    Hi Rob. Awesome, magnificent, outstanding ...., I could go on for quite more words to discribe your job. 🙂 Even I could learn from it, watching you doing that. I got an idea from this clip, but sadly I am missing a Band-Saw and a Turning-Machine. But I figured already out, to get it done without those Machines 😉 Ride on Rob, keep the good contents comming... 🙂 Sadly I could give you only one Like and not a few hundreds! 😎😎😎

    You know what I think I am going to get on with a HO routed track over summer. Might see if I can borrow a router. I like how you used the track as a template, really handy tip. This build was epic, loved it from start to finish! ❤

    • @SwiftSlots
      @SwiftSlots  7 місяців тому

      Thank you 🙂 Using the track came from the original idea of using Scalextric track, and as you say, actually using pre-made track does make things a little simpler for laying out a track plan. Good luck 🙂

    • @ianquay3386
      @ianquay3386 2 місяці тому

      One added piece of advice: the bit you'll use on HO track slots is a 1/16" (1/32 and 1/24 tracks are 1/8") single or double flute - preferably double. You'll pay a little more for the double flute, but it'll last longer and give you a cleaner cut. Best of luck!

      @@lewisfroud81 The track rails are simply joined together in any way you want. I connected mine on this build with a bus bar and then put + through once latch and - through the other, see 19:30 . The wiring can be found here slotcarcorner.com/pages/track-wiring

    • @SwiftSlots
      @SwiftSlots  4 місяці тому

      Thanks, we call it Bum Bead in cabinet making, but it's basically just 'moulding' you can buy it in 8 foot lengths from most DIY shops. I think the one I used on RV was 40mm high. The one I used on CV was only 30mm and I had to lift it up with a 5mm packer and it's still a little low. So aim for 4 ribs at 40mm high 🙂
