When Aerial/Eri said "I'm sorry", I would have bet she would have stopped intentionally regardless of the shut down order. Eri knows her mother's plan is getting close to the end and she probably wanted Suletta to be not involved with this anymore.

Eri is kinda with Miorine here because in the novel there's a part where Eri doesn't want Sulleta to be involve in their mother's plan. Just like Miorine, Eri wants Sulleta to have a peaceful life.

Can we appreciate the fact that Miorine, Guel and even Aerial herself wants Suletta to be free from her mother's shackles and wants her to live a normal life. This shows how much they care for Suletta.
For those who are saying this duel is unfair, it was planned by Miorine and Guel to have Suletta lose the duel so that she won't be involved in her mother's plan. It just so happened that Aerial herself also wants Suletta to be free so she agreed to be shutdown. Heck she would be willing to shutdown herself without Miorine's remote app

I agree that MC needs to have one loss at least but I also don't think she's arrogant or spoiled enough to have to learn humility from losses. Guel on the other hand is one such example.
During each of every silly Utena duel, all the beam output setting are lowered enough to not harm the pilot's life. That's why everyone was shocked to see those two Lfrith Throne and Ur beam output causing lethal damage to surrounding environment .

This is whole plan of wanting Suletta to be free from Gundam and her Mom is just going to backfire so hard. By forcefully ejecting Suletta from the only tie she has on this world (relationship with Aerial, relationship with her mom and relationship with Miorine), all without telling her just for the sake of protection is just making Suletta having an existential crisis and making her vulnerable to be used by others (Shaddiq & Elan).
Suletta useless now. With Aerial under the Jeturk House, no one will be approach Suletta. She has value because she's the only one who can pilot Aerial.
But no one knows that. On the surface, most people will think that she is the only one who can pilot a gundam and activate Data Storm without being overload by permet.

Cuz sletta will be now more vulnerable and feels like she has no one to lean on except her mother. If you watch this ep you'll notice that her mother was the one who made them duel in the first place plus she was totally fine with mio's plan. Now sletta will feel like she let her mother and mio down, and feels like she has to prove herself.

Doing her best not to break her facade, to not reach out and hug Suletta, apologizing for what she did especially when she started crying. Yes, this was very painful for her as well.

@@andreasbudiraharja1641Well, in Suletta's perspective, Miorine betrayed her, Miorine doesn't need her anymore. And yeah, that was really scary seeing how that one gundam's legs meltedwhen it touched that beam.
Alongside of winner before Suletta with help of Miorine and Aerial itself, Guel is winning himself. Accidentaly killing his own father, watching a little Seethia dead belong with him while piloting is unsatisfied feeling. But he overcame his fear and PTSD to pilot again. He has my fully respect now!

Mio falls right into Prospera's plan i think. If the theory that the hack Prospera gave Mio is to transfer Eri out of Aerial to her helmet is true, then Aerial now is just an empty shell (thus the shutdown).
This "betrayal" will drive Suletta closer to Prospera, and as mentioned in previous episode, there are significant more material and money spent on the "repair" of Aerial, so we can assume Prospera has secretly build a new gundam. She will then transfer Eri to the new gundam and make Suletta pilot it now the Mom is all Suletta left....
Mio not knowing the true nature of Aerial is an issue...

hi there! going with your theory, how about prospera is preparing for exchanging the consciousness of eri and suletta??? in short, eri will be in suletta's body while suletta will be the "gundam" since she has already lost everything, is now empty, and is dependent to prospera? suletta will be a perfect gundam (weapon)...
prospera will have both, eri in her body (her main goal) and suletta as the gundam obedient to her...
with all the cost for "repairing" aerial, reaching permet 8(?), and acquiring quiet zero (maybe the program is about putting a person's consciousness in a gundam (since the body can't last in space) and able to return it) since prospera also pitched in aerial's data for helping this project, these and the ending credit brings out foreboding that i reach to this theory... the ending is so melancholic, it looks like suletta is wanting to stay with miorine but have to leave (say goodbye)... 😢😢😢

Look at 20:14 mark, Miorine didnt want to betray Suletta for malicious purpose. Her hands was shaking :( . It is clear that Prospera doesnt for real care about Suletta . Prospera only cares about her daugther , aERIal Only.
Well, Miorine is playing right into Elnora's hands. Taking away everything Suletta has only ever known and loved will only push her further towards being a mindless drone, an interface compatible with Aerial/Eri as a tool for war.

Not really, if Prospera does not uphold her end of the bargain, Miorine can just cut off funding for Quiet zero. Prospera had to choose between vengeance (Quiet Zero) and Suletta, she chose vengeance... And Miorine will undoubtedly betray Prospera at some point.
Damn. I thought this was moving a bit too fast but heck. After that previous episode Miorine's feelings about Suletta have definitely changed. That brawl in the greenhouse, tho. Shows exactly how desperate Elan was. Heck, he even decided to join up with Shaddiq's goons. Then, after that, Mio did some eavesdropping and deep thinking on whether she was still to go through with this because at the end of the day, she just wanted Suletta have her own life and be free. The duel itself was fast-paced, and shows us that Guel will need a bit more episodes for his trauma to disappear. I also like the upgrade for the Darilbalde as well. I was definitely rooting for him but I wished he didn't need the killswitch to win. Apparently, he doesn't need dirty tricks like that to win.. Then after the duel, Miorine just flat-out ousted Suletta stating that it was all just one big trade and that she lost her place in said trade. It's kind of sad but I feel it was necessary. Like I said, at the end of the day, she did care about Suletta and was willing to do this so that she could be free from he mother. This episode was DEFINITELY a banger and I love where the show's going. Can't wait for the next episodes.
As for and if anyone is interested/curious about the Darilbalde upgrade, here are some changes to it:
-Backpack Upgrade (In between the thrusters)
-Ambika/Shield upgrade (Cross)
-Inclusion of 2 more Isvara Drones (Now in black and totalling 4)
-Close-range Beam Blade inclusion (Seems like a modified Beam Torch from what I can see)
-Beam Rifle inclusion (Possible a modified Dilanza beam rifle)
As for the things that remained:
-Knee Crusher (What I assume are the knee pads themselves, Gundam Wiki doesn't have a description)
-Pellet Mines (Launch out of the knees)
-Shackle Claw (The feet)
-Beam Saber (Situated in the Isvara B-Types)
-Beam Vulcan (In the head)
The Beam Javelin and its sub-units, the Beam Anchor and Kunai respectively, have been removed for better or for worse. I'd like to say that the Ambika have lost their drone capabilities, but we can't say for sure yet as they were just destroyed immediately. For the Isvara A-Types (main forearm units), I'd say they still have their drone capabilities evident by the connection ports being present and not destroyed.
As for my final comments about the duel, I gotta say, Eri saying sorry to Suletta, the happy birthday music toned up to 11 on the somber scale, the killswitch moment, I loved it. It would also seem as though Prospera's goal of reaching Pmet Score 8 is near, judging by the slightly different shade of blue on the shell units, and Prospera's helmet thingy.
I agree with your statement. But how will Suletta or the Earth House see it? To them, they'll take it as betrayal and Suletta will be reduced to an empty shell. Indeed, what Miorine did for Suletta was true about her no longer being involved with her mother's plan of vengeance, but I also think that it is Miorine's way of atoning for her father's sins towards what he did 21 years ago. At the end of the day, Prospera's plans come to fruition, Miorine will run for president and change the Benerit Groups' ways, Guel gets the chance to change Jertuk, and Suletta is free to live her life without being involved as a pawn of a grudge. But there is one question at play here. At what cost does that bring. What does it cost for what Miorine, Guel, and Eri do for Suletta's sake? Will she be happy with this choice? Will they all be satisfied with this after what she did for them? Everything has a price to pay.
Sounds to me like the answer lies in the phrase, "If you run, you get one, move forward, you get two". But what happens when neither parties are not ok with what they gain? Will they be satisfied or not? There seems to be another deeper meaning behind those words. Hopefully, it will be revealed soon
To be fair, I'd also argue the override is a bit of a dirty trick too. He was doing a very good job of keeping pace with the Suletta in the Darilbalde until the override turned his own drones against him.

And I think her mother did have more than one mobile suit for her now what will mio do next? She got aerial but it cost sulleta I think we will see new Gundam and sulleta as enemy.
What mio did can make suletta not trust anyone but her mother and can descent her to madness and she will going to battle spree and trash everyone in that school.

That faint "I'm sorry" from aERIal is if I'm not wrong, the first ever scene where we actually hear them communicate with each other.
I know Miorine just leaving Suletta out of the fight but still... This is so painful. It hurts. It really hurts. My chest is hurting a lot. Suletta will have existential crisis over this. And we have to wait two weeks. TWO WEEKS.

Miorine "betraying" Suletta would make it easier for Prospera to manipulate Suletta more. Imagine someday Prospera decides to tell the story of Vanadis Incident to Suletta and then proceed to say something like, "Look, this is the daughter of the man who killed your Papa and Mama's friend. Her father wanted to take away our Gundam. She just did the same to you like her father to Mama."
There is one thing about life, you need to experience losing once in your lifetime. Suletta never experienced losing in her career as a pilot, but mirione do it for the sake of her happiness as well as she will pay the consequences for that. For the worst part, I have a feeling that the next episode will be another turning point in the series.

very likely it will go wrong from here, consider the setup for Guel and Sulleta are different, they can't have the same redemption arc. Plus, who to say Sulleta is useless without Aerial? Miorine loves Suletta so much that she's willing to pull through such a painful act with Guel. Suletta was so ready to return the feelings too. Can't wait to see Suletta's development arc and win back her bride. ;_; (I sincerely hope)

Every episode I think "There's no way the next episode is more shocking" but somehow it is.
I really like the music score in this section 8:15. Apart from the romantic scene, the music itself depicts Guel's character which has changed a lot. from annoying characters to characters I wish had a happy ending. but considering this is a Gundam series, I just hope he survives to the end.
A reminder that the writer penned Revolutionary Girl Utena light novels. I think we ought to have been prepared for this sooner or later. We have 8 more episodes. A LOT of time for anything else to happen, so stay strong.
I really had a feeling/fear that Suletta might become the final villain of the series like everything comes crashing down even might lose her sanity and go full Psychopath that even Aerial will be consumed....
And I have a hunch that prospera build another Gundam which will be connected to quit zero now that mio betrayed suletta prospera will going to use this to make suletta a mindless and emotionless war pilot.
No MC in Gundam universe who not going in emotional not stable phase, it just Suletta arc to bounce back to get development in her character. Heck even lord Kira gone this route in Seed series. Hope the eartharian house help her through pass this phase

Good episode. Shows that Miorine is capable of making cold-blooded decisions like his dad, and perhaps a turning point for Suletta's character development.

So happy to see Guel win at LAST but it is sad for Suletta and Miorine case, Mio knew Suletta is naive asf so she must do this way to prevent Prospera's Purpose

I get how Guel is considered as the "true protagonist" by the fans, holy shit. Now he's caught up in this game as well as a major piece even.

I know both Eri, Miorine, and Guel agree to help Suletta out of this chaos and just simply become happy like a normal girl.
From miorine's perspective, taking Aerial from Suletta going to solve the problem with her controlling mother, because as far as she knows, Suletta was sent to the school only as a tool for dueling.
However, what she didn't knew is what secret lies underneath Aerial that meant so much for Suletta.
It doesn't help that after her betrayal, Sulleta can be very susceptible to her mother's controls even more..

건담 수성의마녀. 첫인상은 믿고싶지 않은 이미지였는데 보면 볼 수 록 정말 신선하고 쇼킹한 작품이다
I know it had to be done. There was no dealing with Suletta. Miorine had to deal with Suletta's mother if she was ever going to be free. But it still hurt seeing Suletta betrayed like that.
And that betrayal will descent suletta to madness.

But all of them are dancing in the palm of prospera's hand.
And that's how maybe Gundam Schwarzette was born by getting information of Gundam tech directly through Aerial
This episode instantly become my favourite episode so far from this series. 🔥🔥 Well at least we all know why Miorine did that to Suletta. Well she have good intentions but well she had to use a harsh way to split Suletta from Aerial. Man....love this episode. The way they make Guels redemption. Finally Guels have drone. Also, love how the redemptions happened on the same stage...like the first episode which also their first battle ever. What a nostalgic battle...and tide turned between them. This will be a very frustrating experience for Suletta.
I hope we get aerial levels of op from the other companies since, aerial is basically undefeatable without cheating your way thoroughly,as seen in this episode, I really wanna see fair fights in the future where aerial isn't a guarantee to a victory.
hmm from this episode, i guess the foreshadowing in the ending is becoming real now. Suletta got rejected by Miorine and instead faced with aerial and got absorb with all the others to become one. With the other Suletta clones giving her a dream of being with Miorine in another world.
And the op and ed show expression that Suletta typically do not show, more like Eri is piloting Aerial. The last sequence of untied hair Suletta (feels more like Eri instead). Which also show why when they hold hands, it is shaking not out of joy but more of sadness.
So eventually Suletta may not be existing in the future.
episode 18 was suppose to come out on my birthday next week, may 14, now it's getting delayed and replaced with a filler, birthdays really are cursed in this series 😭
At first I thought yuri is just an element to attract new audience, but after this episode...gosh, suletta really love miorine, she has officially rejected no5 and guel at the same time, and even said she wanna marry miorine, the writter is rlly spending effort to set up the plots to build up their relationship. I think we might be getting a wedding scene of this couple since the staff actually take the marriage serious(not like other yuri anime)
It's just that it hurt so much to see suletta got betrayed by miorine, her mom, guel and possibly her sister too(i dun think aerial will just stop with a remote, possibly she knows what will happen to suletta and choose to help miorine)😢
Yeah, I'm on the camp that thinks Suletta and Miorine is still gonna be endgame especially from how much effort the production staff seems to put in with the marketing of these two. Just that the journey to that end is a painful one...
I hope they should let miorine be free cuz why not her goal is go to earth and guel would take over the beneret group or whatever group what that is and let the guel vs shaddiq (shadass) do their war's.... But at the same time I don't want miorine thinks she's a part of that massacre 21yrs ago and in this war..... Leave sulemio out of this and live a peaceful life
