    THIS is why we gotta support content creators! This likely will save HOURS for those who assembled without putting the carriage trolley on first

      I appreciate you saying that. I definitely tried to avoid doing a typical review.

    I don't usually comment on videos but wanted to say that you did a great job with this review! Others haven't shown anything about the setup process, and I loved the Q&A at the end. Thanks for the video!

    Awesome review! I like how much you showed of the install, the other reviews didn’t show the install process and it’s great to know that you should put the trolley on first.
    Also, great answers to my questions plus all the other community questions. Keep it up, bro!

    You mentioned clearance for lat pull down but I’d love to see a measurement of the seat at the lowest position and when the cable ball thing starts when at the highest setting. I say atx have this measurement on one of their lat pulldown machines and I think it would help if this was normalized so we could compare

    just preordered mine so i wont get it till December but I'll try to keep everything you said in mind: oil the rod, make sure those guides are 90 degrees, add the cable pulley prior to constructing, and get a pin like you used to keep it from hitting the cable. Hopefully i didn't miss anything major. And by the time mine arrives I'll have more money for stuff like the pegboard 👍

    Best review out there so far. Sorry man one other question... I asked you earlier about cutting uprights to fit my bssement. Do you think if I wanted this just as a lat pulldown I can keep the top piece and not thread the cable through the trolley that moves up and down? The top part looks a little bit like the slinger and then that way the cable is on top of you vs out in front?

    I have a question: my gym is a building I had built that measures 16x20 with decent height ceilings. However there is a structural support beam going right down the middle when I’d like to eventually put either a Dane or possibly an Ares depending on my money situation and availability. The beam is 90” off the floor and only a single 2” beam. Will the Dane fit if I straddle the beam down the center of the rack?

    • @KaizenDIYGym
      @KaizenDIYGym  4 місяці тому

      That’s cutting it close but I think it should fit. That’s similar to my set up.

      The seat feels solid. I didn’t use it without the hitch pin but it should be fine.

    Which way do the numbers go on the bottom two braces in between the posts? 1 starting in the back to the front or the other way around? The directions are truly terrible :)

    • @KaizenDIYGym

  • @ak-zw8jv
    @ak-zw8jv 4 місяці тому

    Jealous this fits in your basement gym!!! I really wanted to buy this but my ceiling is only 90 inches. Im pretty handy... being a diy guy do you think this could be modified for a lower ceiling height

    • @KaizenDIYGym
      @KaizenDIYGym  4 місяці тому

      I thought about that a lot before actually assembling it in my gym. I think it is possible. You’d need to cut down the uprights and cut down the guide rods. Once you got the rack in place, you’d need to modify the length of the cables.
      There’s not a lot of room for error but it can be done.

    • @ak-zw8jv
      @ak-zw8jv 4 місяці тому

      @KaizenDIYGym awesome! Appreciate the response. Never sure if the guide rods are threaded if that would be an issue. I want this for a lat pulldown not really a ft and I'm short so not worried about rom.
