+John Baxter Never used prepackaged Super8 tapes with paper backing. Microwave splicers, yes, splice tape off the reel, yes, but not these fiddly little paper backed things. It was driving me mad.
I saw your video and wondering if you bought your splicing block with the sprocket pins in it or did you drill out the holes for the pins. If you bought the splicing block with the pins already on it, where did you buy the block? Thanks.
Kodak stopped making Presstape some years ago, but the product has been taken over by a company in Illinois called Urbanski Film Equipment. You should still be able to buy it from them.
hi, I am pretty new to super 8 and was wondering wether you could cut sections from a 8mm film and then stick a different film onto the parts cut out. so when it plays it has two different films together playing?
Do you know where to get this tape? And is there tape for super 8 film? I have a super 8 film with a very similar break in it and would like to attach it.
Thank you. I've just broken one of my dads films from 1958. Hope I can find some of those tapes and a splicing block.
Where can I buy the tape and splicing block?
While this video’s way is obviously better. You can use scotch tape in a pinch. Just watch out for the sprocket holes.
Thanks so much, I had no idea how to use these!
+Laser Man Well, this is strange coming from a guy who claims to have worked making prints for LucasFilm back in the day!

+Laser Man Right. Sure. Have you no shame? Never mind--I'm ashamed for you, so you don't have to be.
