- In today's episode we're in Rogersville, Tennessee at a place called The Carnival Cafe, where they offer a cheesesteak challenge like no other...
Diners get one hour in which to eat a giant sandwich chocked full of sirloin steak, cheese, peppers and onions, inside a three foot long bun. Get it down inside the allotted time and not only is the $60 meal FREE, but you get a framed photograph on their wall of fame and a $50 gift card for future use. The cool thing about this one is that each time the challenge is beaten, it gets a half pound heavier (which explains the difference in size in each of the pictures on the wall at the back of the restaurant).

@@lebowskii98_9He’s probably making more money through merchandise and other social media. Ads haven’t been the main source of revenue in a while, most creators have something else in place, like a merch store or a patreon. Might have to buy one of those shirts!

I used to work here before i went to college and these were some of the best bosses ive ever worked for. They are genuinely good people always makes everyone feel welcome. Always wanted you to come down and try the challenge sad i missed it , but still glad i got to see you do it online.

I don't know if either of these are a reason for your issues, but certain nutrient deficiencies and gluten intolerance can be linked with loss of appetite. Just sharing in case it helps you, but glad to hear you're doing better recently.

There's something very wholesome about these small town places you visit. Simple, but delicious food. Flag on the wall. Makes me wonder why every time I've visited the States I've been to big cities like NY and LA.

NY and LA is the US you usually see on the news and what forms foreigners opinions of the states. Real America is a totally different place. I lived in SE Missouri and NW Arkansas now Hawaii. People are amazing, the best you could hope to meet.
The US has a little of everything. We even have big cities, small towns, vast plains and mountains. It's hard to convince really. I recommend checking out the Appalachian mountains on the East Coast. Beautiful and MASSIVE in length, tons of trails and countless quaint mountains towns.
Loved the young lady working at the counter, she was so pleasant and seemed genuinely excited.

I grew up with the owners of this restaurant. I have not been able to see them since they moved down south. Thanks to your video I got to see them. With how fast you were able to finish the challenge I would have to say you probably could have eaten 1 - 2 more. That is very impressive.

The Appalachian region of Western NC and East Tennessee has some of the most beautiful country and nicest people one could encounter. The Great Smoky Mountains region is a magical place which is probably why it is the most visited National Park in the US with 11.3 million visitors in 2023. Hope that Beard enjoys touring the area and shattering food records. Still looking forward to the Beard vs. Joey Chestnut showdown. Hopefully they can make it happen.
