Great video! I always wondered how these were to paint, as the NO NEED FOR PRIMER they put on the label can be very tempting to anyone looking to cut out some work time. Thanks for sharing, Dicey!
I've had luck skipping the primer layer with Reaper minis if I wash the mini with rubbing alchohol first to clean all the oils and dirt off the plastic first.
It is MUCH better then finecast, that I will say and way better then any boardgame pices like talisman. I would rank them amongst warmachine and mantic restic plastic, as better, I would say GW plastic is the gold standar to work with, and for metal Courvious Belli. The new USA bones are crisp details and great to paint on in my opinion, would say they are above FW resin in that regard!
We need noobie to get his Electron Microscope out to observe the roughness of the surfaces
Indeed!

I take pride in that!

Yup, this is the quest to find out if I can skip that and just paint it.
So . . . priming is optional, then?
Yeah, I think so!
...But result might be different for you. Depending on factors I do not know of? Lovely minis to work on tho
Hello anyway you have to wash them with soap and water to remove anti addesive powder
Yup, sure all good, no doubt. but this is a test to see how little preparation you can do and still end up with a great result.
@@DiceyGuy np just an advice it make it even easier painting on then
The ones I painted, I did a prime with an airbrush. Not that crazy about the material that they use.
