The young Nathaniel Malick (S7) was easily the most loathsome character in the show. Both Ruby and Lash were tragic characters, not real villains - the former was just a child, the warped creation of her mother and Hydra, while Andrew Garner was transformed into Lash purely by accident and was only trying to do what he thought was right, by ridding the world of inhumans. Talbot, like General Hale, thought he was trying to save all of humanity, after only becoming Graviton to save the team; more a tragic hero rather than a real villain. Even Aida was really a victim of receiving great power without the maturity and experience to handle it - from a human perspective, she was still basically just a child. Jiaying (S2), Hive, Sarge et al, and Sybil were fighting for the survival of their species. One of the many things that made AoS so great was that even the villains were so complex and layered. The major unambiguously evil villains were John Garrett, the young Nathaniel Malick, Daniel Whitehall, Eli Morrow and Kasius. Grant Ward, of course, is in a class of his own, absolutely one of the most fascinating and layered characters in the Marvel universe.
Lash wasn't even a villain, he was a force of nature. Lincoln explains that there is a certain balance to the way inhuman powers manifest. With the birth of all these new inhumans, nature sensed an imbalance and so created an inhuman exterminator. He wasn't malicious, he was just doing his job.
Eli Marros's villains name is The Molecule Man. I'm not sure why they didn't drop his name either for proprietary issues or other reasons, but he's right up there as being a threat as Dr. Doom, Galactus, Thanos with his power level
Great list, I agree 100% with the top 4 but I would probably put andrew and jiaying a little higher, and I know you didn't count him but IF Cal was on this list he'd probably in the top 5 for me too
I honestly don't know how you don't put radcliffe on this list his entire story arc is just tragic i think jiaying was way too low considering season 7 made her death even worse
Radcliffe has enough moments where he's on the team's side that I see why he's not here, but he's definitely an amazing character.
I think it would have been interesting if in season 4 Ada had been trying to take people from the framework back into the real world to help her there.
They could have given Brett Dalton an AI body, and had the team need to question whether to trust / help a framework personality who had helped them escape but who was entirely fictional by the villain. Maybe it would lead to him leaving or maybe delving into layers of what he’d had to do to maintain his Hydra cover in the framework. They never really explored this with Bobby in a satisfying way. Maybe because the people weren’t really “real” to be impacted it would allow them to really explore the grief of AIWard.
Imagine how much it would ruffle feathers to have him as a genuine good guy again. How much of an asset he would have been. We know how truly loyal Ward was. He was unconditionally loyal to Garrett, and Agent 33, and even to Skye, despite her shooting him. Every time I watch it part of me thinks he did get a raw deal, a lot of the time the first friendly hand he got wasn’t the right one.
I would have loved to see a full and true redemption by him finishing out season 7, as he started, as a hero, and as an Agent of SHIELD.

It's beyond me how Dalton wasn't used more in more movies or tV. Wonder what happened. Guess that hollywood door that was opened to him ask a little..to much?
When we got to one I was like who is left?!!? I've never even thought of ranking the villains but this is a good list.
During the Madame Hydra section I paused the video to concentrate and it took me like 2 seconds to realize that Ward hadn't been mentioned and HAD to be number 1.

@@Ex1toverhere Yeah but doesn't Graviton work under someone too. Like he did not jsut become evil by himself. So i still don't get why you didn't add Raina ?
@@SullivanDLuffy Graviton refused to let himself be controlled by anyone. You could say that he was being manipulated by the Confederacy, but everything he did was of his own will, and he was the final boss of season 5.
@@AgusSkywalker You are proving my point. Graviton was being manipulated . Just like Raina. Raina wanted power and sky mom lied to her. Graviton was working under someone just like Raina. Like why are your being hypocrite. Both Raina and Graviton work under someone and was manipulated they did want they wanted. What the differents
Thanos is overrated and a bad villain.
