A long time ago, I switched from Hunter to Titan because I enjoyed Combination Blow so much, but I realized there's a whole "Melee focused" class with Titan. This makes it seem like it's time to return.

Much more variety, insane survivability on bonk, great team support on strand, insane DPS on strand, amazing super up time and as clear on void.

They already did let's be real the last nerf didn't really effect strand titan that much it was still the standard titan build to use in the raid race. Synth got nerfed cause hunters would have it and strand/ banner got nerfed so strand titan didn't break the game lol

@@immxrtal_02 if you have ads near...shoot an ad to proc 1-2p, then punch the frozen target...but then you also lose the 200% invis melee buff (if you're invis at the time)...catch 22...good thing 1-2 punch isn't necessary, better off without it i'd say..think it's only 40% now with liar's since the nerf anyways...synthos is more versatile for sure, it's insanely fun with threaded spike

Titan has two issues 1. DPS during a lot of the bosses 2. Prismatic Titan is missing bonk hammer I was a Titan main last season but this season I am a Hunter main as it stands, better ad clear, more fun, better damage, better dps, survivability, it's honestly great 🤣 Their exotic class items are also busted too, so good

There are too many fun combos (as a Hunter). Liars with Renewal for Armor + damage, Renewal + Cyrtarachne for Frost armor + Woven mail, Verity + Inmost for ability spam, Assassin + Gyrfalcon for a pocket Gyrfalcon for any subclass. I'm having a hard time taking a break from farming these to get every combo I can lol.
Facts, I have an inmost/liars, a galanor/gyrfalcon a inmost/verity a foetracer/cyrtarachne and a renewal/ stars eater and a dragon/ star eater. I just did the mission yesterday and farmed the chest in overthrow for a few hours and got all but one of these listed.
Titans just arent op melee characters. Which is something people have been complaining about for the entirety of destiny. Now when yall arent melee kings its an issue….

This is a peak example of bad game design. Yes its cool to be strong but it's so strong that there is no reason to use any other (sub)class in the game while also being very easy to perform (both the melees and the dps with still hunt)

yup, as long as you have enough ads around and have combox3...nothing lives lol...duskfield comes in handy in this case...that's why i want that renewal/liar's combo...especially for bosses, then you can drop a duskfield on them (and a stasis super, if you use it) and punch away for 10+ seconds while also stacking frost armor
As a titan main. I think it's just time I swap to hunter. I don't want to but in a group what do we have to offer now aside from banner of war? Titan is the most fun class to play though. We just don't have any fun new builds. Prismatic titan currently is just kinda mid. My solution is give is a celestial for throwing hammer or axe that does a ton of damage and/or give us old heart of inmost light back on arc. Not sure how good it will be on the witness but it might keep up with warlocks at least.

Are you trying to get Bungie to nerf Hunters? This Build isn´t even that useful. You don´t need that kind of Damage in Light Content and you are going to die easily in harder Content. The old Liars Handshake Builds were also hyped up like this, a week later nobody played them anymore for the same reasons. Anyone that knows how to play the Game is still gonna outperform this because you are tumbling around the map gathering 3x CB and then have to close the distance to every enemy.
As soon as I saw the exotic class items and that they were giving Hunters/Warlocks Synthos, I said "that is a fkn mistake".. I dont really main any class, but with that move(and a few others no where near as impactful), might as well remove TItan, cant do anything better than either of the other classes, and even worse for Titan mains, they gave the other classes all the best Titan exotics and in return gave the Titan shit lmao.

In end game activities this build isn't that great. This build biggest weakness is range, in order to do the combo flow you need to get your first melee kill that's mean you have to get closer to the enemies and that's mean you risk yourself especially when in master or grandmaster level and another problem is your fist damage isn't enough for the chunky enemy, you are definitely gonna get killed before you kill that chunky enemy for your combo flow
freeze a boss with 2 dodges (assuming ads are near) then go in for the combo blow x3 chunk!...be invis first, don't 1-2 punch on the first melee (if that's what you're using) or you lose like 160% of your melee dmg from stylish...and if you get lucky and the stars align you can go for the punch with counter-punch already loaded and watch his health bar disappear (or a huge golden gun sized chunk at least!)
Remember when titans had normal melees and they weren’t ranged. So we could do actual melee punch builds. Kinda missing those days. Man remember when Striker was good for punching stuff in the face. Those were good memories in Y2. I punched stuff in the face. Now I have a wind up. Anyway go off hunters, you want an over shield?
@@razikazmi6840It's hilarious to keep hearing this. Exploiting Navigator is the ONLY thing that made that build "broken" which basically no one did. It did respectable damage, but not top tier, it just had easy woven mail and healing so it had a very low barrier to entry.
You don’t really need facet of dawn to make you radiant as the artifact has radiant on orb pick up. Facet of bravery is also optional if using void or strand weapons for volatile or unravelling rounds. Facet of protection is free DR and ruin is good for improved CC as improves shatter for frozen enemies. It also gives bigger solar ignitions for Calibans.
he has bravery in the build...but ya, i'd replace bravery, dawn and blessing (kinda useless on this imo unless you're somehow not surviving...does help teammates i suppose, if they need it)..but with frost armor/facet of protection/amplified/recuperation or better already/and invis...that should be more than enough survival lol...switch to strand super if frost ain't cutting it...i had no prob staying alive running tether with this either, even though overshield is by far the worst option, you make so many orbs that you constantly have a full overshield
i have the exact roll in this video caliban/liars grapple grenade is good for this cuz they detonate off the melee after the grapple and you still go invis if you're running stylish executioner of course
I have both and I haven't really explored the Synthoceps one too deeply. Cause I just feel like getting that instant heal from the combination blow PLUS getting the explosions procced from all melee final blows has been really hard to pass up. The main reason I feel like I'd want to try the Synthoceps version is because I wouldn't have to be bound to combo blow. I'd be able to use threaded spike, withering blade, etc. Which means I'd get to have a ranged melee in activities where getting right in an enemy's face isn't always the best idea. The first thing that comes to mind for me would be GMs. Even red bars will often take multiple punches in GM content, which means you basically HAVE to get the kill and proc stylish executioner or you're gonna die, and be dead in a really bad place for your team. However, that being said, I still feel like Caliban/Liar's has served me too well to change up for ANOTHER melee build. While I initially felt like dusk field would be the best pick as opposed to grapple for the build, grapple melee still procs stylish executioner AND triggers the caliban ignition. That is absolutely massive imo. Cause grapple will help you fly into a group much more safely than just running up and trying to use cover. The grapple melee gives invis, you still have your combi blow, AND the ads around you are likely chunked pretty good from the ignition off the grapple melee. In practice, I just feel like the dusk field is something that sounds better on paper than it actually is in real gameplay
I've recreated this build but I'm only getting around 170k for my fully charged Cali/Syntho combination blow. I've got the mods, the artefacts, the fragments and all the same perks for the subclass. Has this build been nerfed already, or am I doing something wrong?
Man, I was so excited for this DLC. Here comes the unbelievable grind. From getting the fragments to this exotic mission. Everything is complicated and boring. Solo players will drop destiny quickly again. I've already given up.
Man, I wish the Titan cbos were even worth chasing. Nothing on the Titan class item really effects gameplay like this. They wleither chose really mid meme combos like lash/horn. The only serious combos are severance/syntho or HOIL/Scales. And even then imo you'd be better off equipping just Synthocepts.

Personally prefer synthos because it makes the early kills much easier which is my main complaint about combination blow hunter. Liar's is definitely the pick for one-two punch DPS though. Real answer is just use whichever you get with a good combination first.
As a Titan main since 2014 D1 I just feel bummed about all the nerfs we keep getting hit with. Supposed to be the Tank unit but just not it. (You ain’t that guy) I wish we had built in 100 RSL so we can spec into other things and be able to get in the faces of enemies punch them and tank damage for our teammates. Just sad what’s going on with Titans
I tried it in lost sector with -25 and it deals damage but it can go very wrong very fast. You basically have to run for you life as stylish invis don't stay for long and you need its damage. And if you get killed by a heavy target with no fodder in the area, your combo is fucked and you can only count on your weapons. For content at level of just -10 / -15, you're bascally god.
What a surprise. The class poster child gets the best overall gameplay loop again. Can we talk about how much of a nothing burger the warlocks combinations are, literally barely any of the combinations are synergistic and the ones that are get completely out classed by the other two classes combination synergies. I'm so sick of the passive/support bullshit forced onto warlock. It's cool if people like those play styles but god damn it I want to feel like a fucking offensive space wizard.
I love your builds and videos Ehroar. And I understand your frustration of 1 class having the best builds for any situation. And making the game even easier than it already is. And yes power creep is a huge issue. But most people don’t have the compulsion to play on the most efficient build in the game for all things at all times. This sorta build is strong. But gets old so fast.
Damn I would be ok with this but Bungie did nerf the enchanted melee being able to proc stuff like the "Knockout" punches so we can't even proc. Severance or Point Cannon Brace and stuff like that without a full melee charge
Playing titan is still completely viable. People are memeing on titan but havent even attempted to use a bubble since the update. Havent even tried the builds that supposedly got nerfed even though you can still grapple melee and kill anything in the game. Consecration and hammer titan is still busted without the solar focussed artifact from last season. The truth is that every class is viable for every roll. You just gotta spec for it.
its a good start but i would recomen using the folowing aspects en mods in subclas the aspects u have are good stylish executinur and winters shroud for the mods i use facid of pupose , faced of ruin , facet of protection faced of courage and faced of dawn as u doge u wil efeckt near combatents whit stacis using power melee wil kill them making u inviseble and whit lairs handshale it wil heal u and cuz of faced of courege the power melee do more dmg and i use artefeckt mod elemental si[hon whit kenetic weapon kills spawn elemental pickup i have the arc super so i am always amplifide for the next artifeckt mod galvanic armor while amplifide redus the dmg taken

I’ve been a Titan main (and haven’t even really played other characters) for nearly a decade and I’m very very close to changing to hunter. Everything Titan can do, hunter just does it better.
Something about melee builds is just boring. Maybe it's because the melee themselves are boring. I like warlock because you can deal damage from far away.

I tested in this lost sector yesterday. If you cross counter a frozen enemy you hit 999,999 with the other dmg stacking.
yup, as long as you have enough ads around and have combox3...nothing lives lol...duskfield comes in handy in this case...that's why i want that renewal/liar's combo...especially for bosses, then you can drop a duskfield on them (and a stasis super, if you use it) and punch away for 10+ seconds while also stacking frost armor
As a titan main. I think it's just time I swap to hunter. I don't want to but in a group what do we have to offer now aside from banner of war? Titan is the most fun class to play though. We just don't have any fun new builds. Prismatic titan currently is just kinda mid.
My solution is give is a celestial for throwing hammer or axe that does a ton of damage and/or give us old heart of inmost light back on arc. Not sure how good it will be on the witness but it might keep up with warlocks at least.

I'm not swapping classes, mostly cause I barely have any exotics on the other classes and I don't feel like grinding 100 more hours just to have a usable hunter

Are you trying to get Bungie to nerf Hunters? This Build isn´t even that useful. You don´t need that kind of Damage in Light Content and you are going to die easily in harder Content. The old Liars Handshake Builds were also hyped up like this, a week later nobody played them anymore for the same reasons. Anyone that knows how to play the Game is still gonna outperform this because you are tumbling around the map gathering 3x CB and then have to close the distance to every enemy.

As soon as I saw the exotic class items and that they were giving Hunters/Warlocks Synthos, I said "that is a fkn mistake".. I dont really main any class, but with that move(and a few others no where near as impactful), might as well remove TItan, cant do anything better than either of the other classes, and even worse for Titan mains, they gave the other classes all the best Titan exotics and in return gave the Titan shit lmao.

Hunters: the mobility class that is the least mobile of the three classes (at least it sure feels like it to me)

Seeing all these Titan mains whine and complain is hilarious. Strand and Solar Titan are both still amazing. I literally blitzed the legend campaign on Strand Titan and that shit was a joke. I agree that Prismatic on Titan is the weakest of the 3, but acting like the whole class is bad is just pure class victimhood. Which is hilarious because I know all these people were telling Hunters/Warlocks to suck it up whenever people who mained those classes complained about some of the broken shit Titan has gotten over the years.

In end game activities this build isn't that great. This build biggest weakness is range, in order to do the combo flow you need to get your first melee kill that's mean you have to get closer to the enemies and that's mean you risk yourself especially when in master or grandmaster level and another problem is your fist damage isn't enough for the chunky enemy, you are definitely gonna get killed before you kill that chunky enemy for your combo flow

Yes
freeze a boss with 2 dodges (assuming ads are near) then go in for the combo blow x3 chunk!...be invis first, don't 1-2 punch on the first melee (if that's what you're using) or you lose like 160% of your melee dmg from stylish...and if you get lucky and the stars align you can go for the punch with counter-punch already loaded and watch his health bar disappear (or a huge golden gun sized chunk at least!)
Remember when titans had normal melees and they weren’t ranged. So we could do actual melee punch builds. Kinda missing those days. Man remember when Striker was good for punching stuff in the face. Those were good memories in Y2. I punched stuff in the face. Now I have a wind up.

@@razikazmi6840It's hilarious to keep hearing this. Exploiting Navigator is the ONLY thing that made that build "broken" which basically no one did. It did respectable damage, but not top tier, it just had easy woven mail and healing so it had a very low barrier to entry.

You don’t really need facet of dawn to make you radiant as the artifact has radiant on orb pick up.
Facet of bravery is also optional if using void or strand weapons for volatile or unravelling rounds.
Facet of protection is free DR and ruin is good for improved CC as improves shatter for frozen enemies. It also gives bigger solar ignitions for Calibans.
he has bravery in the build...but ya, i'd replace bravery, dawn and blessing (kinda useless on this imo unless you're somehow not surviving...does help teammates i suppose, if they need it)..but with frost armor/facet of protection/amplified/recuperation or better already/and invis...that should be more than enough survival lol...switch to strand super if frost ain't cutting it...i had no prob staying alive running tether with this either, even though overshield is by far the worst option, you make so many orbs that you constantly have a full overshield
i miss the days when you had to use your guns to kill enemies and shoot bosses, nowadays its just punch anything and everything until it dies

I have both and I haven't really explored the Synthoceps one too deeply. Cause I just feel like getting that instant heal from the combination blow PLUS getting the explosions procced from all melee final blows has been really hard to pass up. The main reason I feel like I'd want to try the Synthoceps version is because I wouldn't have to be bound to combo blow. I'd be able to use threaded spike, withering blade, etc. Which means I'd get to have a ranged melee in activities where getting right in an enemy's face isn't always the best idea. The first thing that comes to mind for me would be GMs. Even red bars will often take multiple punches in GM content, which means you basically HAVE to get the kill and proc stylish executioner or you're gonna die, and be dead in a really bad place for your team.
However, that being said, I still feel like Caliban/Liar's has served me too well to change up for ANOTHER melee build. While I initially felt like dusk field would be the best pick as opposed to grapple for the build, grapple melee still procs stylish executioner AND triggers the caliban ignition. That is absolutely massive imo. Cause grapple will help you fly into a group much more safely than just running up and trying to use cover. The grapple melee gives invis, you still have your combi blow, AND the ads around you are likely chunked pretty good from the ignition off the grapple melee. In practice, I just feel like the dusk field is something that sounds better on paper than it actually is in real gameplay
I've recreated this build but I'm only getting around 170k for my fully charged Cali/Syntho combination blow. I've got the mods, the artefacts, the fragments and all the same perks for the subclass. Has this build been nerfed already, or am I doing something wrong?

Man, I wish the Titan cbos were even worth chasing. Nothing on the Titan class item really effects gameplay like this. They wleither chose really mid meme combos like lash/horn. The only serious combos are severance/syntho or HOIL/Scales. And even then imo you'd be better off equipping just Synthocepts.

Personally prefer synthos because it makes the early kills much easier which is my main complaint about combination blow hunter. Liar's is definitely the pick for one-two punch DPS though. Real answer is just use whichever you get with a good combination first.

As a Titan main since 2014 D1 I just feel bummed about all the nerfs we keep getting hit with. Supposed to be the Tank unit but just not it. (You ain’t that guy) I wish we had built in 100 RSL so we can spec into other things and be able to get in the faces of enemies punch them and tank damage for our teammates. Just sad what’s going on with Titans
I tried it in lost sector with -25 and it deals damage but it can go very wrong very fast. You basically have to run for you life as stylish invis don't stay for long and you need its damage.
And if you get killed by a heavy target with no fodder in the area, your combo is fucked and you can only count on your weapons.
For content at level of just -10 / -15, you're bascally god.
What a surprise. The class poster child gets the best overall gameplay loop again. Can we talk about how much of a nothing burger the warlocks combinations are, literally barely any of the combinations are synergistic and the ones that are get completely out classed by the other two classes combination synergies. I'm so sick of the passive/support bullshit forced onto warlock. It's cool if people like those play styles but god damn it I want to feel like a fucking offensive space wizard.
I haven't touched my titan in 2 full seasons. This season, I've made the decision to ignore him forever.

I love your builds and videos Ehroar. And I understand your frustration of 1 class having the best builds for any situation. And making the game even easier than it already is. And yes power creep is a huge issue. But most people don’t have the compulsion to play on the most efficient build in the game for all things at all times. This sorta build is strong. But gets old so fast.

Damn I would be ok with this but Bungie did nerf the enchanted melee being able to proc stuff like the "Knockout" punches so we can't even proc. Severance or Point Cannon Brace and stuff like that without a full melee charge
Playing titan is still completely viable. People are memeing on titan but havent even attempted to use a bubble since the update. Havent even tried the builds that supposedly got nerfed even though you can still grapple melee and kill anything in the game. Consecration and hammer titan is still busted without the solar focussed artifact from last season. The truth is that every class is viable for every roll. You just gotta spec for it.
its a good start but i would recomen using the folowing aspects en mods in subclas the aspects u have are good stylish executinur and winters shroud for the mods i use facid of pupose , faced of ruin , facet of protection faced of courage and faced of dawn as u doge u wil efeckt near combatents whit stacis using power melee wil kill them making u inviseble and whit lairs handshale it wil heal u and cuz of faced of courege the power melee do more dmg and i use artefeckt mod elemental si[hon whit kenetic weapon kills spawn elemental pickup i have the arc super so i am always amplifide for the next artifeckt mod galvanic armor while amplifide redus the dmg taken

I’ve been a Titan main (and haven’t even really played other characters) for nearly a decade and I’m very very close to changing to hunter. Everything Titan can do, hunter just does it better.

for the longest time hunters had no use case in raids our only sell point was tether, but you could also get the same debuff with a tractor or a melting point so we were mostly doing ad clear and survive and the first time we are getting something good people be like yeah they are having too much fun nerf it ffs
