permanent filler. The product was medical grade silicon and it was done in a plastic surgeon's office by an expert injector. The staff highly recommended it and said it would save me money in the long run. I had no problems or issues UNTIL I asked for a little more in my upper lip. It ended up covering my upper teeth and made my smile look strange- especially in pictures. Next came the correction surgery that really fu&%ed up me up! The scar from the lip shave surgery pulled my upper lip down like a garbage bag when you tighten the string (when I smiled). Needless to say, my smile has pretty much been ruined from where it started. The countless steroid (Kenalog) injections in my upper lip, three lip lift surgeries (by a new doctor) and massaging the scar on my lip have improved things but I will never have the pretty smile I once had, and it has been 13 years. Moral of the story: don't do anything you can't back up from. Second moral of the story: learn the art of restraint; too much of a good thing might take you over the edge. Third: you are good enough just as you are!

Specially when they don’t know where”and when to stop until that point”they’ve seen what they did to themselves. Sad thing is on”the end they put blame on Dr.
I personally don’t like those people”who looks are all artificial” they don’t look their normal features. They don’t wanted to get older naturally. But they change everything what has God created” in them and their face features. So” so sad

Since I started watching your channel, I have changed my aesthetic treatment choices. I now wearSPF 50 every day, use a sun hat or a sunbrella, scaled back the Botox to a minimum, stopped getting filler, got PDO threads, upped my skincare to optimize for my skin type, stopped falling for specials at the med spa, started a small amount of hormones, and started really thinking intelligently about what I was doing. Finding a good practitioner has been essential. Thank you so much for all your helpful information. I appreciate your in-depth explanations. Now I look 10 years younger. I’m 45, and people think I’m in my early thirties. Thank you so much! I went from overfilled, puffy looking Hollywood housewife to someone that looks young, healthy and well proportioned. Worst procedures I have gotten? Years of too much filler in the lips and cheeks, causing a heavy, sagging lower face and downturned lip corners. A lot of med spas and plastic surgeons offices would just tell me to buy more syringes of filler. I can have my picture taken now and I look great,I recognize myself and look natural. Saving for a facelift to really turn back the clock and help undo 15 years of filler use/abuse. Also found a provider that said no to fillers of any kind at this point, gave me a realistic projection of what Nova threads could do, and what the limitations were. Thank goodness there are people out there who aren’t looking for the quickest way to make buck, but give you options and ideas🎉

@@AmbientSoundVibes Huge game changer was Nova threads. They are fairly expensive, but the outcome has been great. Also, I exercise like my life depends on it- I think you can get a ton of procedures, and you'll definitely see an improvement, but you have to put in a lot of work to keep your body looking great. I know people that try and lipo their way to a better body and the results are always limited, and usually less than what they had been expecting. None of us are perfect, and we are probably far more critical of ourselves than we are of others. So, I'm not where I want to be completely, but I'm feeling really confident. Watch his video on why fillers after 40 is a bad idea. He nails it : )

I agree with Joannlynne! I am 77 and up until I was 70 I had very few wrinkles. There is something to be said about aging gracefully. There was a time when I was vain too and did not want to lose by perfect figure and pretty face. Then I became a strong Christian and found that vanity is a sin. My mother had beautiful skin until she passed away at 94. I did too but as the good doctor said, the sun will destroy your skin. I loved the look of a great tan when I was younger, it looked so good with my blonde hair and blue eyes, but I was an athlete and out in the sun a lot. I'm just happy my granddaughters don't sun bath. As for breast implants, I did the opposite, I had a breast reduction in 2000 and it was the best thing I ever did.

They created a horrible inflammatory response that left me looking disfigured. I aged 20 hearts overnight. some of the threads also developed scar tissue over them which game me skin a bumpy appearance. A year later, I had a deep plane face lift and the doctor removed the existing threads. Years later, I am finally happy with my appearance.

I have to say that this video helped confirm that I’m pretty happy with the condition of my 71-year old skin and face. I have been playing with makeup for almost 60 years and, in that time, I have developed some skills that compensate for imperfections like disappearing eyebrows and uneven lips. It really doesn’t take much. The only procedure I might consider is some skin resurfacing around the marionette area which in my case aren’t even lines but more like a bit of crazing on either side of my chin. Good nutrition, adequate hydration and sunscreen may be literally saving my skin.

I enjoy your show because it amazes me to see what people can have done to their face. I am 70 and have always had a youthful face, so I haven’t wanted to do anything to it.
That said, at 35 I was in a serious auto accident and hit my forehead on the steering wheel, opening it from above brows to 2” up my scalp. As soon as my mother got the call that I was in the emergency room with head injury, she called a plastic surgeon who had done several medical (not esthetic) work on her. He met us at the emergency room and sewed up my gaping wound. Nowadays it is still in no way apparent unless you put your eye about an inch from my face!
So, hooray for plastic surgeon who CAN almost do miracles! And hooray for you and the information you share. ❤👍👩🏻‍🎨

Low carb, high fat helps with cellulite. It’s the low fat craze that has lead to a lot of women, even thin women, to have cellulite. Check out Dr. Elizabeth Bright on this. Many who have done the ketogenic or carnivore diets have also had their gray hair start to grow back in their original color. All of the processed foods, vegetable/seed oils, and grains we eat have really done a number on our bodies. What we attribute to aging is often at least partially, if not completely, due to diet. For example, while brown spots do come from sun damage, they also come from inside and AGEs caused by the food we eat, and many have seen them lighten by eating low carb. Other things: glycated and aging skin, loose skin (fasting and autophagy help with this). Also sorts of chronic skin conditions: cystic acne, psoriasis, eczema, skin tags, rosacea have all disappeared from eating a low carb diet and getting rid of insulin resistance/inflammation.

    Dr R🧡
Thank you for touching on all of these procedures. I want to yell at the screen when I see people recommending these. I see so many of them every day and the results are typically not good. Men and women are typically unhappy as you said. I see scars and track marks and countless infections. For me it’s just wiser to try natural alternatives first. The skin was not meant to be burned or have needles poked in it. Another issue is the fact that so may estheticians think they are physicians and do these procedures when they have no idea of what they are doing. In my opinion, if an aesthetician is truly a Master, she’s going to teach you how to do things naturally without pills or procedures. When and if you need a procedure, he or she’s going to send you to someone like you, a professional board certified cosmetic surgeon.
Most importantly, we need to teach people to love who they are, that it is normal to have a wrinkle is normal to not look like everyone else and it is normal to not have absolutely smooth perfect skin. Aging is a beautiful gift.

I was picked as a model multiple times, so I had the chance to try most of these treatments. The ones that left me with permanent scars were the plasma pen (around my eyes) and Fraxel (jawline). While I agree that nothing should be used lightly, I personally had very good results with the plasma pen around the eyes. Procedure was done by a professional with many years of experience, and 4 years later I’m still happy with the result. Biggest lesson learned: “Ladies DON’T PULL(!) your eyelids when applying the eyeliner or make up in general!”. I’m never again PULLING my skin, this isn’t said enough. Also with ‘pressure’ around the eyes, I’m only using the ring finger or pinky to apply any products around the eyes.

What works for one person doesn't work for another. Why should women live with wrinkles and a sagging face if they don't want too. If you are not interested in looking your best, why are you watching?
Each to their own, stop judging and live your own journey, we all have that choice.

I’ve always had very deep lines underneath my eyes. I got permanent filler and for the first time wasn’t insecure about the way I looked. The Dr did an amazing job. To give you an idea of just how deep of lines I have. I needed one full syringe 💉 under my right eye and half under my left eye. This was over 5 years ago so I need to get it done again. But please believe me when I tell you the difference was night and day.

Love your videos and warnings! The only disagreement I would have is about getting filler or under the eyes. I have a great injector and I didn’t start doing it until I was around 55 years old. Almost 60 now and I can’t tell you how much I love the results. No problems with it at all and I know if I did have a problem, I could get it dissolved.

The injector makes all the difference, and even with the best my body rejected it once. Other times the placement was horrible and I dissolved. Moved across the country from the only one who consistently got it right 😢 She used Belotero and I didn’t react and was very pleased. Now I’m very interested in PRF. Don’t want to try another injector for under eyes. Had fantastic results with PRP, but it only ever lasted 4 mos (done by same amazing injector that did undereye)

With DIY'ers, the plasma pen is the number 1 recommended procedure for the upper eye, and they all swear it has the most noticeable results. I've not seen one person who has regretted this self-done procedure. I was about to do this now I won't. Thank you I think you may have saved my face.

Think twice about doing it around the eyes if you are prone to malasma or darkening spots around the eyes. Burning your skin will only worsen this discoloration. .

I had this done by an aesthetician friend trained in it use. To be honest, it was uncomfortable and I looked like hell for a few days but it didn’t cause any permanent damage but it didn’t work to lift my eyelids either. I wouldn’t do it again

Well I regret it. It distryed the tissue on my eyelids and I ended up way worse than before. Also the spots showed as whole on my eyes for years ( not lying).

My sister had amazing results. So I tried it. Wish I could post photos here. It was so bloody sore. I looked like a bus hit me for a week. And I still have scars on my eyelids. It's been 2 years. Never again. It did literally nothing.

hallelujah. I have only gotten forehead and crowsfeet botox, and I have been pleased with both. having said that, since watching you and another YT channel, I am not having any botox and just using caster oil undereyes especially, but allover, and 'Frownies' on forehead, which I'd like smoother, but WOW! the caster oil results are crazy good! Thanks for that!

My mother had a thread lift done in Florida where she lives. And it failed a few years later. When she went back to complain she found out the place she had it done at went out of business and she couldn't get any information about where they went. Moral of the story, don't mess with your face.

They just change the name of the company. I’m sure they are still there. I just can’t believe all the uneducated people providing such services. Flordia has the most lax laws when it comes to any malpractice. I think that’s why the business is so booming down there. You would think they have such high demand that the experience is there but it’s not the case at all.

Great segment Dr. Rajani! I gave up tox as it was causing muscle atrophy and the dreaded eye drooping. I looked angry all the time haha.....I think something that should have been mentioned is at home TCA chemical peels as I see many people burning themselves because they are told to leave it on till it "frosts" or do 3 layers, etc. bad advice from untrained professionals. I followed this advice and ended up with a severe 2nd degree burn to the neck my skin never quite bounced back after that.....after a year I am still trying to fix the mess I created.....
