Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, all these heroes believe in redemption and reformation. The desire for people to be the best versions of themselves, including their worst enemies. Batman’s more than a guy who broods on gargoyles and beats up bad guys, he has a heart and he wants to help people. We don’t want Punisher as Batman, we want Batman.
hate how everyone blames the no kill rule when villains break out and not the crappy security or the non existant attempts at rehabilitation, kind of like with the death penalty irl you can tell most people based their conclusions on an initial emotional reaction and never cared to think about it further.

No. The same question could be asked of the guards holding him in a cell. I shouldnt be to blame for the joker hurting people any more that the guards that also allowed him to live. You want him dead so badly? You kill him. But ill come for you next

@@TheNerdTake okay well i understand you love conversations like this i do too but im just tryna say we might not have one because i think my take isnt really controversial just so we’re not talking about different two things, i agree with your other points because i believe batman shouldnt kill regularly however i also believe batman should kill joker, but not in a way like writers should make him kill joker but more of like if batman could make his own choices, for his own morals and goal of making sure less people end up in situations like his when he was younger, he should kill joker and there wouldnt be enough cons to make it a bad decision idk i think most people would agree with that, do you?🤔

@@TheNerdTake i kinda didnt mean to take a pragmatic view really the only reason i said not in a way of writers making him kill joker is because we wouldnt get anymore joker stories, i kinda meant he should kill joker not for story but for gothams safety. but im not too familiar with the term “pragmatic” so lmk if that IS a pragmatic view however i think batman should kill just joker and not kill all supervillains because, (and this kind of ties into not being pragmatic i believe), its still batman, he still believes villains can be restored and redeemed. there is still hope for them though there is no hope for joker imo. i say this because jokers goal as a supervillain is to break batman through driving him insane enough to get him to kill, so his whole purpose is basically batman. with this, one can say if there is no batman, there is no joker, because as long as batman is crimefighting with a no kill rule, joker will be terrorizing gothams citizens and to solve this batman needs to kill joker, but that doesnt mean he needs to kill anyone else because the rest arent based off of batman. tbh that was kind of wordy and i could have definitely explained it better mb i think there is a talk to be had though on whether or not joker is too far gone, lmk if you agree that he is too far gone or if theres still hope for him
Ill always defend batman. Heres the reality of the situatiom for gotham... NOONE asked Bruce to become batman. Bruce used his money and spent his time and his own effort sacrificing his body and mind to the cause of the vigilante. THERE WAS NOONE. THERE WAS NO OBLIGATION. NOTHING there to force him. So gotham is PRIVLEDGED that they have this hero going around making it harder for the crime lords. The fact that the police get these villians HANDED TO THEM ON A SILVER PLATTER is enough. Once they are under the law, it is the COURT SYSTEMS that fail gotham. NOT BATMAN. If these criminals are so dangerous why do they keep letting them escape over and over again, despite the countles times batman brings them in? The system that handles the justice is what fails both gotham and batman. All batman does is bring them in, with the hopes the villians find it within them to reform. He doesnt need to be there doing that. He could have just been a billionaire coping in other ways. He chose to be a hero, noone should have any issue with his no kill rule because gotham is already blessed to even have him out there.

@@TheNerdTake It's not even that, when Jason got back from the dead, he tried to kill him, but Batman stop him, CAUSE JASON WANTED BATMAN TO KNOW, all he had to do, was try again, this time withouth making a show of it, but as far as I know, he didn't try again (The 3 Jokers comic it's not cannon, cause he kill one there, but then they said it wasn't cannon)

unfortunately people just want a thomas wayne batman and that can’t work because we bruce truly does give gotham hope and not just fear.
True!! I would have loved to see Jeffery Dean Morgan as Thomas Wayne Batman but they ruined the flashpoint story in the movie.
