We run our registration online so we can get an accurate count of attendees and balance the teams out for the event, that way we can avoid going to tape.
Good video. I like your take on the game master dictating the variables of the game. When you sign up as a player for events like these you should always expect to be at the mercy of those controlling the op. As a result, things like uniform ambiguity could simply be a part of the immersive experience. That's not to say all events should be that way, as some are more or less restrictive than others. They all still share the guy behind the curtain pulling the strings, and it is his and only his vision for the game that will dictate what may happen on the field.
Hello. In Ireland, our main mil-sim events company sometimes use head gear as a uniform requirement. It is an inexpensive and easy option. People then can wear whatever kit, camo etc they want ie Boonie/bandanas V Baseball caps/Helmets. I run small introductory mil-sim style games on my local site & find it works. I usually ask people attending to bring both sets of head gear people, they divide the factions as balanced (experience & no experience in mil-sim gaming) as I can. Might work for your know small local Ops rather than tape.
I know what you mean by catering to more casual players, but I feel the uniform requirements make the game more enjoyable for all and helps with immersion. If you're running small scale games I feel like its not necessary, but it adds to experience for sure.
Huh... Green or Tan, I like that system. I wear CADPAT and I've always been confused if I would even be allowed to play in milsim. But I really hate the whole "Herp derp no you can't use a FAMAS, go get an M4 kid" like...seriously? This is a fucking game, I enlisted ages back and already been through that shit. Go fucking sign your papers if you want to feel like you're in the military and just let people have some fucking fun.
For small feilds where most airsoft is played. Colored Armbands are most feasible. One feild I went to puts uses colored duct tape and puts it on the back of your helmet and back of your arms. That way you are camo from the front but colored from behind.
For an event, close to a Milsim, i think green vs tan is the best option. We are a special club, the only one in the city (South Argentina). Arround 40 players and when someone new starts, we leave him to wear what ever he wants (if you want to dress like a giant chicken go ahead, will be fun). After the 3 months of trail, he will know that needs a multicam uniform and green jpc vest. We allready have our provider so its very easy and cheap to get them. At the same time we recommend to use m4 plataform. When we travel to an event its very easy to solve a problem with a mag if your partner use the same for example. From does 40 players, almoust every time there are 18 players traveling. Sometimes more, sometimes a few less. (Money for travel is the only problem). On the other hand we do have a second uniform, woodland. Was our first camo years ago, but now its a little bit hard to find it. so we jumped to multicam.
Saludos!

I get that for the normal rusfor units but you can use similar kit to the fsb guys now just in a diffrent camo pattern such as surpat. however for militia it's totally diffrent a militia is supposed to look like a militia with older gear and such
I agree looking at modern ones some are like that but we've organised events before with US Taliban and pmcs and had lads show up for Taliban looking like pmcs because they wouldn't ditch the high speed stuff or had other militia factions where guys showed in full aor2 and a pakol hat. I'm not saying you can't use some high speed gear like I've seen a lot of Gucci belts and crye g3s on militia kits and it works but there should be an essence of the type of faction your playing and there is a problem with lads trying to get away with looking as close to American high speed gear as they can rather than playing the faction you actually are. @@jackoneilsg1 Canadians actually shred their used CADPAT uniforms. @@finkamain1621 I mean, it makes atleast somewhat sense. When cadpat was introduced in the 90ies, it truly was groundbreaking, both the pattern and the materials. Cool
So what will slocam come under? (NATO country pattern)
The biggest break in immersions is boys with gay kit
personally the problem I see is the entire world is starting to move over to high speed stuff and to me if I'm on the Russian side I don't want to have to use crappy slow stuff that I've seen in a couple pictures once. I'm not from Russia obviously. but here's the other thing I've seen people from Russia who are wearing multicam and jpcs and helmets so that doesn't seem to matter either
(btw I'm Irish so I can only talk about my experiences in Irish milsims(
@@Bighoth98 hahaha yeah that makes sense I guess I catch your point unfortunately I can't speak for any milsims yet haven't been able to go yet maybe soon
I wanna see a team fortress event where teams have to wear blue and red, that’s be cool
Is the enemy of my enemy my friend, or my enemy?
SSP1 Review when ? :)
Hi Back, i'm Dara321AAA!!
Best Milsim West experience I had was when my team showed up as a CADPAT team. Russians had a hard time :P
That stuff is crazy!
Unfortunately (at least here in Europe) it is relatively hard to get and the knockoffs aren't quite the same.
I'd say, from my experience, not having seen all camos, the best for European forests are:
1 Cadpat or greenzone
2 Flecktarn
3 danish flecktarn
Danish and greenzone are better in lighter forests, Cadpat and Flecktarn more in darker forests.
@@jackoneilsg1 Canadians actually shred their used CADPAT uniforms. The government believes that the IR resistance that the authentic CADPAT has will "fall into the wrong hands" even though anyone in the world including the USA can purchase IR resistant US uniforms whether brand new or even used. Canadian government probably just shreds them because they love wasting money
@@finkamain1621 I mean, it makes atleast somewhat sense. When cadpat was introduced in the 90ies, it truly was groundbreaking, both the pattern and the materials.
Even now, some companies sell their new IR products only to military and law enforcement. UFpro for example. It's a shame for us airsofters, but I understand the reasoning behind it.
If you're not wearing CRYE bottoms what are you even doing in life.
A fast helmet on militia, used along multicam is definitely not matching any militia loadout anyone would accept.
Buff Seth rogan
