- On 25 March 2014, Everton chalked up the third win in a run of six consecutive Premier League victories, beating Newcastle United 3-0 at St James’ Park in a memorable away day.
Ross Barkley gave the Blues the lead with a wonder-goal after 22 minutes. He picked the ball up inside his own half and carried it all the way to the Newcastle box before unleashing a fine shot past Tim Krul and into the net.
The second goal came early in the second period when Romelu Lukaku tucked home an inviting low centre from Gerard Deulofeu, and Leon Osman wrapped things up three minutes from time when he belted home a great effort after Lukaku had teed him up.

When this game was played We used to think Naismith wasn’t good enough, Dustin was past it, osman was past it, Barry was past it, Gerry was to inconsistent, etc etc. What we’d give now to have that talent and more than anything desire. Dustin at 40 better than Keane is now

Mirallas, Lukaku, Barkley, Deulofeu, McGeady. Even Kone A was fast but sadly got injured.

При этом Ивоби, Делфа и Гбамена можно продать - они только занимают чье-то место. Рекомендовал бы рассмотреть приобретение Филипа Биллинга (Philip Billing) из Борнмута, Дениса Буанга (Denis Bouanga) из Сент-Этьена и Кристиана Торстведта (Kristian Thorstvedt) из Генка. Все клубы ищут усиление в зимнее окно и стараются подписать игроков! А у Эвертона проблемы в составе, которые боссы клуба пытаются решить приглашением тренера с опытом работы в Китае. Это смешно настолько, что аж глаз дергается!

Дан Петреску успешно выступал за Челси, знает Премьер Лигу и несколько языков, имеет дом в Лондоне. В качестве тренера имеет успехи в Восточной Европе и игру его команд я мог наблюдать. Мне нравилось то, что он выжимает максимум не имея в своей команде звезд и заходя в сезон имея в обойме 14-15 игроков. Команды Петреску играли в стиле похожем на тот, в котором Лестер брал чемпионство - строгость в обороне, быстрое перемещение мяча. А приглашая Перейру боссы Эвертона опять совершают большую ошибку, как и в случае с Бенитесом, хотя их предупреждали. У Мошири деньги ляжку жгут и хочется опять уволить тренера с выплатой за расторжение контракта?

This was some footballing team that Martinez produced off the backbone of Moyes defence, any other season 72 points gets you 4th
Makes me debate my existence when i watch what we used to be, well probably get turned over by Newcastle
