Peaceful for sure. Enjoy it and let it de-stress you, and ground you, just as it has us. You can be happy anywhere, but you can't necessarily be content and joyful. Sounds like you're waking up! We miss Braums!! Make those friends! You will need them going forward and You will be there for them, too. You are going to learn a whole lot in building a homestead, including how to pace yourself and become patient with yourself. I leave my phone all the time now. I work online from here during the day, but at 3:30pm it's time to go outside and forget it.

Aleve my friend. Plenty of water. Rest breaks every so often. Here I'm 69 going on 70 in a few months.
It is relaxing in a way to be out in nature. Yes, this our new outlet.

Just found your channel today. I’m moving towards off grid lifestyle with many components already in place. Save every piece of wood you cut, even tiny tree limbs can be used in a bbq grill for cooking. Bigger pieces can heat your home with a wood stove also provide a cooking surface.
I’m also divorced, this lifestyle keeps me busy and my mind off of other things.
Best of luck, look forward to seeing what you do

Awesome! Welcome aboard. I'm trying to post weekly updates but it is tough with everything going on right now. But once I start actually living out there I should be able to post more content quickly.

Just finished watching your series, Got a laugh as you realize you need a tractor. My wife and I are in the process of getting our place together little bit by little bit. We also have about twenty years on you and when we bought a few years ago it didn't take long to realize how a tractor really is needed. She was a bit worried about leaving it on the property but I was able to find the garage in a box at Northern Tool for an inexpensive storage. Its been in use for 4 years now and very happy that it has held up. So as a suggestion I would look into that option for when you do get your tractor.

Less than ideal diet is the primary cause of bodily deterioration. "Vegetable" oils and sugar are some of the worse stuff we can put in our body. They are not whole foods.
In 1997, when I was 40 years old, I cleared 2400 square feet of land in preparation for building a greenhouse. It was arduous work. I've learned since then that a *Whole Food diet* is what keeps my body healthy. My knees started going out around 2010. I cut *sugar* out of my diet and then adopted a Whole Food diet. Little by little that healed my knee joints to where I can fully squat, and go up and down stairs without pain.

I am trying to do that, as well. It is very difficult as 95% of the food sold in stores is full of inflammatory preservatives, seed oils, "plant based" products that are harmful, corn syrup, and sugar.
