Very interesting. Never thought about making a keyboard quieter. However, I did get the Arkfeld Pro light you reviewed. Excellent light for sure. Thanks.
I heard that you can use Othodontic elastic bands as a replacements for O-rings for dampening switches, since normal ones are too big. There are also other mods, for example, like putting packaging foam in the case to dampen the keyboard in general.
@@EVERYTHINGcpo No problem. Disclaimer that I haven't tried it myself yet. There also are some O rings that are thinner if it turns out the orthodontic bands don't feel right for you since different rings will have different sound and feel. It will also making bottoming out easier :)
hey, I just bought my first mechanical keyboard(apex 7), and after two weeks, some switches started to feel rough and hard to press. Should I lube it only? or should I try something else?
5:41 great tip! Thanks!
lol i loved your video! It made me laugh. And thanks for the demo! I went from Brown to Cowberry and they’re still loud. So I’m buying this kit now!

That is such a useful light!
It looks like you also lubed the tactile bump, is that correct? What lubricant did you use?

@@dumbledoratheexplora1140 I’ve seen the foam and tape mods but haven’t seen the orthodontic bands. Thanks!

I must be doing something wrong in life. Ain't no way I have enough time to do that to every switch in my keyboard. :(
Has anyone tried that cheat way of lubing at 10:20? Any results?

@@Osama96- I would disassemble the switch to try and figure out why. You probably won’t even need to line to fix.
Is this lubing a 1 time process, or do i need to do it again when the lube goed off after typing for a while?
@@joramletlora8079 I’m new with this, but I would imagine it’s a one time process.
@@EVERYTHINGcpo okay thank you!
@@EVERYTHINGcpo thanks for your guide! ti worked perfectly!
Does this keyboard works with android tablets ?
I honestly don't know. I assume it works just fine. Its seen by everything I have as a standard bluetooth keyboard.
