I love that you are so strict about your stuff. The honest review at end is a great insight in your process. Thank you Henry for making me a better painter!
These look amazing. Very useful video. I just got an airbrush, so i need to watch more videos like this. Tip: have you tried Gryph-Charger Grey to shade your silver? I find the bluish-grey works well, especially on decorative silver.
Lovely work! I’ll have to try mixing Necro gold with bronze on my titan trim. Reducing the number of trim steps will definitely increase my titan output
Henry "The Heresy" Warhound Hero (phalange fumbles & tinkling telephones forever forgiven), you've made my O.G. Titanicus scout's procrastination just that little bit less daunting, thank you, gutted I can't get up to Bristol this year(Dog sitting) had really wanted to be there for the inauguration, maybe next year all being well, can't wait for the paint line, keep on keeping on, whole hearted best wishes.
Really excited for your army update on your Legions Imperialis stuff! I really enjoyed this video as you went through the process of a different and more simple painting process but then talked about your enjoyment compared to you Godbreakers. Super fun.
Just wanted to note, while I've not used it with Tamiya's clears, they do make a retarder you can use that helps brush on coverage. I've used it before for my touchups on models (wiith the base tamiya coat I had used)
I absolutely love this little Dire Wolfs. I am painting some Titans myself right at the moment. Some are Legio Mortis and some are green and black since I enjoyed that theme so much doing my Salamenders. All the colours are flat, but now I am realy tempted to redo some parts with candy coats. Greetings from Germany, keep doing Legions Imperialis!
When we gonna get some cult of paint stickers Henry? Need to deck out the palette and water cup. Classic cult splatter and a “I’ll paint it any color you want as long as you want purple” for Andy 😅
Wicked looking. Some great new techniques that I will be trying. Stencils work really nicely as well. Lol my missus will be thanking you I’m sure. lol just what I need, more hobby stuff hahah
Those stencils are super neat. Certainly beats freehanding them. And them being on a candy scheme makes me think that lightning bolts on metallic Night Lords might just work as well.
Your timing is impeccable. I'm starting my Cthonian headhunters for Legions Imperialis and my ears perked up when you mentioned working on infantry. Your 28mm scheme looks great - I'd love to see how you handle them at 8mm.
Great video. Yeah, I've also noticed the weird distortions on the surface of the recent plastic heresy kits. They also seem to go hand in hand with noticeable strong mould lines, so I'm assuming they've just started using cheaper moulds/machines or both!
There's something so old-school about the designs of titans like the Direwolves. It's the same kind of lop-sided yet cool charm of the early Jes Goodwin sculpts. The vividness of the paintjobs you gave them brings that character out so well.
Awesome video! I doubt you'll be doing more warhounds on the channel anytime soon - but if you did I would love to see how you would approach the surface effect for Legio Audax!
Hi, Henry, first thanks for the awsome painting tutorials. Have you ever try the Schmincke airbrushcolours? They have some nice acrylic transparent paints.
Looks great! Loved the look of the krytos from a while back so nice to see some more titans. Just wondering, would things like the oil dot filtering you did on krytos work nicely with metallic or clear schemes like these, or is something that looks best on matte schemes?
Based on your comment on correct masks, do you have a recommendation? I have one but I don't think it's quite up to scratch with the amount of airbrushing I've been doing!
I use the piece of kitchen paper that I've been drying my brush on. Soak it up on that, if for any reason it sticks then I'll use a drop more of whatever thinner I've used.
Really nice results. To me, the painting is as much part of the hobby as everything else (I should do more though, even if building and converting models is more easy on the side), so I don't mind taking my time figuring out color schemes and finishing stuff. I do understand that other people are leaning more towards the play side, so having ways to be efficient is a good thing. And changing it up to test if the focus may have changed is definitely a good thing from time to time. Quick question on the models themselves: the heads look very similar to those of Warhounds, are they the same size and potentially interchangeale?
I am doing legio Krytos as my titan legio, house malinax as my kights and world eaters space marines as my army, but i painted everything released so far so i now waiting on this new stuff, tiatans and drop pods and tanks. A-stand paints are what used to be Alclad ii, mig ammo took over the patent and is now producing it as A-stand paints, great paints. Have you tried the Mr.color gx clears? They are also great
Hi Henry, in the voice over you say you added Vallejo Pale blue grey, but in the paint list it's VMC - Pale Grey Blue just saw those are 2 different paints! Do you remember which one it was?
I always think it's a little shame that people don't put more effort into the skeletons of these things, and just focus on the plates. At least those huge back doors could have gotten something.
I love that you are so strict about your stuff. The honest review at end is a great insight in your process. Thank you Henry for making me a better painter!
That hot rod flame looks so good. And super satisfying to watch you peel the stencil off!
That stencil peel was easily the best part of the video
@@iain.sm.c Agreed!
Absolutely satisfying when you pulled that stencil off. Fantastic work with these.
Best painting series and I’m not even that into sci-fi but you make me wanna paint some up 🙌🏻
Do it!
Always love the smooth paint schemes

Yes thanks! I really like the contrasts as washes for Metallics
Great looking stuff Henry. Keep it coming.
Nice works! It motivates me to start with my titans.
Looks great, Henry. Thanks for sharing.

They look really good!
Great job.
This was lovely to watch, great work and wonderfull inspiration!

Beautiful work on both titans, but the Legio Astorum paintjob, with metallic blue and those hot rod flames, is absolutely gorgeous!
another great tutorial. You guys are def among the best in my opinion🎉
+1 to anyone reading on the Ratling Grime. I LOVE that stuff, it weathers wood and metal really well.
Love the candy and flames combo!
Thats such a gorgeous scheme

I tend to use the equivalent vallejo model colour paint for touch ups if i have to. But thanks for the tip.
I love the color scheme for first one. It reminds me of Megas XLR Coupe would be very happy.

Beautiful mate! Awesome hotrod flames as well, I'm currently doing a very regal titan force so this is neat!
That warmaster with the chains is awesome, i wanna do that

Cool.Love the blue.
Great vid Henry. I agree that metallic paint looks better over a black undercoat.

These may have been a pain to get ready and paint up but man they look fantastic. Loving your videos. I watch them ass soon as they are available.
Thankyou

you have excellent taste.

its getting more and more common
@@cultofpaint so that is what it is! I found some of those recently as well and was wondering what that was.
I only ever started following you and being a Patreon because of 8mm stuff, more!

Amazing as usual! Thank you Henry. Would love to see a fully executed Legio Solaria Titan though 😅 Cheers
They are popular
@@cultofpaint they are... aren't they?! And prominent in Titandeath... nudge, nudge 😇
Beautiful
would love to see you paint a full sized warlord titan
ha maybe one day
How they didnt give the Warmaster a bigger base is beyond me. In Titannicus it made sense BC of the arc templates, but for LI… no excuse.
Awesome video! I doubt you'll be doing more warhounds on the channel anytime soon - but if you did I would love to see how you would approach the surface effect for Legio Audax!
I'd love to have a go at Audax one day
Lovely work, as always! Any plans to do some more teeny, tiny tanks?
Thanks David. Absolutely, I just need to figure out something interesting to do for a video with them.
I’d love to see your take on Legio Osedax please 🙏 ps I am learning to airbrush and I find your style and explanation great!
I use the candy effect on my tsons... I use thinned contrast for my tints though
I would love to see you guys paint some Bushido miniatures , they have some really nice mini's . Any chance of a video on that some day ?
Have you ever painted any Legio Solaria? I’ve always thought it’s a super interesting scheme but I find it very intimidating
i did test panel for the scheme in a Patreon video along with a bunch of others.
Hi, Henry, first thanks for the awsome painting tutorials. Have you ever try the Schmincke airbrushcolours? They have some nice acrylic transparent paints.
I haven't no. I tried their normal acrylics a while back. Will have a look!
I love watching your tutorials, but I am terrified of the airbrush, so haven't utilised them.
Where are you based? Can you get to an airbrush class?
