I picked up the JTM-1 and I'm blown away by the tone quality. Sparkly, fat, juicy, spongy, all the things you would expect from a "real" JTM. One of the best amps I"ve ever owned !!!!
Own one. These amps sound great with volume at 2- 4 range, tone at noon. Use a compressor for clean stuff, hit it with an overdrive for distortion. It IS a great recording tool. I run mine they 1-12 celestion cabs, greenback, Creme back and alnico gold.
Nice playing! This is a great sounding little amp, and I'm not even a Marshall fan. This one really cooks. Very warm and articulate. Makes that Strat amplified, if you get my understanding.
omg that strat is beautiful. I have a jvm1 and I love it. it excites me everytime I play it. they are worth every penny in my opinion. they started at 879 in canada but I got one new for 499 and I will never part with it.
Just received mine in the mail today, now I'm just trying to figure out the right cab for it, not sure if I wanna do a Marshall 1912 1x12 or the 1936 2x12...
Sounds great, too bad mine doesn't sound anything like that. With my Strat mine is spiky and with a kind of resonance that sounds like the tubes are going to fall out (obviously they can't), and with humbuckers it sounds mushy like a fuzz pedal. I tried replacing the tubes with JJs and also vintage Mullards and it's the same. Can't figure it out :(
Hi, I have the head and I'm running it with an Orange 1x12 with a Celestion Vintage 30. I wonder if the problem is only when I run it at 0.1W, the 1 watt setting is too loud in my room. Actually if I run it clean at 1 watt and use a distortion pedal it seems ok.
The 0.1 watt switch is really just für playing in the middle of the night. It doesn`t sound good imo. Use the 1 watt setting. It sounds a lot better. The same applies to my JCM-1 Head. ;-)
You sold it? LOL. You know, they're extremely limited numbers. Most people, haven't even seen one in person. Probably the last amp, you should have sold. Especially the JTM. Good luck finding another when it sinks in.

10 years late. But great video nonetheless! I fancy one used. Cheers from the UK ...

gingataff Have you got the combo? The difference between a decent cab and the combo speaker is like night and day
