- Опубліковано 10 лип 2024
- In this video, I will offer my experience and opinions on who is lying to you in the lithium deep cycle battery market. Unfortunately, there is a ton of confusion and it is almost impossible to tell quality between brands... at least on paper. So where are the lies and confusion coming from and how do you deal with it? #lithiumbattery #lithiumbatteries #gradeb

The Docan Power company is the biggest grade B seller in the world. If you see Docan its a grade B, they also have many youtube sales people, not surprised to see the cells you purchased have been sanded off then a counterfeit qr code put in its place.
The dishonesty is the problem, for sure.
2:16 "very strict Chinese laws and regulations" LMFAO!!!!!
This is actually very true, they were forced to do so because too many EVs would burn down and cause fires, lastly all of these companies also have the UL 1642 certification for there cells which is a US and globally recognize standard. Grade B do not qualify.
Its actually true. I never thought I would say that phrase, myself.
@@LDSreliance Regulations are strict everywhere. Just depends on if they're being enforced properly.
@@roginutah That is true, but it seems that they are actually serious about this one as all of the major cell manufacturers are complying with it.
The Chinese government is strict about laws that affect the Chinese public, they could care less about the rest of the world though !
My flashlight is one of the places I need the best. I can handle less reliability and capacity in other places but when I'm down to a flashlight that means something already happened and I'm probably fixing something.
Agreed. I trust they are 18650 or 26650 powered?
@@LDSreliance Most I have are 18650.
Nice. Those are good for EDC. I like the 26650 for camping. They can run forever.
@@LDSreliance Any tips on where to find legit 26650 batteries or a good brand? I hate when they lie about capacity.
Shockli 5500mAh. The flashlight guys... excuse me, "torch" guys... all rave about it.
Thank you!
You are welcome. Thanks for watching!
thank you for this information. it lets people make an informed decision. i'm building a power station next year and this is helping me choose what battery im going to get.
You are welcome. That is all I am shooting for. Companies need to let their consumers know what they are buying so they can make an informed decision.
Great info.
Thanks!
Do a future video on how to tell if your battery is grade A or B. Maybe you can demonstrate a few tests how to tell?
I can try. It is notoriously difficult and people who have tried in the past have failed miserably and really done a lot of damage spreading misinformation around.
@@LDSreliance so there isn't a big difference between the performance of A and B grade batteries? Not enough to be able to test and see? Interesting!
Its complicated. The difference CAN be subtle if it is not far out of spec or tested at a low load or tested immediately after charging, etc. But if you know what you are looking for you can see the differences.
Have you seen the SFK testing videos on this? They have some really great test equipment that I can't afford (many thousands of dollars) that really show the difference in performance. Here are a few that I would highly recommend watching. Might help in your channel, too.

3:24... docan... what a surprise... 🙄
No comment!
Is millertech using Eve cells?
Yes, EVE and Gangfeng cells.
Hi I have a solar inverter
48v
Maximum VDC 430
Isc 27 A
And i have 575 watt solar panel
Vmp 42.22
Voc 50.22
Isc 14.39
Imp 13.62
And I have/12 panels can I install all 12 panels to this inverter in a 6+6 series string?
Jason, regrettably I don't have time to answer all such questions as these in the comments. I do provide half hour blocks of consulting time on my web store if you are interested in some professional help with your design: store.ldsreliance.com/products/solar-consulting
@@LDSreliance Yes I am interested thank you I will check the website
I just discounted it for you, if that helps you out.
@@LDSreliance appreciate 👍🏾 I love to get solar knowledge all day I just read about the solar system and then get stuck on some point which I don't understand makes me disheartened and does not solve my question so for that I need professionals like you to get my question answer Thank you
Soo- who’s the crook here, the Chinese company or Amazon?
Yes.
Is there a difference, Amazon is the official retailer of the CCP.
Judging by the head gear being worn by the men, and women at the Millertech facility, it would appear that they are Amish, Mennonite, or one of the several other like religious groups in the states.
If so, it does seem a little ironic that people of a faith that do not believe in using any modern technology themselves, would be working in a business such as manufacturing, and selling lithium batteries!
They are Amish and that seems to be a common misconception about their beliefs. I can't pretend to be an expert but they are very savvy with machinery and off grid everything (battery power, DC appliances, etc.).
I see Amish employees.
Yes. MillerTech is an Amish owned and operated company
The puppy-mill breeders of batteries!
yup like some usa like dakota is charging like 400+ extra on their batteries keep seeing thier ads.... im fine with B battery for my needs most now is just best to buy the made ones already instead of DIY and its cheaper but then again if you need a bigger BSM its best to make your own depending on your needs .. but yeah most this so called A cells they saying is very hard to believe... all about $$$$ ill be happy if i even get 5 years spending 200$ on a 12v 100ah for my needs
I purchased 2 ReDoDo 100ah batteries within the last 2 years for a solar backup generator. The same battery is now $100 cheaper. I think it is because of B grade cells.
Well it isn't because Grade A prices have dropped in that time frame, that is for sure!
