SAS Atlanta Inaugural Flight - 4K

In this special Trip Report, I fly on SAS for the first time on their inaugural flight out of Atlanta, Georgia, which goes to Copenhagen, Denmark. I take the flight in the airline's SAS Plus class seat 24H, on board one of their Airbus A330-300s.

This inaugural has underlying significance, as SAS will be leaving Star Alliance and joining SkyTeam in Sept. 2024, of course, ATL is Delta's headquarters and biggest hub, so this will be great for SAS and Delta as well as their respective passengers once the transition officially happens in the Fall of 2024.

Such a fun flight, with a party at the gate, a ribbon cutting, lots of food, speeches including from SAS's CEO himself, a water cannon salute, and MORE!!

We were served chicken thigh which is the cheapest part of the chicken. Otherwise our meal was OK. Fortunately we got extra legroom seats for only $60. their regular seats have very little legroom.

I still like it, and the mashed potatoes were pretty good… But my favorite was the pie crust for dessert
