This was an enjoyable video, Bettina 😃 I follow your channel because of YOU, regardless of what style or medium you use 😊 Your art piece came out beautifully and I really appreciated hearing your thoughts throughout this video and your others, as well.
I would enjoy seeing more videos like this one (colored pencils) in addition to your watercolors and doodles. I can relate to your statement about getting bored and looking for something new to try.
Thank you so much Bettina I really really enjoyed watching you create with your coloured pencils. Very very interesting and so creative too. Please stay safe and well too xxxx Mags ❤❤❤❤
Yes, please continue to explore using colored pencils. I'm curious about this process on smoother paper. The texture of today's paper was distracting, although it was instructive to see the impact of the rougher paper. Thank you!
This was so very interesting, Bettina. The piece really sparks my imagination. I see several human shapes…. Very beautiful. Keep exploring this medium….
Bonjour, I’m very happy to see your work with color pencils. Yes, I wood like to see more of this media that I love. Thank you for your videos, and sorry for my very bad English, I’m French, from Bordeaux… Remy 😊
For coloring books, I gravitate toward mandalas, geometric shapes, and cats, but never open them. During the past year, I enjoyed going to Painting with a Twist. It is very relaxing when someone does most of the drawing for me. Lately I've done a lot of Zentangle and Doodling videos and used my colored pencils, using a sketchbook I bought during the pandemic.
Really loved this, Bettina 🤩🤩💕💕 It is always very interesting listening to you share your thoughts and process …..and yes….what you say DOES make sense …I can assure you 😊😊
I sometimes color stamp images when I need a brake from being creative. Also I love coloring books. Sometimes I make lines on the paper and I go back and color it in. I also do gelli printing. And making junk journal emphemera.
Very nice and relaxing video. Coloured pencils and watercolours are my favourites. My "fallback" art for when I'm struggling for inspiration is mandalas. In the last several years I've drawn my own, and coloured them mostly with coloured pencils. I've created several hundred! The drawing of the circular grid and then drawing the repeating shapes before colouring has become a very relaxing and meditative process. I often underpaint with watercolours. My favourite paper is Bristol smooth or vellum, or hot pressed watercolour paper, 300gsm, but other slightly textured watercolour papers also work well. I enjoyed the format of this video very much - your voice is very soothing!
Now, that was cool! I love watching your videos and I've even tried using a watercolor wash behind my doodles, like you. But I have the wrong paper to really make it work. I've also discovered that I actually prefer pencils too. And coloring books. 😂😂 They take the anxiety out of my desire to color. I, too, like the sound of pencils on the paper. I also liked how you couldn't help but include some doodles into the picture. Didn't they look perfect?! My point is - I'll watch anything you make, so do what makes you happy! 💜💜
I like using Derwent lnktense coloring and the. Adding water to blend them into different shapes. I also do drawings in black and then color over or within the drawings
Yes! More please! It's great to see the colored pencils being used freely and intuitively!
