I think a major issue with the infernal army is that it's so slow off of the creep I don't remember what it's called I havent played since one of the betas a few months ago. So after watching so many of these games im starting to think that inernal players will start using their drop ships in fights more to speed up their armies If you lose one drop ship but save most of your army cause they can escape I would say thats a good play. Think of those Rhino drops (also forget what most things are called) not only did they do lots of damage but they were actually speeding up the army to close the gap quicker , that was an eye opening moment for me. So it can be used on the defense and offenselike sure it's more micro but i mean this is RTS king of micro wins. I feel like if it look at it in the aspect that people haven't fully flushed out what to do. I understand rts very well I have played starcraft since 1998 I actually can't prove this but I legit invented the picking up immortals with pheonixes in the PvP match up very early on in starcraft 2 I came up with it after a little lan tournement i went to in southern california back in 2010. I started using it on the ladder in rank 1 diamond (when that was the highest rank) and within 2 weeks everyone was using it. I can't wait to make up some strats for this game it's gonna be awesome. Anyways keep up the good work man still really enjoy your content.
Infernal needs a late game anti-armor or anti-heal unit/ability to counter med-tech. Vanguard needs a mid game dispel/cleanse ability to stop fiends count going out of control.
vanguard do have that it’s a medtech ability called system shock that is absolutely cracked. I agree infernal could use some spellcasting counter play, good idea
system shock does affect a bunch of units at a time. in that instance it doesn’t matter though because every gaunt attack reinfests? i guess you mean make them uninfestable for a period of time (i dont watch aoe)?
Gaunts might need a redesign. I’ve been saying make infest a spell that temporarily lowers the gaunt’s attack dmg or something or make it early game spellcaster and give infernal another fighting unit. Brute might just need to cost 125 luminite, half way between this patch and the last.
Elazer vs lucifron had some interesting games if you want to check those out, whole series could even be worth it. Otherwise nina has had some absolutely wild games so if you could ask her for some ladder replays / scan her vods for ones to ask for, that could be the way to go. (she’s top 10 on ladder “justasloth”) Enticity is another streamer who’s top 40 on ladder that plays vanguard and they’ve had some really fun vvv’s lately where they took games off much higher rated players with some interesting styles, might be good to ask for their best replay(s). I don’t watch infernal streams as much b/c infernals is so boring to watch unless it’s top tier game vs vanguard. They really need some more units which is the primary way stormgate should be balancing next imo, just adding new units and trying different kinds of maps.
The problem isn't just Lancers. It's the amount of options that Vanguard has for fast units that are very hard to kill for the super slow Infernal units. And beyond the balance discussion, it makes the later stages of the game very unfun to play as Infernal because your units are just so damn big, slow, and clunky. The overall slower game speed doesn't help with this either. I've stopped playing and gone back to SC2 for now, mostly because of this. Nothing is worse than the feeling of watching your units get helplessly kited while they struggle to even touch the Vanguard army that's constantly being healed and buffed. I'll gladly deal with Widow Mines over that. Lol
I totally get that feeling. I'm not playing at a high level but I was having fun trying to use double or triple doombringer just to combat-drop magmadons on top of or behind the enemy army, was super fun the few times I pulled it off!
Nice video, not only are you informative but your energy makes these casts very fun to watch 😊
I would love to see you cover more top tier ladder games on stormgate. Anything from the newest patches.
Good idea, already got a few sent in by some top players so stay tuned

Nice matches parting is insane in this game
Parting is damn good but tbh kiwian is a one-trick pony

@@Claire-ing I was thinking something along the lines of an AoE cleanse, not single target. To help BOBs with doom gaunt drop
they might have it on tier 3

Or make the infest attack an active ability with a long cooldown, then give gaunts enough anti-air dps to not get 1v3’d by hornets

12 y of sc2 burned in my brain, this feels like replay is in slowmo...
What are the arrows even pointing at?? 😆
made ya look! :P
Should've given the $$$ to Frost Giant to finish the game. This is putting the cart before the horse.

Any race that doesn’t look like Terran has always been designed to be punching bags for the Terran-like race. Just how it is

Why not use hellbourne? They're the ultimate anti-kiting anti-infantry unit.
