What I like the most about these videos is the connection between an uncle and nephew. Ryan you are making your uncle so happy just by spending time together. It really is a wholesome interaction between you two.
That doesn’t take away from the knowledge and tutorials Jim is sharing with the modeling community. Great content guys keep it up.
Ryan I think a separate series where you make a layout from scratch would be very cool with the help of Jimmy.
Thank you so much!
At 20:50 the step down from the flag man booth ..Those 4 railroad tie lookin steps are PERFECTION ! Well Done & Well Thought of....
Thanks! The real gain isn't the money saving; it's the fact that 'real' looks better!
You are right Gale. More than the money saved is the rush you get doing it all yourself! And it does look better. Thank you for following Lunch King. Please forward our work to your friends and family!
WOW! No more days spent in making different rock formations. I will head to the country Monday to get a few boxes of gravel. Thanks for another great idea.
Glad our video motivated you Steve. Makes me happy.
The guys are planning more videos in the near future so go back and subscribe to LK and share with your friends. Thanks again my friend!
Thank's for showing us that with time and patience what a MASTERPIECE of a racetrack would look like thank's peace.
Peace to you too Jim. Thanks for the nice words my friend. Thank you for following Lunch King. Please forward our work to your friends and family!

Super idea for modelling, im on a budget and its wonderful to see ideas like this ...Greetings from Northern Europe...Harry
Thank you and greeting from frozen Michigan
Wonderful ideas and application! Thank you for sharing!!!
This is absolutely fantastic guys , what a race track
I watched your videos all afternoon long and enjoyed every minute of it. I can remember when a slot car track existed near by back in the mid 70’s when I was a kid something I haven't seen in years. Have you ever considered a car with a small camera mounted in or on it to capture another prospective of your masterpiece of a track? Another consideration would be to put small cell phone cameras around the track itself, as if you didn’t have enough to do.
Well Sam we did just that a while ago and Ryan and Derick added the video from that small camera car to the Lunch King channel. Go check it out. Thank you for following Lunch King. Please forward our work to your friends and family!
Amazing layout!
I love your idea of sifting to get different sizes. Great idea, thanks!
Sure thing Ray. There is a certain sense of satisfaction when after you've glued what you've sifted down and you know you made it all yourself. Thank you for following Lunch King. Please forward our work to your friends and family!
Great info. What an artisan!
Thanks Lance for your kind words. Thank you for following Lunch King. Please forward our work to your friends and family!
Great video!! I’m at my Father in Law’s cottage this weekend, I’m looking for scenery stuff to save when I go back to working on my track in October.
You know By that the planning and scrounging is half the fun. The guys are planning more videos in the near future so go back and share with your friends. Thanks again my friend!
another great video. I don't have much artistic vision with all this stuff ( I couldn't lay that track out) but it looks great & i love the hands on approach for your materials . so much more hands on than just going out & buying everything . you have many skills .
I used the same screening technique to screen out stone from a bag of cement to use in patching a stuccoed exterior wall that we had to open up.we glued the stone on with ceramic tile thinset and then thinned some down to brush in to replicate many layers of paint filling voids etc. after it was painted the customer couldn't see the repair
Thanks for commenting John. You gave me an idea here. Maybe a short cut to sifting the fine stuff could be using a cheap cement or mortar mix from the hardware! The guys are planning more videos in the near future so go back and subscribe to LK and share with your friends. Thanks again for your input friend!
@@jimmyattard1446 if you went the route of using mortar or cement, maybe a light mist of water over top would be all you need to do to bond it together
Thank you for interesting information!!!
Thank you for sharing another amazing video 👍
I’m gathering stuff at my Father in Law’s cottage this weekend to have it ready for Autumn, when I go back to working on my scenery.
Great video! This looks amazing once applied.
Man, this is really awesome stuff. It’s as awesome as Ryan’s T-shirt! )Love to get my hands on one of those.) Down in Missouri our rocks are completely different. But plentiful and easy to get at any creek. Would make mine more natural using the creek gravel in this area. You’ve now given me ideas how to cover up all the bare foam board I have on my track.😁🏎💨
Great Brandon. Very glad our video inspired ideas. The planning is half the fun.
The guys are planning more videos in the near future so go back and subscribe to LK and share with your friends. Thanks again friend!
So glad you enjoyed the video! Jimmy shares lots of great stuff! (It’s one of my favorite shirts for sure 😄)
Awesome stuff. I’m sure many of these techniques can be applied to other scale model projects 🌴👍👍😎🌴
You are right Dave. I think guys making war dioramas can see the benefits too. Thanks for your comment.
The guys are planning more videos in the near future so go back and subscribe to LK and share with your friends. Thanks again friend!
Congratulations! Please we need more videos with better quality and with panoramic view! And please give us footage from your races, or even better make live streaming! Is so much to ask???😂😂😂
No we are working on better equipment and trying to find the right spot to video while racing with a lot of people is going on - thank you for watching
Great inspiration and motivation to share my track with others. I would appreciate your advice on "staying in the slot". It seems tires and guides are a big factor. Do you replace all your tires (expensive) or just true and/or treat tires? On guides, do you replace or is there a inexpensive trick for extending the short ones (mostly Scalextric) to help on a woods track? Thanks. Dave in California
Those are great points Dave. I do a few tricks to the cars mostly to get them to run dependable. Speed is nice to have but stability makes for more door to door action which I love watching. I will talk to Ryan about doing a video on it. Thank you for following Lunch King. Please forward our work to your friends and family!
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
👍👍👍👍👍👍❤❤👍👍👍👍👍👍
Going through all that detail, why leave the base on the figures? It looks out of place. Cut those bases off.
Right Ellis I fully intended to but for two things...1. Seeing the bases makes me remember my track as a kid. 2. I can move figures around and create even better viniates when ever I need to. 3. The camera magnifies this unrealistic imperfection, but you hardly notice the bases when viewing the track in person.
Thank you for following Lunch King. Please forward our work to your friends and family!
Oops... Ellis, make that 3 things.
