The rant about Magmadons made me smile hard. You perfectly summed up my feelings about how they are being used. Infernals have a flying unit that can pick up ground units and then drop them all at once while also creating shroud that generates "white health" to the dropped units. It's like Doombringers were designed to be used this way, to do these kinds of highly damaging pincer attacks, and Magmadons are the perfect unit to block the opponent's escape route with; Baneimps might work too.
12:19 lol I love the idea of PiG crouched in the corner furiously eating his weet-bix while angrily grumbling to himself about players misusing Magmadons with Dot staring at him concerned
Everytime I come check out one of your SG cast the game looks so much better. Fog of war looks great, the overall lighting is really coming together quite nice.
yeah I know a lot of people are frustrated that it doesn't look finished, but it really just isn't. We're basically watching them publically develop the game, extremely rapidly in front of our eyes. Fascinating to watch what happens over the rest of this year with the 3rd faction and early access
I'd love to get some casts from you for this most recent build of the game! Saw some great games with Parting as celestials. I know your into battle aces but imo the game, while it looks awsome to play, doesnt have the drama of these bigger more base focused RTS!
If Magmadons are seen as so bad, why does it feel like half the games I see on UA-cam are Infernal vs. Vanguard with Infernal winning after Magmadons charge forward and stun through the Vanguard's frontline? Maybe it's just because that's what Infernal players do and there's an excessive skew towards that kind of game being posted? Really, I'd just like to see some mirror matches here and there if nothing else. Statistically, they should account for 50% or more of all games, assuming independently-selected factions, yet it feels like they account for less than 10% of the games on UA-cam. Of the last 10 videos posted on this channel, 9 of them were Vanguard vs. Infernal, and only one was a mirror match (infernal vs. Infernal).
I believe its similar to how the scout from starcraft (1) was considered bad. Its a good unit, but more expensive than what its worth. Its also practically the only mid-game (currently more of a late-game) unit for infernals that are good tanks and a damage sink, they can trample which shoves things out of the way and with an upgrade stuns enemy units for a short time, which makes them good to allow the infernals to get their units in a position where they can take out the real damage dealers for the vanguard.

Awesome game
Let me get this right, imps are ranged harvester units that you can later blow up like banelings? Yeah no, that's great.
