I think you would have got a better result by putting the foam layer under the PCB instead of above it. There's already a layer of white switch foam there so you're getting diminished returns doing that. However, you've now punched holes in that foam so you'll need a new sheet if you want to do that. If you really want a very muted sound, the Gateron Chocolate low profile switches are the way to go. They're the next best thing to an actual silent switch.
I loved your original review video for the v1 air75, it really helped me with deciding whether or not I should get the v2 instead. It's a shame the new air60 doesn't have an improved battery life. I think the foam did help, even if it's just a little. Without the foam, the keyboard sounded clacky and more hollow to me. After the mod, the keyboard sounded deeper and thuddier (thock-ier?). Keep up the great work!
thanks a lot for watching my videos! and for letting me know you can hear the bit of difference with the foam! I haven’t noticed the subpar battery life of the Air75 v2 & Air60 v2 as so far it’s lasting long enough for me. I will keep this in mind so I can cover this in a follow up video in the future!
i think you can try to add tape mod for the pcb and hand lube for the switch , it would made sound more creamy or thocky, glad to see your update mod video
Love your content❤. I have a question about Logitech k380s that will it work on iPad 10th gen and if yes will the shortcuts will work as shown by you in your previous videos 😊
You are doing so many thing wrong. 1-Aloe and daisy switches are loud. If you want tactility buy wisteria if you dont buy cowberry. 2-Best way to get silent experience is lubing and swapping springs. But you have to do it right. 3-Try tape mod under the PCB.
keychron foam isn't sound dampening, its just made to protect during shipping
Wow with the daisy switches it sounds fantastic, very clean 👍
Good looks you showed me what I need to do for my Air 60v2

It sounds warmer with the foam.
Love the keyboard color 😊

you forgot to put a mod on the backplate either tape mod or another layer of sound dampening material
Thanks for the tip! Maybe I will try to add that later 😉
@@MindyC just be careful on the thickness of the material as you might not close the plastic backplate tape should be fine
