Bad diet, bad sense of fashion, procedures at a young age and stress, all take a toll on your appearance. When someone says "work on yourself" they dont always mean appearance. Fix your character flaws, fix your insecurities and stop being in denial and everything else will follow.
I think it's just observational bias. My wife is a 46 year old high school teacher and genuinely look younger than some of her students. I've also seen some of her 3rd year students look like they're 12. We also have 46 year old friends who look like they're in their 60s. You're all fine. Everyone is fine.
My wife went to a university last year to teach as a teacher. They confused her with a student who dressed very formally. She had to take photos with teachers and students because they said that no one would believe that the girl who looked like another student was a 46 year old teacher. When she entered the classroom to teach classes, the students thought that she was a classmate of hers, acting funny, to the point of having to go to another teacher to explain to them that she was really her tutor. When she is with her mother, they believe she is her granddaughter. Fun.
the people from the video clearly are exceptions but the 1st guy might be on to something. I'm milenial and a lot of my guys look barely older than teenagers (me included). Also the apprentices from our office (which are ~15-18) Im like "holy shit this guy has a full beard already". With girls its always hard to tell. We also had those who "fully developed" in their teens back than while others looked like 12. I mean no girl looks like 12 anymore but this could just be the make up.
In general for women clearly the make up is a big factor. Which they put on earlier & more year by year who destroys their skin early. Also the increased smoking (thats often used to keep the weight in check). Plastic surgery is now not only done by super-rich and celebrities but by quite a lot of females (also at a young age already) which kinda gives them the old woman who wants to stay young look . For men im not sure. They always smoked, drank and took drugs - if at all I think the use is actually decreasing slightly because of the gym obsession. But they might get in contact with it earlier (?) Maybe they put steroids and fake dick pills or growth hormones? But honestly i cant imagine that a noticable part is doing that. Tbh I dont really have an explanation there
Well it depends, overdoing fillers definitely does that. The problem is that a lot of people gets addicted to them so they don't know when to stop, but it can genuinely make you look better as long as it's done in moderation.
I'm usually pissed that people think I'm a 13 year old (I'm 21) but now I kinda appreciate that lol. At least I didn't get botox in my 20s and look straight up microwaved.
Literally same. I think social media has screwed the perception of what normal 20 yr olds look like in their early 20's,,, we are closer to our teens than our 30's
Trust me youll be thanking them later. Im like this when i used to be 25 being called highschooler. Now im 35, been working for 14 years as nurse and i can never stop thanking people enough calling me like fresh outta college 😂 i have 22 y/o patients looking older than me esp in midwest, idk if its genetics but i noticed their skin aged so so quick
I have a complicated relationship with my age. When I was 25 a 35-year old guessed my age at 45. I'm 36 now and I never get carded when buying alcohol, haven't for many, many years. Except, if I shave what's left of my hair (I started balding at 20, genetics is a bitch) and style my beard into a goatee without the mustache I suddenly start gettting carded again. The age limit to buy booze in my country is 20.
@@mizeria777I'm 32, 5'2" with a baby face from the midwest and often get mistaken for a teen. My mom gets mistaken for younger than she is too. My grandma also looked young, aged well. It definitely depends on your genes. Plus the whites that are obsessed with tanning ain't gonna age well lol. Me and my mom are natural UV sensitive gingers tho, so we avoid the sun, don't care about tans. Growing up ppl didn't like my pale skin, but embracing it and avoiding the sun is worth my youthful appearance. And a + not getting melanoma. Anytime my mom has ran into someone she went to highschool with that tanned a lot, she's shocked by how much older and leathery they look.
Facial muscles tense up with age. The purpose of neurotoxin injections (Botox) is to relax those muscles by numbing the nerves, thus giving the face a more youthful appearance. At 22, that makes about as much sense as bleaching a polar bear.
Those muscles tense up with stress and cortisol caused by anxiety causes inflammation which makes someone look a lot older. Same with eating lots of extra carbs, that fluffs you up and the minute it gets cut down you start to drop the 'years' when it's just dealing with all that extra fluid puffing features up.
What Botox does is paralyze muscles so that it is harder to form facial expressions that will lead to static wrinkles . It is recommended to do before wrinkles start so that it could prevent them from forming in the first place though 22 may be going overboard .
Hmm, not entirely true. Botox does relax the muscles, but at young ages, it can be done as a preventative measure, to prevent certain facial movements that degrade collagen over time. It's done as a prevention, when done young. And Botox really doesn't age someone. It can look strange, when someone's face doesn't animate proportionately, but really, what's going to cause someone to look old is fillers. She looks like an overfilled housewife in her 40s/50s. I think you could Botox the hell out of a 20 year old, but it wouldn't age them, it would just make their face look frozen.
This UA-cam post generalizes too much. Gen z is everywhere in the world. Doing plastic surgery and tanning is popular in US which results into looking older. But in Africa for example, gen Z ain’t like that at all.
It's Gen Z in America that looks older, I live in Sweden and most people in their late 20's and even early 30's look like they are somewhere in between 18 and 20. Believe it or not America is not the entire world, only 4.23% of humans that live in the US.
I’m 23 and I don’t think I look old. I think it’s the fillers and surgeries making people look older. Everything else comes down to lifestyle: smoking, vaping, drinking, stress, not getting enough sleep, etc.
Cigarettes and sunlight are huge factors. Whenever I see a documentary about Europeans from the countryside during WW2, it seems like they're either a child or over 50 with very little in between
I'm 40. People are SHOCKED when they find out. They think I'm 22-24. I routinely get accused of having a fake id when I buy alcohol. I don't do anything in particular. I eat mostly organic food and intermittently fast. Our generation had a bunch of food documentaries that scared the shit out of us. I started gardening and homesteading after that. I think that stuff really does make a difference.
Whoever said that girl looks like the middle-aged women who get a bunch of procedures done to try and look young is actually spot-on. Why are you getting Botox at 22??
Yep. She's doing something to her face, that only old people do to claw back a shred of what they think "looking younger" looks like. People just assume she's old because she looks like a desperate, older housewife.
In countries like Brazil, getting botox is considered the "hip" thing. So the younger audience fully believes that spending thousands or getting in debt is "the way to be beautiful". Heck some of them, even outright get bullied if they don't have any plastic surgery done on them. So yeah, that kind of attitude influences others. At this point, it's more of a cultural thing.
Right? My first thought was that she was 50 with lots of cosmetic procedures to try and look younger... because damn! She looks like one of those Real Housewives of (insert place here). And they're at least 40+
My sister is 21 and she gets filler and botox. She looks older than me and I'm 31 this year. Plastic surgery or face altering has the opposite effect. Makes young women look like 40+ cougars who are trying too hard.
You know what's REALLY sad? I'm 60....yes, I've got some lines in my face....but I'm kind of horrified to see that I look better than some of these young girls! I've been hit on a few times by guys that are my son's age! That's not a brag....that's sad! And especially those girls who go for cosmetic "enhancements". They never look "better", and it'll really show as they get older. I know life is stressful. I know there's a lot going on. But never forget to take a little time for yourself! It's important to your mental AND physical health! To anyone who reads this.... I wish you much luck and love in your Life Journey. ♥️
Yes it is the plastic surgery and cosmetic procedures that Gen Z are getting. Also the fashion and makeup. They don't realize it makes them look worse. Millennials were not heavily influenced by social media to focus on "looking grown" at a younger age.
this vlogging channel I watch who is a family channel the mom started botox after she hit her 30s.. I believe she is 35 or 36 now. She use to look so young before she got them! now she looks older. Sad how society is..and it shows when you are aging gracefully and looking youthful and society drills into your head to follow the trend of adult womenhood.
To be fair, part of the reason for this is BECAUSE millennials look younger. If 40 looks 20, then 20 looks 40 because they look the same. Make sense? It's like, if an M looks like an upside down W, then it's also true that a W looks like an upside down M.
Dude, Bill Burr might have to do a follow-up to his ''plastic surgery'' bit. But for people, who are twice as sad and HALF the age of the ones he actually talked about. Whole thing reminds me of that stand-up. ''THAT'S what you wanna look like? Like you just lost a fight three days ago?'' 😆
No, she does not look 50 she looks like 60 maybe in your family, but her genetics aren’t cutting it for her Edit no wonder she looks like crud. Why is she putting fillers in when she’s so young that’s what she wants but at least know the consequences
@@rblxplaysmochax6808 It’s really sad that our young girls are being corrupted and influenced by women who don’t want the best for them. I’ll pray for you.
I'm 38, people consistently tell me I look like I'm in my early to mid 20's. It's because I don't wear makeup, I don't use skincare products except soap and water & I don't tan relentlessly, I don't each garbage, I cut back drinking from nightly to the occasional weekend, and I have the mindset that I'm still young, so I don't care what other people think. Someone will always talk sheiiit about ya on social media. I've had mostly men that were a solid 2/10 tell me to lose weight and smile more. lol You can't win, so stop trying to.
Soap makes your skin dry because it destroys your skin's natural barrier plus it ruins your pH balance. Maybe not wearing makeup can be good if you can't take it off properly, but don't think the lack of skincare won't backfire at you later
maybe just some toner and moisturizer w spf! ur beautiful but have a bit of redness that can go away overnight, actually just a little ice massage alone when u wake up
Aye. Same. I am 38, people thought I am on my early-mid 20s. I don't drink. I never smoke. I don't wear make up. I don't use skincare, just soap. I never tan. I eat whatever I want. I be who I am.
Besides cosmetic procedures this just HAS to be one the consequences with the rise of vaping. I’m in my early 30s and people think I’m in my early to mid 20s. But I also have a round face which probably helps with looking younger her.
Because it actually has a name. Quarter Life Crisis, yes it exists, and unlike Mid Life Crisis who stems from past regrets, the Quarter Life Crisis is about worrying about the future and feeling no hope. I think I'm going through it too 😅
People who get fillers and botox in their 20s instantly look 40+, getting fillers, botox or other procedures when they're 50+ can make them look younger but before that, they look older.
I am 42 (I am constantly mistaken for being in my late 20s, early 30s), and I thought she was at least 47. I never got Botox or cosmetic surgery, and I only wear a little makeup occasionally. My tips to you: never wear foundation-let your skin breathe (it will also break out less) and never wear fake lashes- they will damage and rip off your natural ones. Forget what is trending. When I was younger, thin eyebrows were the trend, but I never overplucked them. Now all my friends need to fill in their brows with pencil, and I never need one.
I am 38, and I can look anywhere between 18-40 depending on what style I am using. I have noticed that I tend to look very young when I don't have a beard and if I have medium-length hair (I have dense full hair without any grey hairs at all), and I also like wearing sport clothes and denim jackets, which apparently give a young look.
Idk about you guys but I actually do hate cosmetic surgery, and here's why. 1. If it's not a birth defect or emergency, there's no need for it. 2. Most folks who do it suffer from a mental issue of some kind, such as low self-esteem, and that needs to be fixed, not the thing they wish to fix 3. It promotes laziness. Want a Bigger butt? Just slap one on; there is no need to develop discipline at the gym or home to work out; just add it. 4-It strokes people's egos instead of promoting humility. Promotes quick, immediate gratification, which impacts society negatively 5-Cosmetic surgery is mostly done for greed. 6-Normal folks contain themselves in echo chambers, usually women, online and start comparing themselves to unearned, false perfection in looks, which adds to low self-esteem in themselves. People begin to see the AVERAGE person as, not good enough.
@@drjonesey5 I'm saying to you and Pegasus at 4:18, there's a limit to how much people can change themselves naturally, like through exercise. Exercise won't make your lips bigger. That's why people get cosmetic procedures. There's a lot of bullying and many people don't care or are pro-bullying. Why don't people criticizing cosmetic procedures or the victims of bullying criticize bullying instead? People like mgtow, red pill men, and anti-sjw channels bully and demand extreme beauty standards on women. I saw a comment on the Lotus Eaters saying he wanted all women to get breast implants. There's people who want to look different. Anthony Loffredo got cosmetic procedures to look like a alien. Dennis Avner got surgery to look like a tiger. There's people who inject ink into their eyes to dye it, get a 3d donut shape on their forehead, or get elf ears. Lhouraii Li paints her skin blue. Anastasiia Pokreshchuk got procedures to have giant cheeks. Andrea Ivanova got giant lips. Matina Big got procedures to look African. Britney Campbell from Toddlers and Tiaras got botox at 8 yrs old. There's videos on children in Japan who got cosmetic surgery.
and that 1 time out of 10 where it is worth it is because of a disfiguring accident. so yah, god gave us beautiful faces and cosmetic surgeons are demons for even agreeing to give out these procedures.
having duck lips and ballon boobs isn't beauty. also imagine listening to mgtow and taking them seriously. lmao, just ignore people and take care of your own health. it is really that simple. @@user-gu9yq5sj7c
I feel so bad for her 😭 I’m 27 and genuinely if she said she was 40 I would believe her without a doubt. I would probably refer to her as ma’am if I met her meanwhile she’s 5 years younger 😭😭😭
I agree. I’m 41 now. I remember being so annoyed when I was 22-25 when people would knock on my door they legit asked “is your mom or dad home?” Hasn’t happened in a long time now, but I still passed as a teenager when I was my early and mid 20’s. I genuinely think the fillers and Botox ages people when done too early.
Why the hell is the girl who looks 45 at 22 even surprised?? Fillers do that especially when you don’t need them lol, of course she looks like she’s in her 40s when she’s doing all that. Even my mother looks younger than she does.
@@lareeweatherman8309 there's not even much research done about its long term effects since people recently started using it like it's vitamins. Doctors themselves say that but people don't listen and if a good doctor declines they find a shady doctor or some dude with injection and do the fillers and when they get botched or catch a bad infection, they go running to the proper doctor to fix them

Yeah their obsession with diagnosing themselves with mental problems and taking anti anxiety meds probably does affect their brain and aging. Gen z seem to prefer virtual activities instead of being outside with people socializing...the isolation probably causes aging because it's misery rather than stress. Misery ages people...if you look at older single people without kids they look way better than people with kids and unhappy marriages
@@tomaccinoWell while I eat ultra processed foods from time to time just feels like a loud minority in the video here. Most people I know that are my age look normal for their age. But we only hear about the people that are using social media as a tool to sound their opinion so we mostly hear about people using all those reasons why they look older. And I dont think I've ever heard of someone making fun of avocado toast and coffee
This is what is accurate. Saying she looks 45 , a natural 45, is just stupid. nobody will naturally have her skin at the age of 45. Look at real 45 yr olds from the 80s Then look at 45yr olds from the 1890s ... they look like death.
Thats why you should always only do procedures that will look natural, people can easily spot you are trying to fraudmaxx which will damage your overall look, thats why natural looking make up is so popular

I used to love make up and crazy colorful looks even the dark goth aesthetic but recently I don’t even use makeup because I feel it makes me look older (I’m 24) but people usually tell me I look 20-21 is not a big difference but im happy with it now I don’t use it
Funny thing is I'm millennial and have been allergic to almost every type of makeup there is out there (even creams and bodywash/shampoo is had to pick cus i get allergic) so i never use makeup maaaybe an eyeliner pencil but that's it, and i often get mistaken to be 10y younger than i am. Its funny cus ppl used to ask me what stuff i use to look so young lol and my response is nothing ^_^ and they legitimately think I'm lying .
it's called, everyone smokes, vapes, does drugs, eats trash processed food and drinks a LOT. I am 37 and I see people my age that look like they are on Medicare. don't smoke, don't drink, don't do drugs, eat decent food and don't vape and you won't age twice as fast "LOL but that's no fun!" there is literally an entire world of fun things to do that doesn't destroy you and make you look 50 when you are 28
Pretty much this. Add in lack of exercise for a lot of people plus energy drinks and other sugar laden garbage they consume at alarming rates. Having your body constantly full of caffeine and things like guarana is awful for so many different functions of your body. Plus regular sleep patterns with enough REM is important as well...

Im 19 turning 20 this year. I do look older some say mid-20s but that's bc I have a buzz, dress older, muscular build, and have a very mature personality. Gen Z and alpha have been trying to look more grown since their teens and this is the result. Why are they in such a hurry to grow up? It sucks up here.
most likely because their parents treated them like adults as children. Gave them no direction, allowed them to make all their own decisions and treated them as their "best friend" when they were 7 instead of as their child
its actually the opposite.. kids who dont gain recognition of their parents will fight for it. and the dont go into their rite of passage. maybe genz is rushing adulthood because they had no parents to aaknowledge them?@@mickeyc2137
My mum just turned 62. She genuinely looks younger than that 22 year old, and she wears no make up and no fake crap on her face. This "I can do what I want" attitude is their downfall - they don't see that their own ego is destroying their natural face. It's sad, and it's just the Tiktok generation at its worst.
No man! I see many gen z who look their age. They just are scared about ageing which is why they feel old even when they look their age.they compare with millenials who are just 10 years older than avg. Obviously there won't be much diffrence
That likely has more to do with her frame and face shape than just her skin. My mother is 50 and only looks 2 decades younger because she doesn't have any adolescent/childlike features.
"aging like milk" has always confounded me, ive been drinking 2% and whole milk all my life as my main source of protein and everyone thinks im barley 22 at most, i have only 1 wrinkle on my forehead and no other noticeable signs of aging.... also i keep kosher, this has been working pretty well for me, im also trying a more pescetarian diet to up my youth-maxxing. im 30 years old. must be working as everyone thinks im still a kid. lol i even get called "nino" by the older hispanic people i work with, i just never bother correcting them.
I love milk. 2% is the best. Drinking cows milk is really good for you cuz you get immunities that help attack and break down cancer cells. I'm 32, 5'2" with a baby face, haven't had anything done. Everyone treats me like a kid too cuz they really think I'm a teen lol my dentist and my eye doctor even thought so. My mom also looks a lot younger than she is, my grandma aged well. Me and my mom are natural UV sensitive gingers so we also avoid the sun, don't care about tans. Tanning obsessions, too much sun exposure is gonna age white ppl way worse.
As a "Gen Zer" (21) I guarantee it's due to vaping and alcohol. Stress could also be a major cause due to everyone being constantly bombarded with terrible news due to being hooked on social media. Me personally, I don't do any drugs, alcohol or nicotine and got rid of the majority of my social media three years ago and I look like I can pass as a high schooler still.
Im 23 Gen Z 2001 born but ive had a rough life so i look way older than my age im not surprised nor would i want it any differently i have nor did i had any control over many events in my life so it made me cope in unhealthy ways, the extreme stress and literally what the fuck is mental health ? So yeah shit is seriously fucked
A LOT of women tend to sleep with their makeup on. That is a HUGE part of ruining your skin. Makeup needs to be applied fresh every time you use it, and washed off thoroughly before going to bed. The skin doesn't get to breathe. It's one of the top causes of pock marks. You don't need a ton of cremes and lotions, either. Wash your face well with soap and water, and use a decent moisturizer that leaves your skin soft, supple, and comfortable. And ladies.... don't be "afraid" to go out without makeup sometimes. Your skin needs breaks, too. Makeup is supposed to enhance natural features....not paint on an entire new face. One last thing: Use a good quality makeup. Cheap makeup is just that - cheap. If it has any sort of chemical odor, just think of what that will eventually do to your skin. There are good, inexpensive brands out there. Really cheaply made makeup can actually destroy your skin faster than you think! Thank you for attending my TED Talk. 😄 To anyone who reads this: I wish you much luck and love in your Life Journey. ♥️
You're right. I learned I needed to stay away from all the facial masks and creams when I was a teen.(I'm 45). I'm allergic to most of them anyway. All of that heavy makeup can't be good for their skin.
damn you and your content have matured a lot since i last watched! all good takes here lol. in the wild there’s a lot of gen z that still look like babies. but millennials have definitely perfected the younger look
I love "You can do what you want, but is it really what you want?" A psychologist once said like, he helps people get what they want...so they realize they actually dont want it. It becomes one less thing to go for, cause now you know you dont want it.
I'm 21, I already have a mustache and look like those gym teachers in the 80s photo albums. The biggest issue with my generation isn't really the "aging" part, it's the fact that mentally they aren't aging. They aren't maturing, or at least not academically, and don't even get me started on gen alpha's problems regarding their educational issues. We all got quarter life crisis and serious stress which just adds onto the physical aging part, and I'm not so certain it'll get better from here. A lot of us are struggling like hell with money and economically, at least where I live (northeastern USA,) the majority of people my age and even into millennial cannot live with one or even sometimes two wages, and we can't even move out unless we get inheritance or took an advanced degree and got the lucky hire.
I’m gen-x and so want to tell you that your generation has been raised on lies. You don’t have to live the way you do (perhaps not “you” specifically, but as a generation). You guys have been raised to think little luxuries are necessities, and that drives up your cost of living. I’ll leave it at that because so many don’t want to hear it, but would rather keep living with high costs and debt, and get angry at everything. If you want to know a different way - there are so many of us who want to show you how. But start with watching “Reality Bites” and you’ll see how small we lived.
Lol I'm a millennial 37. Drive an R8 and own a weed dispensary..Paid off my parents mortgage at 31 😂 Git Good Kid 👍 😉 Still get carded for drinks and smokes 😅 My brothers are going grey already. This millennial is aging like fine wine
It's also the fact that your generation is too inactive. As millenials we were still made to play sport etc at school. We weren't driven carted everywhere by mom and dad and the streets were still safe where we were walking to places. Even our food wasn't as bad as your generation. Door dash, uber eats wasn't so popular.
Wooo!🤣🤣😭 Dang Jordan!! 🤣🤣 I went to my daughter’s high school to check her out early, a teacher asked me if I was a student. No ma’am! Why were the kids looking older than me😩🤦🏽♀️. They had weaves down to their butts and stilettos on. Miss Ma’am! Why? Whew! So glad my daughter’s hair is long. I would hate to tell her I am not buying bundles and nail claws🙄
A skincare routine is nothing at like getting fillers/botox etc, that stuff genuinely does help “maintain your youth”. Also the ultra blonde hair does give a much older look, because a lot of time when women start to go grey they’ll go blonde because we tend to associate the Barbie look with youthfulness and vitality. And “working with her colours” wouldn’t mean getting more work done, it more means working with what compliments her natural haircolour/wye colour/skintone, etc.
Holy fuck Jordan is borderline Gen Z?! He could stand by my side and he could be mistaken as my uncle and we're only 1 year apart! And I'm borderline millennials

Ngl it lowkey seems like more young people these days try to age themselves faster than usual and try becoming more adult when they're not even near that level of maturity yet💀
The Gothhauswife comment is the most accurate. All those treatments act as a leveller, and the individual gets the generalised look of a Cheshire Housewife eg 40 - 60. My daughter who is a millennial uses only Kat Von D vegan make up, and has none of these treatments, and gets ID'd still. I'm convinced that the fake tans, and formaldehyde nails etc ... even physical trauma from cosmetic operations are fuelling Instagram influencers and their early deaths.
I’m nearing 30 and people tend to think I’m still in high school 🥲 I very rarely wear makeup and focus more on taking care of my skin and body and general health.
That's the inspiration especially for women nowadays, why didn't they realize that beauty industries are pushing them for unrealistic standards while aging them silently, if people will prioritize their health over their 'fast-to-beauty' they will achieve what they want without any regrets
@elliotnono2069It's not genetics. It's simply lifestyle and routine stuff. Genetics can play a part but mostly, its simply what you do in terms of lifestyle (i.e eating habits, exercise habits, nutrition habits, less makeup to allow the skin to breath etc). Basically, the less makeup you wear, the younger you look which is an irony in itself.
I'm turning 30 in June and was just recently asked for my ID to prove I am over 18. People guess me 22 at most. It's wild that everyone you showed in this video is younger than me
I'll be 30 next month and my boyfriend and I were at this very nice hotel where he was speaking at a conference and the bartender seriously scratched at my ID to make sure it wasn't fake. Lol
Fr Im 21 in college and shockingly me and everyone around me also looks 18-22. We just notice the outliers and because of cognitive bias we think that everyone is aging faster.
Yeah. I'm 23 (and male, so no societal pressure to wear makeup), and most people think I look 19. Granted, I shave frequently (which is not gonna help my skin in the long run, bleh), so I tend to always be clean shaven when I go out. If I grow out my beard at all, I instantly look 30. On the flip side I physically matured quickly, and looked 19 since I was 15, so I guess I just have one of those faces that rushes to a certain visual age and then just freezes for a decade.
I'm Gen Z and people have always thought I was much longer than I am I think partly because most people act completely immature nowadays even into their 30s and 40s; so when some one isn't throwing a tantrum over a minor inconvenience they just assume the level-headedness is from age
Honestly the bearded guy is going to age really well, he will look great in 10, 20, 30 years - a Cary Grant type - will age like fine wine. I think the filler and Botox ones - esp in excess - are actually going to face some aging issues because normally it’s for aging people who have lost collagen and etc!
i will say jordan's style definitely effects what age i would perceive him as. the glasses, that nice coat he's wearing, the beard obviously. he looks "older" but that's because his style is more mature which is a great thing in my opinion.
Guys, it’s filler and Botox. Young women and girls get those “preventative” minimal invasive procedures to eventually “age gracefully”. The problem is, fillers shift and migrate. People have body dysmorphia and get more and more cosmetic procedures done which ultimately ages them badly.
Maybe it's just a scare tactic? Like focusing on a few badly aging celebs or examples. Gen Z is really focused on looks and looking young overall, so it's probably some type of tactic to make them feel like they're aging badly when in reality, they're probably not. Just playing off whatever trauma you can for whatever generation.
Well yes, and the people who even do botox, are already prime easy targets too to keep milking from. People need to learn a bit more about body neutrality lol .
Nah when I was a sophomore. I wore a long dress once waiting to talk to a teacher and when her class of Seniors walked in, they asked if I was a substitute. Also, based off of my voice one of my online friend’s moms said that I was lying about my age and I was 35 😂 and then one time when it was dark out and I was talking to someone who was the same age as me. He apparently thought I was in my late 20’s and a mom.
I mean Gen Z is basically in an arms race with natural aging, and are stressing themselves out extra with social media doom-and-gloom. I know many people who literally went to war and aged significantly better. Don't blame the housing crisis or the job market. People came out of literally The Great Depression not looking like that. Botox and fillers have both been normalized, and both age badly. That's a lot of it with women. Men, I think, are not used to looking like men. Those of us who are older look at Jordan and say, "Could be 20s, could be a young 40," because when WE were in our 20s, we were considered adults, and he looks like an adult.
They thing is the amount and the ease of getting plastic surgery now. In the 2000s it was super expensive and not something everyone could afford. I'm not talking about boob jobs I'm talking about altering your face and injecting crap in you at a young age when you don't need it.
Its so true, I didn't wear makeup on a day to day basis I only wore makeup to like super important events and now that I'm older my skin still looks very good for my age and I really think it has a lot to do with that fact.
According to Dermatologists, makeup isnt bad for skin. The main damage to skin is sun damage, I wear makeup alot, a different style now. But makeup is not why these people look bad. There are ppl like Gwyneth Paltrow who are makeup free and look horribly aged.
Same. I never wear foundation. I hate having something covering my skin. I feel my skin needs to breathe. What I do wear is sunscreen everyday. And the only makeup I wear is mascara, eyeliner, lipstick and I fill in my brows. Most people think I am in my mid twenties. But I am actually in my 30's.
@@Gia-mg5nx you do realize that sun emits 5% of UV which can damage the skin and 55% of infrared which REJUVENATES the skin? Also Gwyneth Paltrow is over 50 and you want to tell me she looks bad for her age? Also I would love to see these dermatologist saying that makeup isn't bad for the skin lol
What about the 10 year olds that have their parents purchase skin care from Sephora who are inadvertently aging themselves by unnecessarily applying chemicals to their young skin? I'd love it if a video perspective was done on this subject.
This makes me feel better being gen Z (almost 24) n getting confused as a teen at work 😂 like every time I say ANYTHING bout a husband, they r like 😦 thinking I'm a child bride or some sht 😭
@Vineethajojo It's funnier when teens from the hs come in thinking I'm around their age. 😂 even my 16 yr old coworker thought I was her age at 1st. I just take it as a compliment at this point.
girl I get it when I was your age, I was in a clinic for a missed miscarriage surgery and the front desk ladies thought my husband was my dad!!! LOL just last summer 28 some person trying to sell me new windows asked if my parents were home....DEAD
The person who said that these young girls are getting old women procedures and it’s aging them is spot on. The 22 year old with the mega plump face does look 45. Im 37 and she looks older than me. You can’t get it fully dissolved. It migrates into other parts of your body.
The stretched skin is irreversible too. So young skin that wasn't sagging now sags like someone twice their age is supposed to from the extra weight. So they swapped out their good skin for sag and migrating lumps that destroys their skin from the inside. All just so their face can look like dough.
I'm gen z and 16 years old, and when I see people my age I'm kinda shocked. Like I was in some theater gruop thing and one of the girls had a full face of make up, and she looked 22 or something. She was 14. where as I just got told that it wasn't meant to be rude but he still couldn't believe I was 16, because he thought I looked so young. And as that guy said "it's because of stress" I think is true, because I've been homeschooled my whole life and have a very good relationship with my family, and have had a very chill childhood, but most kids go to public schools where they're forced to be 20 or more kids in a class and it's survival of the fittest in there, and you never get time to just rest and find yourself, so you go to social media where they can discover who you are, for you. And you want to mimic those you see and look up to so you try to look like them, but if it's old people you're trying to mimic of course you're going to look old! So my solution to make gen z look younger is remove the first 5 years of school, and don't use too much time on the internet
Damn, we're fucked. I have 19 years old and when I was 15 y/old people usually thought I was 20-something. I even bought cigarretes and nobody complained.
im 32 and i keep getting asked if im going to school, if ive picked a college yet and so on. a few years ago, a woman tried to hook me up with her teenage grandson. i had to tell her im old enough to be him mom 😂. i dont think i look that young but if some people do, that's good enough for me lmao i'll take it 😂 this chick is 10 years younger than me and looks 20 years older. thats messed up. im sad for these women, what a mistake they made.
Gen X here. I have always looked younger than I am. Was mistaken for 14 when I was in college. Had to show church friends my DL to prove I was 32. Now I'm one month from 52 and still have no real wrinkles. I don't wear makeup outside of special occasions. Never been drunk, never smoked (though my parents did when I was a kid). The only plastic surgery I've had was to correct my trigger thumb issue.
I know people think we Gen X'ers are being extra by saying Gen X is not aging as fast as everyone else....but I really believe that is true. We (all generations) have different upbringings, and largely, Gen X'ers were not that bad off in terms of economic stability and political climate. I think those things, among a few other things, may have made a difference. Plus, we were not using the same crap or procedures on our faces as early as many young people do now. Could it be that we were happier in general? Who knows.
Same here, Millenial who's 36 and people thinks I'm in my late 20's all the time, but people who's been using and abusing makeup looks 50+ already while they're in their 40's.
@@deejelly1208 I stopped wearing makeup daily when I got married. I felt so beautiful in my husband's love. Corny, I know. But that's the truth. It was such a bother and time-waster, too.

I know a few girls who used to be the bombshells of the class but then they felt the need to get filler/botox/bbl/fake boobs and now they look at least above 40
I agree with the beards making people looking older. True also with the filler. I think too it depends on your diet and if you smoke or drink. If you can have a laugh too. I’m 50 and people think I am in my early 30s. They think I am older though when I grow a beard, but I also walk most places too.
Sun damage does the most to age people and melanin does the most to protect against it (well, naturally protect, sunscreen does the job too). I knew someone who used to use tanning in her early 20s a lot and it aged her unfortunately
I'm a 25 year old female and my colleagues at work said they thought I looked 18 so it's definitely not every Gen Z person. Younger women are looking older due to her cosmetic procedures, unnatural coloured hair which doesn't match they're skin tone and they're probably following makeup tutorials by older millenial women which also age them further.

Be mad but imma be honest. I find it weird when I see younger people trying to look/act old like this girl along with older people trying to act/look young like Gwen Stefani. Like why is it swapped? I’m 25 and I am trying to act/ look my age as best as possible. When I do act my age, people sometimes be thinking I’m childish….bro I am a young adult.
Nothing wrong with having a skincare obsession and being healthy and doing it the right way. I have a skincare obsession and stay away from most makeups save a handful of times a year, and will never do fake tan, botox, etc.
The right skincare actually will make people look younger when they're older. Basic skincare focuses on hygiene, hydration, and protection from the sun/free radicals. However, some people get too obsessed and end up using too many unnecessary products that can ruin their skin.
I agree ! I don’t use NOTHING no makeup no skin care and my skin is ok . I get many complements on my skin and right away ask what’s my care routine lol there is none , that’s the secret 🤭
Scared to comment but I’m ACTUALLY 45 this year and I couldn’t agree with your vid more. The over use of filler and Botox completely age you. I don’t do either, but have been tempted to dabble til I see things like this 🤣
I turn 45 next week and a lot of people think I’m in my early 30’s but I think it’s more genetics for me. My parents didn’t look their age either. I’ve always been more plain. Don’t really wear make up, wash my face with basically hot water etc. I don’t know if that contributed.

Plastic surgery is now not only done by super-rich and celebrities but by quite a lot of females (also at a young age already) which kinda gives them the old woman who wants to stay young look
.

That preventative care for wrinkles. Obviously you have to start it BEFORE you get wrinkles.
Embrace the wrinkles
Man it’s like Gen Z trying to outdo millennials in everything, including aging.

Someone persuaded her, that's why.
The women's market is the most worthless and extravagant waste of resources humanity ever created.

To be fair, part of the reason for this is BECAUSE millennials look younger. If 40 looks 20, then 20 looks 40 because they look the same. Make sense? It's like, if an M looks like an upside down W, then it's also true that a W looks like an upside down M.

2. Most folks who do it suffer from a mental issue of some kind, such as low self-esteem, and that needs to be fixed, not the thing they wish to fix
3. It promotes laziness. Want a Bigger butt? Just slap one on; there is no need to develop discipline at the gym or home to work out; just add it.
4-It strokes people's egos instead of promoting humility. Promotes quick, immediate gratification, which impacts society negatively
5-Cosmetic surgery is mostly done for greed.
6-Normal folks contain themselves in echo chambers, usually women, online and start comparing themselves to unearned, false perfection in looks, which adds to low self-esteem in themselves. People begin to see the AVERAGE person as, not good enough.
Madonna turned into Jigsaw's b!tch!🤣

I agree. I’m 41 now. I think fillers make the face look like a gargoyle after a couple years. The filler doesn't leave the face eventhough Drs tell them it does.
@@lareeweatherman8309 there's not even much research done about its long term effects since people recently started using it like it's vitamins. Rapid Aging more than likely due to extreme nutritional deficiencies compounded with stress and lack of proper rest.

Makes sense. Gen Z has a terrible diet, stuff like ultra-processed foods.

MATURITY IS FOR BORING LOSERS
It's also the fact that your generation is too inactive. As millenials we were still made to play sport etc at school. We weren't driven carted everywhere by mom and dad and the streets were still safe where we were walking to places. Even our food wasn't as bad as your generation. Door dash, uber eats wasn't so popular.
What do you mean academically? More people than ever before have a college eduaction

On the flip side I physically matured quickly, and looked 19 since I was 15, so I guess I just have one of those faces that rushes to a certain visual age and then just freezes for a decade.

Honestly the bearded guy is going to age really well, he will look great in 10, 20, 30 years - a Cary Grant type - will age like fine wine. Guys, it’s filler and Botox. Young women and girls get those “preventative” minimal invasive procedures to eventually “age gracefully”.
The problem is, fillers shift and migrate. People have body dysmorphia and get more and more cosmetic procedures done which ultimately ages them badly.
Am I getting some sort of opposite effect or what? 😭 people keep thinking I'm in middle school but I'm literally in high school!?
I'm not talking about boob jobs I'm talking about altering your face and injecting crap in you at a young age when you don't need it.
nope. genz actually looks older. don't know why but the women especially.

Shes beautiful still though
But you look older tho? Idk man
@@rblxplaysmochax6808 as beautiful as these botox grannies right
She definitely looks older than you. Whoa
It’s like that inkmaster clip…”why you look 50 and you’re 25?”
As an 80s baby i can confirm i look younger than most gen z. Someone though i was in my early 20s when im pushing 40. What a time to be alive.
Right?! I’m 43 and recently got carded when I bought a scratcher ticket 😂
Same here. 38 and if I'm clean shaven I get carded buying cigarettes.
I'm 37. A few years ago I got carded trying to buy a lighter. I wore a mask, because pandemic, but for buying a lighter?
Did you shoot someone with your trigger thumb?
I love it when elderlies call me a little girl and I tell them I am as old as most grandmother but my face and body stayed as a child.....all that Asian diet lol.
Black male here Gen X 56 yrs old people say I don’t look 56 and I just tell them “ Black don’t crack “ 😂😂
When someone says i look good or young for my age i tell them that my race equals good genetics too n im white🙂
Sun damage does the most to age people and melanin does the most to protect against it (well, naturally protect, sunscreen does the job too). I knew someone who used to use tanning in her early 20s a lot and it aged her unfortunately
It's really just Fat Don't Crack most of the time.
Does makeup mess up you're skin if you put on too much? Seems like it would block natural air flown in addition to whatever the chemicals may do.
@@-.____________________________ I wouldn't say if you wear too much makeup but if you don't clean your face and remove the makeup fully each night before bed so your skin can breathe it could cause some acne.
Because they expect you to look 45
Same I’m 26 everyone’s always shocked I’m 26 and think I’m between 18-21.
@@-.____________________________makeup doesn’t do it , it’s not wearing spf or washing face properly. If you wear makeup always wash it off really well and stay hydrated
Its definitely true that having a beard makes you look much older. I dont know if I look older than I am but with a 2 week beard I definitely look 10 years older.
ajajajjj, brain damaged... gosh, I love your style! Please don't change it!
The quest to look younger actually makes you look older. Your obsession with “skincare” is killing your skin
Nothing wrong with having a skincare obsession and being healthy and doing it the right way. I have a skincare obsession and stay away from most makeups save a handful of times a year, and will never do fake tan, botox, etc.
skincare is fine… botox filler etc… is not 😂
Cosmetic procedures are not exactly skincare though
The right skincare actually will make people look younger when they're older. Basic skincare focuses on hygiene, hydration, and protection from the sun/free radicals. However, some people get too obsessed and end up using too many unnecessary products that can ruin their skin.
I agree ! I don’t use NOTHING no makeup no skin care and my skin is ok . I get many complements on my skin and right away ask what’s my care routine lol there is none , that’s the secret 🤭
Gen Z didn't invent stress. They just act like it.
Wow Those Plastic Surgery Jobs Was With Actresses When I Grew Up There Destroying Themselves
@@youdontevengohere9858 yeah I’m the same, ppl think I’m about 10 years younger but I have what I consider optimal health habits as well. There are a lot of different factors that contribute to “aging”
Don't do it. It ages you like 10 yrs. You'll be 45 looking 55 that's trying too hard.
🤣 I'm a millennial. I'm a teacher in elementary school and a mother, at the beginning of the year, thought I was a high schooler. My gen Z colleague looks older than me and she is younger by a decade.
My boyfriend thought I was also a high schooler, I'm 35yo 😅
you infact do not look like a highschooler ma'am. you look 35
"My boyfriend thought I was a high schooler,"
Is that why he's your boyfriend?
they really are not lmao. thats just millennials cope to make thmsvels feel younger during thier mid life crisis. taking a couple people from a generation who look older and saying most of the gen is is stupid.
@@lilaross-cz8zr millennials are way young to have "mid life crisis". Plus people don´t need to think very much to understand that most gen Zs are completely nuts. And thats not your fault either.
same I'm tuning 30 this month and I get mistaken as a 15 year old lol
since i was in highschool i had this complex about looking to young in comprassion with my other classmates, even now i'm just 19. some people think that i just graduated from school, but brooo i felt really bad for these people that we can consider Young adults and looking like single parents going trough a divorce
Jordan was about to cry 😂😂😭
