    I've always wondered how these buildings remain empty with all the stuff inside. If it's been abandoned for a long time, either the government owns it or there is somebody somewhere that is paying the yearly property taxes but couldn't be bothered to do anything with the property.
    As much as I find these videos entertaining of showing off these supposed abandoned building, would love to have some videographers do more research into the past owners, that would make these types of videos complete.

    What a real shame... that was a beautiful house... now it's filled with black mold and old memories that only the homeowners and their guest could share...

    That paneling ,when it’s done like that, is classic. Stands the test of time. Beautiful. I’d never remove that.

    RNK I used to be a receptionist for land company. Go to real property in the county seat or city wherever this is. Get the address and they can look up the information on the property for you. Way to go RNK. I love how you respect the property and others don't.

      I think its alright to see these buildings as long as we don't know who owns it.

    • @CatherineYarton
      @CatherineYarton 6 років тому

      Of course we know your not going to tell us who owns them. Not unless you have the legal ok to do so. God Bless. Keep up the great work.

      Catherine Yarton love these tours...but my problem is ...I want to know all the answers..where ?why?what happened?legal battle?meanwhile this place is molding away and disrespected when it could be sooo delightful...of course it would now be a tear down on the east coast(owned a property on LBI in NJ) this must be in that Ny/NJ area because of the Stengl pottery in the kitchen and on the tables(made in Flemington NJ in the 1950's etc) Also very lovely Chippendale game table and chairs ....custom bedspreads etc. This is old school 1950-1970's seashore decor!!!! A real find!!!! And boy would I love to be there to trek through !!!!!

      Captain Genius cap I also would love the answer to that. Any older and larger than average home required much upkeep. It takes a lot of money to maintain one of these, not counting the time to find the right contractor to do the job.

    That house is unreal, I'm from Ireland and you would never find anything like that sitting empty. It's great I love your videos and the way you appreciate well made nice old stuff that's in some of these places. Take care you too, can't wait for the next video.

    There's other's trying to break their way in, and don't succeed, while Kristy, and Robb watch them from the inside! What interesting place, full of all sorts of treasure's. It's in such a beautiful setting, the land will probably be sold, and this house bulldozed (with everything still inside) to make room for a new house. Another great video, thank's for taking me along! 🎈

      If it truly is abandoned and owned by no one, how can it get sold? Who gets the money? Exactly, the county owns it which makes what these two are doing illegal. They are breaking into it and trespassing. Not cool.

      If it is black mold it can kill you. I am a realtor and I take these kind of classes to protect my clients. If it is truly black mold, which it does look like it, I know of several incidents where the owners of homes go to clean this up without masks and they got that mold in their lungs when they disturbed it and died from it.

    I read a story that a woman posted somewhere online about her family needing to quickly leave their home because she learned about toxic black mold from a friend who called her to tell her about it. They hadn't been living in the house for very long and had been experiencing various symptoms from the mold. The family went to some specialized medical center and received treatment and never returned to their home out of fear because their condition was so poor... I specifically remember the woman sharing something about mold on the book shelves. (Because I was like wtf mold on bookshelves?!) This house seems like it could have been the one that those people lived in. You should be more careful when going into places that are abandoned. Also, those other people definitely looked like they were trying to break in for whatever reason.

    This is an exquisite find! It is SO rare to find a place like this, in such amazing untouched condition! Some of those items are in very nice condition and, as antiques, are probably worth a lot of money. That dining room set, the china... really nice. And I am in love with the chair at 7:50. I'd love to refinish those.
    I always wonder what goes on in someone's life to completely abandon a place like that. A home obviously well lived in, well loved and tended to. To up and never return... what causes something like that? So fascinating.

    Homes that have black mold are dangerous, so many of the inhabitants are told to leave everything so you don't take any of the mold with you to the new home. People have died from the black mold, gloves and masks are a good thing to use at all times. It is a shame they haven't found a way to get rid of the mold problem. Many homes with mold are left just like this. TY for the video, B safe, Blessings

      Well, the way those other people were trying to gain access, [breaking] I don't know if it will last too long. It's in okay shape now, but after they break the windows, it's finished. Sad. Such a nice place. I'm imagining the graffiti and beer cans. yikes.
      As to causes, let's just imagine the owners went somewhere even nicer.

It seems like someone was just hanging out at home and had to leave quickly , unable to return Wish we knew the story behind this house. I'm so nosy that it irritates me when explorers don't look up any history about these houses. I realize names and addresses wouldn't be appropriate but a little history would be nice:-)

    That was cool. Me and hubby own an old beach house in the Jersey Shore town of Keansburg, NJ. Ours was abandoned for a year because they were raising our house because of Hurricane Sandy. Our house was built in 1931. And its a Sears and Robuck house.Sears sold houses back then. You bought the house and then they came and built it for you.

    Great find and cool video. One thing I noticed was, there was no personal pictures or anything on the walls/tables. I think this was a place that was used to rent out, the beddings look a lot like it too. There maybe been a owner who had clothes there, to save traveling with it, else most things was plain, furniture and such as you would see in a house that is used for rent. Hence the note in bathroom too, if it was only one family, they didn't need to be reminded of the leak :)

      I don’t think it was an actual rental. They probably let friends and family use it though. We had a place at the beach and we left ours just like that every time we left. Looks like money got hard , bankruptcies etc and they never went back.

    Have you ever been contacted by family/friends etc that are like “Hey, I know that house!!”? That would be pretty cool. That flat screen tv screams either “respectful squatter” or someone there trying to figure out what to do with the place (years ago). I don’t think that’s part of the actual owners property. It’s way too out of place imo. That’s for all the great ponderings. (BTW...I’m guessing it’s dust free because, obviously, dust is from people. Skin, gross. And it’s by a beach so maybe the air is pretty clean. Any abandoned spots I’ve seen on YT aren’t covered with thick dust layers.)

  • @beautylover8606
    @beautylover8606 6 років тому +2

    Hey guys I love the fact that you are so respectful of these places ❤️ it is strange for sure, looks by the 2 bunk beds and the little cot they had 3 children. Do you think someone was after them? Or they just got an idea to go out somewhere as a family and we’re killed? Yes, you could probably plug the address in online, but if it was foreclosed on back in the 60’s the house would have been changed up by now. There would also be a foreclosed paper somewhere on the front. Can you ask neighbors?? Very curious!

    I have nothing but the utmost respect for you since you respect all the places you explore and would never consider stealing or taking anything...(except for photos!).
    I really hate people that would destroy or break items in a property or worst of all, STEAL items from a property!!..... Thus, ruining the experience for the next explorer to come along!!
    Every exploration tells or has a story attached to the property or place explored!
    As I said... Nothing but respect for the love and respect that you pay to all the places you explore!!!
