I totally feel seen. I do the same thing, and I have one or two bottles that I mix all the polishes into (usually by finish) for an ultimate franken shade. I think the process makes it even more fun to finish a polish.
Hi Paula, I did this a couple of months ago and felt good about getting rid of 22 bottles as a result. Then I've just done a nail polish declutter video and reduced by another 10. That’s very helpful thanks. Plus I really like the idea of adding more colour to polish that I don’t quite like enough. Also I can use the empty bottle to experiment with mixing new colours

This is great! I never thought about the harm caused by throwing nail polish in the trash, thank you for pointing that out. I think if you want to clean out the top part of the bottle you can keep a little polish thinner in the bottle and leave it upside down overnight. I did that once when I was younger because I wanted a clean bottle for something lol. I was always into crafts and diys

I had a chunky indigo nail polish and a chrome nail polish I didn't really like and it shifted from blue to purple so I mixed them together and the outcome was a amazing

First found this video when I had top coat which the brush couldn't reach anymore, I just added it to my next top coat once it had enough space. Hadn't thought of that myself, so thanks! And now I had 2 colours which were almost empty and I didn't like either of them that much and by mixing them together they made a beautiful new color!
yeah, im going to have some OCD over this myself. also the type to want as close to 100% used up before moving onto another new one. i got a few favorite colors i dont want to dilute but there are others i dont care about as much. i got one bottle good for another 6 rounds of 3 layers, its a clear top mixed with a bit of white for a translucent.

Do you know if this is possible to do with top coats? It annoys me so much that the nailpolish brush doesn't reach well enough to the bottom of the bottle and I end up wasting so much of the top coat :(

Nina Dyson eeek. Mixing them is how I have always done it. I’m not sure what else you could do besides just adding thinner. Good luck!!
One more thing. Do you have to buy a polish from Zoya for them to take your old bottles?
Does Zoya still take the empties? I haven't been into nail polish very long, but already have a couple of empty bottles.

@@3rin817good luck! Panning polish is torture for me, but I’m happy if I can finish one or two colored polishes and one or two base and top coats a year, I’m good with that:)
That is an awesome idea, tho I'd be bit wary which colours I mix x I must pick up some nail polish thinner x I wonder if anywhere in the Uk does the same as Zoya, because that sounds like a very good initiative! x Great video hunni x

You can clean that outside of bottle with acetone to avoid drying
You can clean the rest with babyoil
But what about stamping polishes?
