Legend! Within 4 seconds of the video I knew this was the bloke who was gonna show me how to make a sliding floor for my dual cab!
Cheers mate 👍
Honestly had no idea if it was going to work but you can only try!
Thanks for watching 😀
This video is exactly what I was looking for. Dual cab Ute with camping setup, however, still using the Ute as… well a Ute. Thank you. SUBSCRIBED 🔔
Cheers mate!
Sometimes you just have to go your own way and hope it works out!
Thanks for the sub 👍
Dude! Killed it.. very well done!
and subscribed mate. Thinking of doing something similar but wasn't sure how to attach it the tub. Legend!
Cheers mate!
Glad you enjoyed it 😊
I had a full size tub slide made for my last triton by Custom Concepts here in the NT. Best addition to a tub ute ever.
Definitely a good option as well
I did look into a tub slide but with the limited height of my roller cover they all seemed to be too high
Cheers for watching 👍
Well done dude, nice solution, really well executed 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Cheers mate!
I'm no engineer but I think it's solid enough to last out on the tracks
Thanks for watching!
True Aussie style! Safety glasses on top of your head while drilling 🤣
Awesome video regardless 👌
Definitely considering this for my ranger
Didn't even realise mate 🤣
Cheers!
Mate this is what i have been looking for! cheers, Subscribed!
Thanks mate!
Cheers for watching 👍
What a great simple build mate you don't very well and professional looking
Thanks mate 👍
Jack of all trades, master of none!
Mate you nailed that! Very neat good job. We have subscribed
Cheers guys! Maybe I'll see you out on the tracks 👍
Excellent idea, I'm thinking of doing something similar but using a single channel at the back of the tub to lock the board in against the head board and 2 adjustable turn buckles to hold the tailgate end down from the cargo tie down points
Cheers mate 👍
I'm thinking on how to redo the tailgate end myself, turn buckles might be the way to go
Nice job bro well done 👏🏽👏🏽
Great stuff and well produced content mate. looking forward to more mods!
Cheers mate!
Looking forward to sharing 👍
Nicely done Champ. Very impressive. Great work, you should be proud of what you built. Just like you, need my ute tub for work but also needed for camping on weekends... Thank you for the inspiration. I've got the same XTM drawers and XTM slide out kitchen and need same solution. Subscribed.
Cheers mate! It's all about what works for you
Would love to see some pics when your done with yours 👍
Mate ! All I can say is your the best dude! You rock ! Love your simplicity and honesty 😁👍 I just subscribed 😉
Cheers for the kind words mate 👍

Plenty more to come I hope!
Good job mate
Cheers 🍻
Good job.
Cheers mate 👍
Looks awesome great work mate
Cheers mate! 🍻
Was looking for a someone with a tub rack and a roller shutter that has a setup in the tub! Subbed, need some ideas!
I feel you mate, every man and his dog has a canopy
Just making it up as I go 👍
Nice work, lots of thought and detail.
Cheers mate 👍
Nice work mate! Liked, subscribed and looking forward to more. Cheers
Thanks mate 👍
Plenty more to come I hope
Nice job ,thanks for the tutorial,I got some great ideas from ya.😊 Cheers
No worries mate 👍
Cheers for watching
Hey mate have you run the cables for the reverse lights? Can’t seem to find a clean way to run them into the tub
Hey mate, check out my DIY Control Box vid
I ran between the tub and cab, then inside the tub skin above the wheel arch
There's holes at the top, I think I tried to show them in my Kickass Powerstation vid
Cheers for watching 👍
Unreal set up. Nice work mate. Jealous because I am not handy at all. 👍
Cheers mate 👍
would it not have been an idea to devise a way to mount the whole thing on top of the tub liner and just seal each bolt? I feel like when I do mine I'd rather have it so that if water gets in there it doesn't get to the metal of my bed. I think you have a cover so you don't expect it to get wet? Even though I have a canopy it seems like a better option to do it in a way that doesn't remove a bunch of protection from the bed. Especially since the idea is that this thing gets removed from time to time. Like the idea though.
Hey mate, you're right I could have left the tub liner in, but with the roller cover restricting height I needed just that little bit more
I haven't had any issues with the small amounts of water that get in as the tub is designed to drain already.
Cheers for watching 👍
looks mint mate well done!
Cheers mate 👍
Exactly what I was looking for mate, thanks for this
Build it and they will come haha
Cheers 🍻
Awesome stuff
Hey great channel ! Dumb question here..much like you I dont want to have any 'perm fixtures' in my XLT tub and need to use a tub rack to place an rtt. The thing is, given the space required for a fridge and sliding drawer it does not leave much space especially the way the shutter roller is installed. Would you remove the shutter roller and store more stuff in the space between the fridge top, the drawer and the tub rack top? Just wondering how to secure equipment stored there
Awesome job mate. I have the Wildtrak and have been wondering how to get a fridge under the roller shutter on a slide. If only there was a 4wd shop that offered a productized version of what you've put together!
Cheers mate 👍
Maybe they'll see this and design one 🤣
@@Shenanigans4x4 either that or you should get the designs popped into a CAD format and then start a mini side hustle installing these for people in Vic!
How does the carpet go being in the weather?
It's not so much in the weather with the roller cover, but it's holding up well 👍
Awesome video mate
Cheers Riffa! Thanks for watching 🍻
Thank you for shared
Cheers for watching mate 👍
Awesome mate, love it. Looking to do exactly the same in my Ute. Can I ask, what was the clearance between tub liner & roller shutter originally? What height is the fridge you got and how much height does the slide add? Cheers, and keep em comin! I've just subscribed
Hey mate, Cheers for the sub!
I have the same clearance as with the tubliner in the end
I don't have the measurements on me now but the slide adds around 20mm, and I have over an inch of clearance on the top of the fridge
Thanks for watching 👍
Did your roller shutter leak water, If it did what did you use to stop the leak and where. I’m looking at doing a setup similar to this on my ranger but I need to stop the leaks
Hey mate, as far as I've noticed I only get a little trickle where the tub meets the cab
Sticking my head up there it looks like there's some pretty large gaps that I'll probably fill in with expanda foam once I run some wiring through there
It's not really enough to worry about but better with no leaks
This is a sick idea! Mint 👌👌
Thanks mate!
Mate I thought I was special having this bright idea then I came across your video you made a year ago! Only question I have is how is the system holding up after a year of use? Are there any tweaks you have made?
Beat you to it 😂
It's holding up really well apart from the capping rail, need to find a better solution to hold it on
I'd be keen to see what you come up with mate 👍
Same day reply, you’re a true blue legend. Yeah originally I was planning to just butt it up against the tailgate but my mechanic doesn’t like that idea. I’m going to try drilling holes through the side rails and ply and put 20mm bolts in to stop it sliding out. I’ll probably do a video and reference you in it when I do anyway 🤙
Well done mate ! How much to re-create this for my ranger?
Cheers mate!
Rough cost of materials was about $250 without plywood as I got that for free
Thats neat mate well done
I am thinking of doing similar but putting nutserts into the tub for 4 bolt mount for draws 4 bolt for fridge
Way simpler but is the wood removal much quicker?
Thanks mate!
I originally thought of nutserts too, but with the drawers you have to remove the whole top and pull the drawer out to access the bolts
Just 2 hands bolts on the front and she slides out easy
Sometimes when you need the tub you might not have much notice
Hey mate have you got the half size of full size Ozroo bar? I'm after one for a RTT but don't really want it sitting higher than the roof, cheers
Hey Adam
Mines the full height 3/4 length to suit the Wildtrak sail plane
Cheers for watching 👍
Is it bolted to the tray? How is it secured?
Hey mate, 2 outside rails are bolted through the tub floor using M8 bolts, 2 centre rails are secured with pop rivets
I don't understand why you would cut out the tub liner and the drill holes through your floor to put in a false floor for a draw system
Height limitation from the roller cover is why I cut the tub liner
A false floor can be floating but I wanted a more sturdy base to hold up on 4x4 tracks
Plus both sides can be swapped out in 10 mins if I need the space
Cheers for watching 👍
Hey mate, loved the video. Did you use the 60L titan fridge slide here? The 50L slide doesn't seem to be available on 4wdsupacentre anymore.
Cheers
Thanks mate 👍 glad you enjoyed it!
Had a look at the site and couldn't find the one I got, only the 100L/large one
I think it's the 60L/small slide
The internal dimensions are 475mm x 745mm if that helps
Lazy me throws rubber mat in the tub 😄
I'd hate the fridge to bounce around on the tracks 🤣🤣
Can you make me one? 😂
🤣 only you know exactly what you want in your head mate, that's all I did
Take your time, do it once, do it right and the self satisfaction makes it all worth it 👍
just less shitty music next time i reckon
Original music got copyrighted haha
