Great video and glad to see you get some spice in your life. My understanding is that Enchiladas = corn tortillas, burritos = flour tortillas, wet is just sauce added to the burrito.
That bottle of honey was meant for the Sopaipilla. You didn't have to eat it all or anything, but you traditionally put honey on Sopaipillas. Well done man. That looked delicious.

Much better than the other competitive eaters that just keep flapping their jaws and bragging. Then they ask for a garbage can to throw up in. YOU ROCK ADAM!!!!
One of the main differences between enchiladas and burritos is that the enchilada is usually made with corn tortillas and the burrito is made with flour. The second difference between the two is that you eat enchiladas with a fork. They are covered in (smothered with) sauce. Burritos can be hand held food.
Incorrect. It depends on what part of Mexico you are from. Northern Mexico uses flour (or wheat) tortillas, whereas the south uses corn tortillas. I all comes down to the availability. Just like in the southern portion of Mexico you will find fish as the main meat staple. It is almost a 50/50 ratio. The same goes with burritos. My step-family is from Mexico and many still reside all over the country.
And enchiladas are baked and have crispy ends and melted cheese, burros (if not deep fried) are like a sandwich with a soft flour tort instead of bread :)
Enchiladas are usually corn tortillas, and burritos are flour; enchiladas have open ends, and burritos are closed; and enchiladas are baked with the ingredients inside, whereas for a burrito the tortilla is cooked separately and then ingredients are put in it and rolled up. Good stuff, now I'm hungry 🙂
@@iamtheteapot7405 that's highly unusual. I've never seen enchiladas made with flour tortillas... and I have seen (and eaten) many! I've heard from Google that they exist, though.

Hoping someone had mentioned this. Love those lil pockets of goodness, but definitely gotta have that honey. And enchiladas are typically made with a corn tortilla rather than the big flour tortillas that burritos are made with.

I’m Mexican, a burrito is with flour tortilla meat cheese rice beans and veggies. An enchilada is with corn tortilla chicken and Chile salsa that’s why the name is enchilada because of the Chile, enchiladas are spicy burritos are not. I hope this helps ❤ 🌯
The sopapilla is kinda hollow inside, which makes it ideal to fill it full of honey. That’s why they brought that big bottle out to you lol. You would have absolutely freaked at how good that is.
@@lisakukla459 $10 worth of honey, and thousands of dollars worth of diabetes. Best to have them brought to you at the end, and eat them hot, with a moderate serving of honey.
I was wondering why you didn’t pour the sauces over the chips to soften them up! Also, Enchilada: Meat or cheese wrapped in corn tortillas and baked with an enchilada sauce (usually red or green). Burrito: variety of ingredients (usually beans, rice, cheese, meat, salsa, etc) wrapped in a flour tortilla. Wet burrito has sauce on top, making it a bit more similar to an enchilada, but the contents are still different.
Ahh! You forgot the honey to put inside the sopapilla! Sometimes they are also served with whipped cream and even Ice Cream. So, Corn tortillas are most traditionally used for enchiladas, have seen both corn and flour enchiladas, but I think its more that the corn tortilla will hold together better than a flour tortilla after being baked in enchilada sauce. Burritos are more a hand held thing, but a wet burrito, as this was, is just a Burrito served with a sauce over it. I make my Cheese Enchilads with corn tortillas, minced onion, Muenster cheese and occasionally add cheddar cheese, and Mole' sauce is my preferred sauce. Sometimes I add shredded chicken inside, but mostly just cheese.
This is awesome, I never expected you to be in Oklahoma doin food challenges. Glad our food has thrown you for a loop with taste and difference of challenge instead of just being a burger or breakfast n such.

Enchiladas are made with corn tortilla beef or chicken cheese with red or green sauce you can have them flat or rolled. Burrito is flour tortilla with various ingredients cheese on top optional. The soda is great with the honey you tear a corner off the pour honey in.

Wow thanks Beard i was really struggling with anxiety and ptsd today but your videos have really helped turn it around great energy and lovely places and people i think a lot people like stuff like this because its kind of a way of traveling the world and seeing different people and food its cool
🤣 at 7:39 you see the waitress in the back showing another employee your strategy of grabbing the tortilla, slapping it down on the fillings, and grabbing it up. Too funny
Whenever you get tortilla chips, pour the salsa and cheese over it immediately and they'll get soft. (Sour cream too if you want to) A burritos has numerous ingredients wrapped in tortillas and topped with cheese. An enchilada is usually just meat with an enchilada sauce (green or red) poured over the top. They are rolled and much smaller than a burrito. The sopapilla is a piece of dough deep fried until it puffs up. Fill it with a bit of honey.
He didn’t used to. Watching his older videos on the channel is a trip lol. I think people started commenting about it so that’s why he started getting so stickler on eating every crumb 😂
You did great on this challenge. But to answer some questions and some unasked questions… Nachos are tortilla chips with toppings added on them. A burrito is a tortilla with toppings rolled inside. A wet burrito is the same thing with toppings and or sauces on top as well. An enchilada can be a flour or corn tortilla tightly, wrapped with filling covered with enchilada sauce, and baked. Oh, and you’re supposed to put honey inside the Sopaipilla, that’s why it was next to you.
Wow! Growing up and eating at Ted’s every Friday, NEVER expected to see you there 😂 Had no idea they even had a challenge! Clearly they need to work on their promotion of it 😅
@@Beardmeatsfood I guess that's what you get when you have been going there your whole life and never look at a menu because you already know what you want (same thing as the week before, and the week before, and the week before...) 😂
So, what is the difference between a burrito and an enchilada? Generally, burritos are made out of flour tortillas, while enchiladas are made from corn tortillas. Burritos are larger and can be eaten by hand, while enchiladas are smothered in sauce and cheese and typically eaten with a fork and knife....This is according to Foodsguy😁😁
The major difference is in the type of tortilla and how the tortilla and the fillings are served. While both have similar ingredients and sauces, burritos almost always use flour tortillas, while enchiladas use corn tortillas. Enchiladas are smothered in sauce, while burritos are wrapped up and eaten with the hands. You are so fun to watch. Thank you for the entertainment. D from NE Texas USA.
I know this video was posted awhile back but I just discovered this channel. My wife and I had our first date at this very same restaurant, Ted’s. I’m enjoying your content. Keep it up!
Gotta pour the sauce on the chips and let them sit until they are soggy. They looked hard to force down. Love watching your videos, just started recently, thanks for the awesome content.
☝🏻💁🏻♀️buritto's are folded(flour tortilla) and a fried burrito is a chimichanga while they both may be wet OR dry...enchiladas are rolled(corn or flour) and ALWAYS wet...both can be stuffed with whatever your heart desires IF an enchilada married a burrito then their offspring would be an enchirito😉👍🏻
Enchiladas are often made with corn tortillas that lightly fried so they are a little but more malleable when roiling them into enchilada because they tend to tear when folding or rolling. Some Enchiladas are made with flower tortillas for a softer kid-friendly style that usually only has cheese in it, After the enchiladas are rolled with their meat and cheese stuffing they are rolled open ended (burritos are usually folded closed at one or both ends) and then placed down with many others in a casserole, with enchilada sauce and topped with more cheese. With the enchiladas submerged in the sauce, it's then baked in the oven to reduce that sauce. A wet burrito is just a burrito with sauce added on top and served.. it's not baked nor does it use enchilada sauce.
Enchiladas are typically eaten with a fork and knife because there is usually some kind of sauce on top of the tortilla shell. Burritos do not have sauce on top of it which is why they can eat it by hand when you cannot do it with enchiladas.
I want to give you a helpful hint for your next pizza challenge. Leave about 1 inch of pizza by the crust, then fold it over the crust before you eat it. It will moisten up the crust and make it tastier.
Lmao “i thought it would have a filling or something but no just air”. I’m sitting here screaming at the screen use the honey next to you it’s amazing!!!

The amount of burrito he ate in the first 3 minutes consuming that (then pausing for a napkin break) was just AWESOME.
the air pocket in sopapillas is for the honey you're supposed to put in them. almost like a dessert.
Traditionally I think the sopapillas are eaten with honey. That’s how I’ve always eaten them. You’re missing half the experience. Awesome as always!
and still warm from being cooked........ Mmmmmm
Yeah, and they gave him a big bottle, you can see it sitting there on the table. I guess they forgot to tell him to use it. Beard, you gotta come back and try the sopapillas with honey!!!
I like Chilean sopaipillas (note the i) with mustard. They're savory. They do have a sweet version too called sopaipillas pasadas with an orangey buttery molasses sauce
My sister in law taught me a recipe that includes a whipped cream cheese and honey, it’s insanely delicious, and we usually serve it at breakfast.
Wow thanks Beard i was really struggling with anxiety and ptsd today but your videos have really helped turn it around great energy and lovely places and people i think a lot people like stuff like this because its kind of a way of traveling the world and seeing different people and food its cool
OMG, I've been watching way too much Beard. When they said basket of chips, I was expecting a bunch of French fries.
Want to see more employee reactions lol!! Love this channel!!!
Love the way you arnt cocky and the disbelief in when they found out you’re cleaning the plate 😂
I would have poured the sauces on the chips and let them get soggy to start but I doubt I could hit the time limit either way. Great episode!
(Sour cream too if you want to)
A burritos has numerous ingredients wrapped in tortillas and topped with cheese. An enchilada is usually just meat with an enchilada sauce (green or red) poured over the top. They are rolled and much smaller than a burrito. The sopapilla is a piece of dough deep fried until it puffs up. Fill it with a bit of honey.
The honey is there to fill/top the sopapilla! Great job, Beard!
Dude you usually fold and roll food, but it was hilarious to watch you eat one chip at a time! 😂
I would have thought he'd have smashed them and then eaten the crumbs.
I love how Beard eats every poured piece ! )) so honest in every meal!
He didn’t used to. Watching his older videos on the channel is a trip lol. I think people started commenting about it so that’s why he started getting so stickler on eating every crumb 😂
It hurt to watch you eat the sopapilla without the honey she gave you 😂
Beard & Ted's Excellent Tex Mex Adventure!
Clearly they need to work on their promotion of it 😅
i think it's cool that they don't really do it for the social media clicks, more for the fun of it...it's all over the menu though haha
Wow, I would pay the 25 bucks and be making burritos at home for a few days! Great value right there for sure
Smashed it!!
I see Dina from ‘Superstore’ has a new job at Teds 😝
I know this video was posted awhile back but I just discovered this channel. My wife and I had our first date at this very same restaurant, Ted’s. I’m enjoying your content. Keep it up!
Hope you're enjoying our great state! Very impressive how you just smash these challenges. It's cool to see it done so quick and clean!
"You're still eating?" was really funny 😅 The challenge looks amazing. Really messy but delicious. You did a great job Beard 🙂
I'm binge watching you and these challenges. I'm just trying to get my head around where are you putting all this.
Gotta pour the sauce on the chips and let them sit until they are soggy. They looked hard to force down. Love watching your videos, just started recently, thanks for the awesome content.
I thought the same thing
Omg 😱 noooo you make sure they stay crispy.
My mouth would be in shreds after eating all those nachos.
You eat my whole meal in one bite 😂 I am living vicariously through you, because I have difficulties with food. Thank you for your videos ❤
☝🏻💁🏻♀️buritto's are folded(flour tortilla) and a fried burrito is a chimichanga while they both may be wet OR dry...enchiladas are rolled(corn or flour) and ALWAYS wet...both can be stuffed with whatever your heart desires
IF an enchilada married a burrito then their offspring would be an enchirito😉👍🏻
Saw you chewing the tortilla chips on the way out and couldn’t believe her eyes 😂
Way to go, Beard! That looks like a great challenge.
You definitely didn't seem on full attack in that one but still conquered it with ease. Good work!
I like how he’s using the last tortilla like a napkin! That’s awesome!
Watched almost every episode, this is the only one I think I can finish
You gotta hit that sopapilla with the powder sugar and then fill it with the honey, man! Thats the proper way!
LOVING all your Oklahoma content! I live in the OKC area, and Ted's is my favorite restaurant!
good choice!
beardmeatfood is secretly quite normal. tom's reaction to his
"Are you still eating!?! You're not full?!" Best part IMO.
Yum Teds! Good job and great video as always! Sad you missed the honey!
i'm sad too haha
You're supposed to fill the sopapilla with the honey, it taste WAY better that way 😋
You have been keeping it a lot cleaner and thank you for that makes it so I can keep my lunch down
Has Adam ever told us about his workout routine and/or normal diet? Its amazing how he stays in such good shape!
He did a podcast, I cant remember but it might be the happy hour podcast. Anyway he talks about how hes trained himself over years and fasts a lot.
If you look through some of his older videos he explains it all thoroughly
Fasting and calories control 👍🏽
@@jackdaknife Yessir I looked it up, calorie restriction for the week and some fasting :)
Yes, fasting and calorie control...
He barfs it up afterwards,, just like all the other competitive eaters.
