Randy is the man. So cool you guys have him on your show.
Randy is a great storyteller. It was awesome to hear his tales. I think pretty much every day of his life constitutes a good car story.

Light, short wheelbase and lots of general rear wheel traction... until you drive in anger, the traction is gone and you bin it.
I've never driven a Viper so I've never managed to spin one around but I have had more than enough experience with the situation above, so I know what that feels like. In my experience: mid engine car + lift oversteer makes for a very, very tight pucker factor.
Once something like that starts to get unsettled, you're usually screwed because by the time you realize it's going around, you're already there and might as well just hang on for the ride.
So him being a pro, knowing he has to push it and knowing he's right on that edge of grip and _snot on glass_ level slide, it'd be one hell of a nerve-wracking run.
You actually have to drive them and they will bite you without warning. Nothing wrong with what he said at all. Some people like me are just psychos that like cars that will murder you in a millisecond without warning.
Had a 2004 Viper that was an absolute handful when compared to my C5 Z06 at the time. I sold it after two months because I had a feeling it would end up failing me under the worst circumstances. Only the ACR was an exception, otherwise, I heard people say the Viper has numb steering. Although I don't have one, but it's pretty understandable for the truck V10.
I don't get one thing. How's that channel doesn't have already milions of subscribers? The effort they put to make them is enough! One of the best car related channels (if not just the best). Well done guys, keep it up!

I love listening to this man and hearing his stories! Seeing how his face lights up when he remembers something, and chuckles, is so awesome, because you know what he's saying is genuine and true! I hope he will be on this channel many many more times
I´ve been seeing youtube videos since youtube existed basically, but this is my first comment ever. For someone who just likes cars, just gets basic enjoyment of driving them this channel is just about the literal thing I would imagine I would answer if someone asked me what kind of thing would I like to see on youtube. I could sit and listen to him explain the handling characteristics of the cars he has driven all day long. Such a fantastic driver himself but at same time able to communicate the little things that determine time / speed results.

This channel is so cool
These stories remind me about my truck on dirt. You can just be mid-drift, Like full on sideways, and just let go of the wheel and throttle, and it will center itself. It will even center back up if it overcorrects the first time, provided there's enough road.

- Where would you say those of us that DON'T have a million cars at their finger tips should go to learn about car handling dynamics? It's easy to find out how to eek 1, 000hp out of a little four-banger but man...finding how to tune a suspension? Good luck!
- Can you PLEASE beg the camera guys to do a BTS!?! I would LOVE to see how they rig the cars up for video and audio!!

Randy says his first lap is mostly the best lap because "the tires are fresh". I'm no racing driver but I always heard and thought it's the opposite - you go easy few laps so brakes and tires warm up. Also good tires don't wear down after one lap (if you don't go mental on them ofc). Anyone care to explain?
Kuba No he explained it right you gotta be more careful your breaks aren't as good and it takes longer to speed up since the tire lost alot of grip
But like I said warm tires = more grip (especially racing tires) and warm brakes = better braking (unless they start to overheat ofc).
