This actor really did great you know. Grant Ward was just carried away by Hydra. The other version of him in framework really appreciate being on good side and understanding people. Coulson told Kora in last season that they see that they been to place where they see Ward as good man and believe he can be that in real world again. That Agent who save them after been teleport really did good in shooting John Garrett. That shows Victoria Hand will have a chance in the real world to help Grant Ward become like he was in the framework.
For anyone who has seen The Bad Batch series, does Crosshair remind anyone else of Ward? Specifically the S1-2A Ward? Cause for me, he kind of does with his whole "join the Empire and you will have purpose" thing
Yeah, I was thinking of the Ward/Crosshair comparison. The difference is that after he makes his bed and sleeps in it, Crosshair goes through a lot of positive character development and rejoins his brothers.
In my opinion, Grant is the best character in the MCU. The writers for this series did alot of risky moves for Ward: Making him the bland lone wolf. The way they redeem it is by making them grow instantly. Sudden plot twist with near-no foreshadowing of it, instantly fixed by explaining the whole thing at once. The actions Ward does clearly has consequences. *Everyone* that was part of the original group hated him to bits and wanted him *dead².* And when Ward regains a spouse, even when not aiming to get rid of attachments, he does it anyway and loses them. Its a surprisingly tragic character who's motive is clear. Not commendable but understandable. Despite all of the misery Ward has caused he still gets his redemption that he does actually deserve. The sad part is that _he_ doesn't even get their redemption, the AI version of him does. He's tragic not just because of the same lesson of not being attached being taught to him throughout all of his life. The life he deserves he doesn't get, but this copy of him that gets deleted too. For Grant, it's only loss. This is MARVEL. The origin of that terrible green abnormality named "SheHulk".
Even though I hate what Ward did and the reasons he did it, I can't help but respect him for who he is and especially his fighting skills. Just imagine what he could've been if he were an Inhuman or Enhanced with a Serum.
Yeah. In superhero media I always think about what the super skilled agents like Shield agents or characters like Batman and Robin’s could do with any kind of superpowers. Considering that they’ve been fighting against the super powers as well as they have they’d probably be unstoppable with them. Like if Ward had a serum he’d be on the same level as Captain America or something close to that considering that he was already strong before having a serum.
@@Sicruett my logic is that Ward's probably on the same level, or near the same level as Crossbones, who fought on par with Cap multiple times. Especially when you take into account that Coulson's initial team was made up of agents who were the best in their respective fields. By that logic, Ward without serum could probably give Cap a fight. Ward with serum would be more dangerous than the Winter Soldier, since he was already a Winter Soldier by training and indoctrination.
@@rickyk4583 I disagree that Ward would be able to fight Cap without having a serum of his own and Rumlow for that matter. Rumlow + 10 other hydra agents were still easily dispatched by Steve. With the serum, Ward would probably be on the same level as Bucky, who is only slightly weaker than Steve.

Well, in that timeline, Garrett is dead and Hydra's presence is known to SHIELD. And with Victoria Hand there, it's likely that Ward will be recruited by her, and train him to be a loyal Agent.
It kind of urks me that Ward wasn't in the final seasons and given a redemption.. He literally carried the start of this show during seasons 1-3 when he was revealed to be Hydra b/c that's when the show really became so interesting and engaging to watch.. Even though he was in a couple eps during the Framework, i feel like he should have been in the final episodes. Going from good to bad and then good again would've been a better ending to his character arc. I will always stand with Ward
Wow so crazy that you just made this. I've been looking for this to show my wife. I watched the show from the start as it aired with my family and I'm rewatching it again. My wife doesn't care much for it but she's the same personality type as ward but the extroverted version. (I promise were not those people it's just funny that her personality type is always the villian)
What was so great about Ward as a character was that you thought you got somebody presented as the uptight boy scout who got more and more pressed over time when actually he was an enemy sleeper willing to do whatever he could to make his terrible mentor-who took advantage of his both fragile state and tragic childhood to mold him-happy (with Ward still clearly having morals and feelings of his own despite those things). That betrayal cut so deep with the team that none of them had willingness to try to get to the center of the problem and actually be opened to guiding him in the right direction (deeming his past didn't have an effect on the choices he made now and that he was somebody they'd always thought was beyond saving), but then this all changed not only when he died and their latest enemy took his form; his memories and his experiences on-as well as was enabled to do so because Coulson killed Ward in vengeance, but because they all got forced into a world where their past regrets changed who they were and saw a Ward who got to be a good person because a mentor who cared was there for him instead. In that world, their lives all went wrong while his in turn went right all due to circumstances not character and as a result, things became far less Black and White. * They saw and acknowledged the humanity in the man they could've known rather than the man they did-that it was more than just his actions that defined him-and that did make the difference in being able to process and be able to live with those things. That he got a second chance through a magical program to be able to prove himself to those he let down was an amazing thing and I'll always appreciate and admire it-even though it came way too late and he ultimately didn't stick around (while also getting another chance in another life somewhere else too, so there's that as well).
It's really sad because you really get a feeling sometimes that if the team had done things differently after garrett died, he could have possibly been persuaded to be good again. Not that he really is all that redeemable to be honest, he's done some pretty awful things. But it still makes you wonder if there was somehow a path that could have allowed redemption to happen. But overall, I'm happy with the overall direction the show played out as.
The thing is im only on seson 5 and i really wanted hydra ward (the one who loved skye for the first time not framework or hive) and redeam him self, so watching this and seeing that he doesnt is quite sad.

Skye and ward should have ended up together. If they can go back in time and pull out an agent Suza from the 30s or 40s, they could have pulled out ward before he turned evil. Really annoyed they avoided Ward during time travel, the real Skye would always want to rescue him from evil and pain. In my imagination, she goes back and saves him, and they end up together.
Well they were on a mission and couldn't stop wherever they wanted. Sousa was an unplanned leap. Besides they didn't know the had entered an alternate timeline yet so taking Ward could have messed things up.
I personally don't think Ward just turned evil one day is a collection of things from what happened with his brother to his time in juvie to getting recruited into Hydra and everything that happened afterwards, and I don't think he was right for Daisy, but I respect your opinion on the matter
@@patax144 To be fair, the framework showed us a timeline where things *did* work out. The pivotal catalyst of Ward’s downfall appears to be when Garrett roped him in, since in the framework Victoria had recruited him and he turned out to be the ‘best version of himself’, even having what certainly looks like a happy and healthy relationship with his own Skye/Daisy. I could just be biased though since I always thought the chemistry between Ward and Skye/Daisy was surreal
I like the progression up until upon season 3, you could kind of tell they didn't have much for him to contribute to the plot anymore, or did want him to be part of it significantly.
So happy he didn’t get a redemption arc because that would have disrupted his story. So amazing how the writers show that purpose was something he used to remove himself from his past traumas, but this purpose was what would eventually lead to his downfall once it clashed with the good in him. It’s so fascinating to think that despite all the evil deeds he committed, Ward barely had time to live on his own terms, and it is because of this that I genuinely do feel sorry for him, years later.
Also I know they are reoccurring and more minor characters, but Davis and Piper were awesome in letter seasons; it would be cool to see them in something more as well; just a thought.
If Simmon didn't try to kill him in season 2, the story would've been different for Ward... I hate Simmon at that time, she was truly reckless... Nice Editing by the way.. really beautiful..
the way he managed to make me hate his guts is a testament to how great of a character he is. Every time he tried to appeal to the others' emotions I just wanted his nazi ass off my screen, but not because he was bad, because of how good od a character he was.

Yeah, I think about this a lot. How one person steered him in a direction that could have changed everything. Victory could have help him become what he was in the Framework. I feel like he did so many bad things but he was really truly alone and like an injured cornered animal or something... Trying to grab onto something - in IRL Ward just kept grabbing to dark/evil things until he buried himself. There was no way out. I wished they hadn't made him evil too. Makes me sad!
I feel like too many people make excuses for him. He's a great villain but omg he is such a sociopath! I don't know why I keep seeing people defending him online!
Sociopath might be a bit strong but definitivly a bad guy. I think its mostly people seeing what could have been, had things been different then he might have had a great redemtion ark

Ward is season 4 was a whole another reaction ward thought his life was over until someone came to him Victoria hand telling ward he can be a better person and wow coulson tell kora not to kill him becuase they saw another reality of ward being a good person I hope we get more of these characters in the future.
Well, in that timeline, Garrett is dead and Hydra's presence is known to SHIELD. And with Victoria Hand there, it's likely that Ward will be recruited by her, and train him to be a loyal Agent.
May you do the evolution of Melinda May? thx
I wish they continued the show. I would love to be apart of it.
Thank you for making Grant ward
It kind of urks me that Ward wasn't in the final seasons and given a redemption.. He literally carried the start of this show during seasons 1-3 when he was revealed to be Hydra b/c that's when the show really became so interesting and engaging to watch.. Even though he was in a couple eps during the Framework, i feel like he should have been in the final episodes. Going from good to bad and then good again would've been a better ending to his character arc. I will always stand with Ward
Even if they wanted to bring him back, he probably wasn't available.

They saw and acknowledged the humanity in the man they could've known rather than the man they did-that it was more than just his actions that defined him-and that did make the difference in being able to process and be able to live with those things. That he got a second chance through a magical program to be able to prove himself to those he let down was an amazing thing and I'll always appreciate and admire it-even though it came way too late and he ultimately didn't stick around (while also getting another chance in another life somewhere else too, so there's that as well).
He's my favourite character and also my favourite villain of MCU! 💀😈
Hail Hydra 💀🐙
It's really sad because you really get a feeling sometimes that if the team had done things differently after garrett died, he could have possibly been persuaded to be good again. Not that he really is all that redeemable to be honest, he's done some pretty awful things. But it still makes you wonder if there was somehow a path that could have allowed redemption to happen. But overall, I'm happy with the overall direction the show played out as.
I know he was a villain but he could be good ...
The thing is im only on seson 5 and i really wanted hydra ward (the one who loved skye for the first time not framework or hive) and redeam him self, so watching this and seeing that he doesnt is quite sad.
Samee!!😭
@@destyneeluvene8168 he should have at least had a redemption ark 😭😭😭
@@justanothercatcrazyperson6136 RIGHTTT😭 or even if he stayed bad they could have at least detained him instead of killing him😭😭or maybe find a way to time travel
@@destyneeluvene8168 totally agree 😭😭, but didn’t coulson killed him to get back at killing Rosalind, so idk? but if they time traveled when would they go back to? Because Ward was in hydra since he was a teen and they can’t go back to when he was a child. 😭😭He was such a good character😭😭
@@justanothercatcrazyperson6136 idk I haven’t seen all the series bc I’m too heartbroken knowing he dies😭 But I saw that coulson gave him a chance to leave free so maybe he should’ve took it and stayed away. Or maybe Skye or Fitz could’ve convinced him whenever they were with each other on the mission again. Bc it seemed like he was good then. Perhaps they could’ve forgave him or something
You are delusional then
Lincoln❤️
He was my fav character from the beginning! I miss him being a good guy!
The Marvel Multiverse is a pathway to some abilities some considers to be unnatural, including his return.
thank you i love your videos
I was shocked When i found out he was hydra
Huh, bill Paxton(John Garret) and powers booth (Gideon malick) both were in the movie tombstone
Great vid! Will you be doing individual ones for Mack, Yo-yo, Bobbi, and Hunter eventually? Those would be great to see
I would love to do them eventually!
Oh man also Lincoln?
@@knoote9684 maybe, don't have concrete plans for that yet!
I know I mentioned a lot of characters, but it would also be cool if u ever managed to do one for Antoine Triplett,
Also I know they are reoccurring and more minor characters, but Davis and Piper were awesome in letter seasons; it would be cool to see them in something more as well; just a thought.
Making him a bad guy was a mistake. He should've stayed with the team.
If Simmon didn't try to kill him in season 2, the story would've been different for Ward... I hate Simmon at that time, she was truly reckless...
Nice Editing by the way.. really beautiful..
Damn. I love super villians and Grant Ward is super hot!
This man is so GOATED that I randomly thought about him and the show in the shower
My Fourth Favorite Character on Agents of Shield.
the way he managed to make me hate his guts is a testament to how great of a character he is. Every time he tried to appeal to the others' emotions I just wanted his nazi ass off my screen, but not because he was bad, because of how good od a character he was.
Nazi? Lmfao that's a new one
ward the best of this series.
Brett Dalton would be a great actor to play as young man CLARK KENT/SUPERMAN
underrated actor.. i wish NETFLIX would RELEASE new tv series......
AOS
Hawaii five'O
Criminal minds
Chicago Pd
L&O:SVU
13:16 i wish Victoria Hand had saved her😭😭
10:30 biggest truth of life and how it is
I wish they didn’t make him evil, and I wish they didn’t give Sky powers. The show was good when it was regular people with specialized training who could take on the crazy Marvel world
Agreed, I was so mad when i just found out ward was evil…it made me lose interest in the show
@@JennaRose957 Season 4 Made Justice for him That is the Version of him what He could have become if He choose a other path
You know the character is well written and the actor has done justice to that writing when you hate him with all your heart
13:51 😭😭😭😫😩😔
Damn I miss him but was so sad
he didnt need a redemption arc, but I wish they figured out a way to keep him around as someone who played both sides
One of the characters is really really liked on this show
I feel like too many people make excuses for him. He's a great villain but omg he is such a sociopath! I don't know why I keep seeing people defending him online!
Sociopath might be a bit strong but definitivly a bad guy. I think its mostly people seeing what could have been, had things been different then he might have had a great redemtion ark
14:09 😭by "us" you dont mean "me"
Is there like a first page drain today ? I'm sure he'd be able to deliver the message
I still don't understand of he Is good or evil, i've Just seen the episode 16 of the First season🤔🤔🤔
Ward had vision
Cool video
could I ask you if you can make a video of the evolution of daisy and ward please
12:46 wow
I kind of lost interest in the show after Ward died.
Miguel Meija Holguin he is arguably the best villain in the MCU, of course you lost interest aftef he passed.
Even as HIVE he was killing it.
4:58 does anyone know the name of the actor?
Is there a history i need to get right ?
I haven't finished watching the show and I can't find it. :(((((
Hunter
in season 5 he became jeff ward
I likes him! Good and bad!
he was broken
