about after the Apocalypse and survivors are passing through... it almost feels like monsters might jump out of some of those rooms. hahaha :D
After I watched this video which was like a year ago I did a little research on it. I do a research on just about all of your videos just to see where they're at what's up with them Etc. Very interesting video I enjoyed it immensely!
I’ve just started watching your videos. You guys seem genuinely interested in not affecting the surroundings you explore. This explore was the saddest and best that I’ve seen of yours thus far. So many memories lost, so much sadness. Hats off to you both. Stay safe!
What a cute apartment that 1st apt, with iron rod & White &a gold stem ware. So sad they lost everything. Wishing well to them! ❤️
Can't believe that there left so much personal stuff behind. Pictures and so on. Thanks for sharing your video 😉
Did some research and found out this place burnt down April 14th 2012. Just an FYI. Explains the new-looking Class of 2011 teddy in there.
where is this place located?

Dirty Dancing? SRSLY
Why is it frustrating? I think it's good because it keeps more people out...
Color Cloudie if it was burnt down in 2012 explain the old TVs!
What happened too every body its like time stoped and froze family possesions left behind its like they forgot it and left.
So many memories left behind!! I would have snuck back to get my pictures and all that!
So many memories lost. Sad and cool at the same time. And the phone lines are still on?
good god those poor people. bet your ass I would have gone back to get my things especially pictures
Amanda Rhindress I was living there I went back to get my things I could fit in my bags my most valuable things like my pics my Rolex gold Jewelry and Clothing but left everything else it was depressing I lived there for 5 years in the red wall apartment seeing it on video made me cry I left it vary neat and someone Destroyed it
you guys go to the ABSOLUTE coolest spot. i'm really enjoying your videos. thanks for sharing!
A Fire!!! Very Nice Furniture etc. Left Behind Wow!
my sister used to work for a big Insurance Company she said they leave it behind because the insurance pays the people off and the property then belongs to the insurance company and rather than pay someone to haul it all off they just let it sit there and rot and for whoever wants to buy the property in the future they have to haul it off
Coleen Taylor Wow that is sad! They've created a MESS if you asked me!
Coleen Taylor that's what the insurance company wants u to believe
