From the moment he got introduced I knew I was gonna like him. He's so underrated everytime I watch the scene where he says I BUILT THIS COMPANY BECAUSE NO ONE LIKED ME! :( I felt so bad for Deke, FitzSimmons didn't even apologized to him. Deke just forgave them and when he visited Mack everytime I absolutely loved that.
This was FANTASTIC! Deke quickly became one of my favorite characters on this show and by season 6 became one of my top 5 favorite characters. Jeff Ward did an amazing job at providing both humor and emotion to the character. There were times I got mad at the others because it felt as if the writers were making them out as bullies who pick on Deke but turn to him to basically do their homework only to be mean to him again when he did what they wanted. But they were able to give Deke a good bittersweet ending with the characters all remembering him fondly. My favorite part was the flashbacks of Deke's speech. There were a couple of things I would've added, like maybe having the characters remembering Deke, because even though he wasn't in that scene, them finally accepting him as part of their family was huge for him. But I love this.
Great video about a character that I just LOVE (praying for a show about the SHIELD ruled by Deke :D ) I would LOVE to see you make "The Evolution of Enoch", cause he changed a lot, between the last scene of season 4 and 7x09 ! Thanks :)
Interesting...seeing Binky...I mean Buggy without his makeup. 🤡😆 (anyway Jeff Ward is an incredible actor, he totally nailed his role in this series and in OP ❤)
Again great work. It was a bit shorter than I expected, but you included all of the real important moments for his character. I love how you decided to experiment a little with this video by providing visuals aids during Deke's speech to Fitz-Simmons at 8:14-8:45. That was pure genius on your part. Can't wait for more.
Thank you so much! This one really was harder than I expected because his story is a little disjointed (even his character introduction was very untraditional) and it was hard to tell a cohesive story without having to cut scenes or completely removing the humour that he's known for.
@@Unversed333 I would love to do an Enoch one, his scene where he was "decommissioned" in Kitson really was a turning point for him. Although it'll probably be a while until I get a chance to get to his video, I'm trying to get through the main team first!
believe it or not, a girl isn't obligated to like a guy no matter how good he is or how much he cares about her. Daisy never had romantic feelings for Deke, thats his problem, not hers.
@@Miss-Nadia I mean it’s a writing thing init, as much as they chose to have her not like him back they could have been written to like him back. Idk I get what your saying about woman not having to say yes bc there “nice guys” I don’t think this is what op is getting at seems like more of a writing thing to me but I digress
@@Miss-Nadia I think of it as accepted as in respected or included in the team. Everyone kept mocking him or looked down on him. He just wanted friends and had no home.
I love how you added deke, he’s such an underrated character but he deserves so much more!
@Ananya Goel Yeah, I thought it was so sweet that he wanted the girl he liked to be happy
Im just happy I saw two Indian names here haha

Thank you! Great points and thanks for the feedback!!
Deke deserved better
Deke as a charchter had so much development and this video shows it perfectly!!!!!
I love how deke became director of shield in that timeline
Yes! Deke is a character that developed so much over the series and this video captured that so well. Great job!
Thank you :)

Glad you enjoyed :) I would love to do Enoch's someday, his growth was fantastic!
Boy's a survivor.
Thankyouuuu for doing this! Deke was adorable and I wish he had a proper goodbye with the team especially jemma 😭❤️
Deke saved their asses countless times.
I don't understand why they all hate him 😂

@@toastyin kinda thought an Enoch video would be a fun idea, but like Deke, a lot of his scenes are more comedy driven.

Chop chop CANNON!!!
Awesome video! It would be cool if you did an Enoch vid of some sort; and a Grant Ward evolution from earlier seasons. I would love to see those!
Thanks! And they absolutely deserve videos of their own, just the matter of when I can get to them...
I may be 6 days late, but I wonder how you finished this masterpiece in 1-2 weeks-
Aww thank you! Honestly just a lot of planning and some long editing sessions 😅 I'm so grateful with all the support on my videos so far 💙
This series is a masterpiece and the best in MCU.
How Deke got a company is beyond my understanding O.o
I always thought that Daisy was my comfort character but then I met Deke and god I love him
After just watching Fitz die suddenly I needed to see this.
I love how his real name is Jeff Ward, just like Grant Ward!! XD
I hope he comes back and joins the Avengers
I miss Lincoln & Daisy!
I wish daisy accepted deke

Deke was the most disrespected character on this show.
