"The Noose" from A Perfect Circle's "Thirteenth Step" album (2003).
Ahhhhh... my favourite A Perfect Circle. It has been my favourite for about 15 years now and I was a little bit afraid that transcribing it would ruin my appreciation for this song, but it hasn't. It's still one of the most atmospheric songs I know of. Anyway, the intro is a weird one. The notes are very weird, but the timing is even weirder. I'm also convinced that the used 2 or even 3 different bass tracks at once during the intro and the verses. That higher line around the 19th fret during the verses plays on while the bass drops to some serious low notes at 2:57. That's some evidence I guess.

Is there a way to tune it differently for a 5 string bass?
I guess you could play it in standard tuning on a 5 string. Or put a capo on the 2nd fret and you'll also have C# Standard.
This is honestly one of my favorite songs. Why do you actually down tune for this song? Seems just as easy on a 5 string standard tuning.
Cause I want things to be accurate. Most people don't even own a 5 string bass so it's pointless to tab it for a 5 string bass. Also my favourite song though :)
@@LeoBassCovers2 cool. Begrijpelijk als je dat doet voor anderen. Maar bij mij werkt het de andere kant op. Ik heb toevallig ook een corvette 5 snaar. En dan zoek ik naar coole liedjes voor een 5 snaar. Omdat ik van Prog hou kom ik vaak bij jou terecht maar dan moet ik nummers weer omzetten naar B standaard. Voelt vreemd omdat ik praktisch dezelfde bas in handen heb.
Was net ook leuk ouwehoeren in je livestream. Had ook ff je Spotify gechecked. Hele fijne muziek. Zing jij dat?
Yeah.. dat snap ik ook wel. Parabola is het enige nummer op m'n channel die ik voor 4 and 5 snaar heb gecovered. Hmm.. misschien een idee om een 5-string playlist te maken. En yes! Ik doe de zang, bas, irish bouzouki en soms de gitaar.
@@LeoBassCovers2Heel vet. Krijg echt zn Riverside (of meer zn Lunatic Soul project eigenlijk) vibe van de muziek. Mocht je het ooit live willen doen en iemand voor bas nodig hebben laat maar weten!
Of, wat misschien vet is, een project zoals the omnific maar dan met Corvette's ipv MM Bongo's.
Anyway, er is niet echt een dedicated groot kanaal voor 5 snarige bascovers, misschien wel een gat in de markt. 5 Snarig word steeds populairder en ik zal vast niet de enige zijn die graag meer ervan ziet. Ook simpelweg nummers zoals This Love van Maroon 5 horen nou eenmaal 5 snarig (gaat dan om de brug). Jammer als alle grote kanelen op youtube gaan doen alsof dat niet zo is.
