Thank you! I am enjoying playing with them, and totally agree that the light colours are great!! I may have to try out the supracolors in stock pencils, and see if I can get singles of the very light colours to work with my ADs 🤗💗
I am about to turn 52 this weekend and finally get to pursue my childhood dream of coloring, using very very good quality pencil colors (didn’t have easy access to beautiful quality colored pencils nor are they easily available or affordable then). I watched so many reviews and finally decided on a set of Prismacolors and a couple of Hanna Karlzon and Maria Trolle coloring books. Absolutely love love the Prismacolors! I am a young child again 😂. I do wish I could afford the set of 120 Polychromos (priced at USD$350!!) and the Pablos (priced at USD$396!!!)
Ah, I am so glad you are getting to pursue this hobby and I hope you enjoy the journey. I think you have got some great stuff there to get you started.....I used only the Albrecht Dürers for 8 years before I got the Pablos. I think if you love your Prismacolors so much, you are sorted! Enjoy them until you are ready to try something else out 🤗💗
What an excellent review. Just the fact that you look at how they react with different media and on different kind of colouringbook papers, makes your review so helpful and interesting!! Thank you for sharing 😁
I know it's an older video, but maybe someone will still watch it. Like I did a few weeks ago.😄 I completely agree with you.🙂As someone who uses Polys almost exclusively, I can say that the Pablos are softer. I bought around 25 of them today.(After buying and trying one single Pablo, I ran back to the store to buy more 😂) I really love the pastel/light shades for example. There are a few Supracolor in there, as some Pablos were out of stock. I have to say, that they are a bit creamier. Just like the Polys and Albrecht Dürers. (I also find, like you, Dürers softer than Polys, Pablos softer than Polys and Supracolor softer then Pablos) Now that I have tried them, I know, that I will buy many more colors.😁 I missed all these shades in the Polys. Since I can buy them everywhere here where I live, (like the Polys and Dürers), I don't have to worry about where/if I can buy them open stock. This is definitely important for me as, like you, I use one or now two sets. 💕Thank you for this video Shelly!
You are most welcome, and thank you for sharing your views on the pencils, it will be very helpful to anyone who is considering these pencils. Thank you 🤗💗
I love my 120 set of Pablos and use them in conjunction with my Polychromos a lot. The Pablos have some pretty unique and beautiful colors in the 120 set and I'm glad they're available to purchase open stock.
I use pablos with my polychromos, in fact I have them in the same case together. It means I have lots more colours to use. I love the browns, blues, pinks and greens especially. There are only a couple that nearly duplicate the fabers.
Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts on these pencils. I've been thinking about purchasing these for a while but I really like watching several reviews before I buy. I love hearing the different perspectives.
Totally agree....I don't buy many mediums, but when I do want to buy something I will watch a lot of a reviews to try and make an informed decision! It definitely helps hearing all the different view points 🤗💗

@@shelscolouringjourney Hi Shelly! I am thrilled that you are taking the time to learn how the Pablos work in general, and on different types of paper and in books. Most people send them back or keep them on the shelf and never use them, but I know you will learn how to use them quickly😂💗
Hi Shelly, really good review. I believe your feedback is very valuable as a colorist that does not have tons of different sets (that’s a different talent) Beautiful pages 😊. I love my Prismacolors, however, one day I may actually get the Albrecht Durer instead of the Polychromos just to see I love them as much as my Prismacolors.

You have no choice but to notice her before anything else...and even when you try to look at other things on the page your eyes are still drawn to her!! Not sure why unhappy...it’s so amazing!!
These are on my wish list. I do want these badly. However, I feel compelled to dispute a comment you made about Prismacolors, which you said you don't have. You commented they are not layering pencils. But they are! 6-7 layers on the right paper. (soft, light layering). They are very soft and you can't color these with a heavy hand. Just letting you know. Enjoy your Pablos!
Thank you for correcting me, I guess I haven't used the Prismacolors myself so I wouldn't have a real feel of them. I will make sure to keep that in mind, thank you 🤗
@@shelscolouringjourney I'm a layering colourist and I layer Prismacolor pencils. They are great at it if you have a light hand. Some colourists are heavy handed with them and smoosh the colours together into blends. But that's the versatility of them, they can do both. However, I love my Pablos. Such a unique pallet. And as before I had them my favourites were Polychromos I do use them together because the colours complement each set so well and they layer the same. Hello, (from sunny North Wales) I have just found your channel and your thoughts on these pencils have been very helpful. (I have been thinking I need to try the Pablo pencils) I do enjoy listening to your voice (it is very soothing) I think I detect a South Walian twang?
Hello, I am so glad you found me! And thank you for the lovely comment, glad you like the video. Hopefully it gave you some idea of whether you want to test them out, stock pencils are always worth a play around with to make sure 🤗 Lol….my accent is a bit mixed up actually…brought up in Kenya and studied in Canada and UK, where have I now been for many years. But I haven’t been to Wales yet 😂
I love the Pablos. 💚 I do hope you will do some color alongs with them. There are not many available. Especially not color combos. Thank you for this video 💜🌻
Shelly, Thank you for sharing your thoughts on the Pablos. Would it be possible for you to do a tutorial using these pencils. It would be great if you could also incorporate different medias or different blenders (just the way you did in the mythograhpic mermaid page). I absolutely love your tuturials. I had Albert D. for the longest time and only started using it following your tutorials and have fallen in love with them. Would love to learn how to use Pablos in a follow along if possible please. Thank you for taking the time to share all your wonderful tutorials with us.
You're welcome, thanks for taking the time to watch the video! I will definitely be happy to share a colour along using the Pablos....I have playing around with them to get more familiar with them, and hopefully soon I can share something on the channel. And I will definitely keep in mind to use different mediums with it and blending options....thanks for the request 🤗💗
Interesting to hear your thoughts on these, I must admit, I don't use my Pablos very much, I do prefer something a bit softer, but I do like the colours in these, and they are undoubtably great pencils, just sadly not ones I reach for. Stunning pages created with them Shelly, they are clearly working well for you, x 👍
Yes, I have seen lots of different opinions about the Pablos. I am enjoying playing with them at the moment. I have never tried Prismas which is probably proving to be a good thing as I am sure for colourists who use Prismas, the Pablos would probably feel a lot harder 🤗💗
My Pablo’s sat on the shelf for a while after my first try. I pulled them out recently and discovered I really adore them. They are my new go to for magical leaf colors. They also work very well in conjunction with Polys.
That is awesome, so great to hear you have found new love for the pencils! I am definitely having fun playing with the Pablos at the moment. Beautiful colours 🤗💗
Shelly, thank you once again for sharing your thoughts about the Pablos. I absolutely adore the way you color. I find all of your videos to be so inspirational and they could never be too long. I bought my first Mythographic book Aviary” , which doesn’t seem as complicated as some of the others, thanks to watching your channel. I own the 120 set of Pablo’s as well as the 76 Set Museum Aquarelle. I’m so glad that you’ve explained that the 120 set of Supracolor is the watercolor version of the Pablo’s. I’ve always wondered what was the difference between the Museum Aquarelle and the Supracolor’s and now I know. Keep up the wonderful video content and have a lovely weekend!🎨💕
So glad you liked watching my thoughts about the Pablos, and that you enjoy my videos! It means so much to me....thanks for taking the time to always watch them 🤩 I am so excited for you! I really do hope you enjoy the Mythographic book as much as I do.....I sadly haven't yet got Aviary!! But there is no doubt I will eventually be buying it......from the flip throughs I have seen, it looks like a stunning book!!! 🤗💗
I use the few Pablo's that I have in my professional artwork. And occasionally in a coloring book. I would kill to have the full set and I am so happy for you that you were able to get them and enjoy them. They albrecht Durer are on my wishlist as well as the museum aquarelle.
They are lovely pencils, I am enjoying playing with the Pablos. I hope you manage to get a full set soon enough and definitely any other pencils you have on your wishlist 🤗💗
Thank you so much for reviewing the Pablos, I use them, I love them and together with the Polychromos, they are my favourites! The are creamy but harder than the Prismacolors, they hold their points really well so they have the best of both worlds. Also, the colour range is brilliant. I love everything about them.
I have been so happy reading all the positive comments about these pencils!! I do think they have a learning curve, but I am enjoying using them so far 🤗💗
Thank you for this fantastic review. I love that you took the time to really test these pencils out. A lot of others just swatch them and test their blending ability and that's the end of it. Your pages all turned out lovely. I'm sure you could produce wonderful pictures using any pencils 😊
The Pablo’s look as though they have a great color selection loved the video and your thoughts on them - I will have to save up for them ! Thank you 🇦🇺❤️. Chris
I would love to see you use the Pablo’s in future videos! I have a smaller set of 80 in CD Pablo’s. I haven’t used them much but would love to color along with you,
I have Albert pencils too and I do use them a lot and I love them The pencils that you're talking about Caran DAche are they soft or are they hard? I pretty much like the way that the Prisma pencils work because of this softness but I got used too Faber Castelle I also have poly chromos do you like the caran you just bought.
I have been wondering about these pencils for a long time so I very much appreciate your video showing your thoughts on them and all the different ways you have used them very very helpful and interesting thank you very much ☺️💗
So pleased you have chosen Pablos. I have them and love them but not used them a great deal a as I try to use all my sets evenly but would be so happy to see you colour with these as I know it will inspire me to use mine more ❤❤
Glad lots of you are interested in seeing me use the Pablos and have the pencils yourselves 🤩 hopefully I can share something with you all sometime soon 🤗💗
Hi Shelly, thank you for the review! Would you consider doing a tutorial on shading and shadows with pencils? I find myself really struggling with that on the page. Thank you!
Hello! Glad you enjoyed the video. Are you referring to shading and shows with any pencil? I have a video which is part of my beginner series already the may be interesting: ua-cam.com/video/0JTC7rlAZMc/v-deo.html Hope this helps 🤗💗
So lovely to see your colouring in different colours , I love all your colouring but seeing it with different tones and colours , they look beautiful ❤, thanks for such a thoughtful review . I used pablos probably for a good 15 yrs and I do have a few that I still re buy ( exactly as you said bluish pale , aubergine ) but there is soooooo much more choice now 🤸♀️and I prefer other pencils but I would love to see some colour with me with these ☀️.
Thank you so much, I am enjoying playing with new pencils. Although I still love the ADs lol. I totally agree with you, so many choices now and I think everyone will have such different preferences for pencils. Just for the Pablos, I have seen so many mixed opinions. I am glad to see that you used them for 15 years....that is amazing!! 🤗💗
Thanks for the thorough review! I was looking to find a pencil set that compliments my FC Albrecht durer and Polychromos and are a bit firmer than my Prismacolor. Going to purchase the pablos!
Glad you liked my review...I do enjoy the pencils and some of the light colours definitely compliment the Faber Castell brand. You can always try out stock pencils to see how they work for you 🤗💗
I just recently got the pablo's and I absolutely love them..! Not too soft, not too hard, just right for me : I've been using polychromos, but they make my hand hurt because of all the layering and the round barrel, so I've been looking for a replacement for a very long time. But I steered clear of the pablo pencils because I had heard really bad reviews here on youtube - scratchy, hard etc. Years later someone on youtube really loved them and then I bought a few open stock and was pleasantly surprised! Bought a 30 set and I'm slowly buying the rest open stock. Thank you for your review and the swatch chart! I'm going to copy the order you put them in, because Caran D'ache have a weird color chart, and like you, I'm used to faber castells way of setting up the colors.
So glad you gave the Pablos another shot! I haven't found any of the pencils scratchy or hard and compared to the polychromos, I definitely find them softer. Glad you are enjoying them 🤗💗
Beautiful pictures. So glad you did a review on Pablo pencils. My go to's are Polychromos but I also have Albrecht Durers. One of your reviews inspired me to purchase a few Pablo pencils. I wasn't crazy about them but then realized that it could be the paper and I need to get use to them because they are a little different than my other pencils. I've tried them in a few other books. I'm still on the fence. Once you feel comfortable, I would love to see you use these in a video. Thank you for sharing your thoughts with us!
Sorry to hear you weren't keen on the Pablos (glad you got only a few to try lol). They do take some time to figure them out to be honest....I am still playing around with them to learn how to use them to get the best results and the most enjoyment out of them. Hopefully I can do a video with them sometime soon 🤗💗
Brilliant review love that you give your thoughts .. I would love to try these as ppl say they are amazing .. I like you love my albrecht durer pencils with my polychromos they are amazing .. I also love my inktense .. tysmfs shel 🥰
Thank you for sharing Shel. I come from the other direction in that my first pencils were the Supracolor soft, set of 40, 44 years ago!! I recently acquired the Albrecht Durer 120 and built up to the 120 Supracolor over the years. I think they complement each other well, but I think the AD win on a consistency of texture, a couple of my Supracolor are a little bit harder than the rest. I love the thicker lead of the AD which speeds up larger areas. I did not have the Pablos, but I have a lot of other non- watercolour pencil brands. I think I might pick a few unique colours in Pablos to try though, the ones I use most in the Supracolor. Recently got the Distress woodless watercolour pencils to use for background and they work well with the ADs but match the ink pads too.
Thanks for sharing....it is interesting to see what everyone thinks about the pencils they use. I should try some stock pencils in the supracolours just so I can compare how they feel compared to my ADs. I may have to check out the distress woodless watercolour pencils at some point too....do you know if they are available as stock pencils? Thanks 🤗💗
Very beautiful colors in pablo carendache, you never find these colors anywhere else, so each pencils have other quality..but carendache are my favorite
I was kind of surprised you didn't go for the Supracolors, as they are watersoluble and the same color palette. I've purchased a few of both (along with a bunch of other more expensive brands) to try but haven't had a chance to yet because I'm trying to finish an acrylic painting that is taking a lot longer than I planned, and I'm one of those people who just has to finish what I'm working on before I start something else or I will never come back to it. Several greens, a light and dark of a bright color (different color for each brand), a brown.. enough to try a flower or such and get a good feel for them. I find that works much better for me than a 12 set which often is missing needed colors or has one each of bright unnatural primaries. I CAN mix from a primary palette but I really don't want to lol, it's too much work for me. I've seen swatch comparisons side by side of the Supras (same as the Pablos) and the Albrechts.. karenhullart has a comparison chart for watercolor pencils on her website if you are curious that covers six or seven of the artist quality brands... and really the difference is the pastels and the beige/browns. Otherwise while they are all so lovely in their tins there really isn't a lot of difference between lines in actual colors.. a few here or there.
Yes, I was aware of the supracolors being the same colour range as the Pablos, but this time round I did want to get a set of pencils that were not watercolour pencils. I don't think all watercolour pencils will feel the same as the ADs do dry....and I wanted a non-water based option. I am thinking i could add the colours I like in the supracolors as stock pencils to add to my ADs if I really need to. Thanks for your insight....it is always interesting to read 🤗💗
I have some pablos and I find them a bit hard to work with, I have the whole set including a special edition 30 set of the supracolours and I prefer to use those wet and dry as they are softer.
I've always wondered if all of the pencil brands get together and decide which brands are going to carry certain colors, that way they all can sell more pencils because it requires us to buy different sets in order to get certain colors?! 🤔
Lol!! I wouldn't be surprised if they did! It is surprising that just one brand can't have every sing colour out there 😂 Ah that would be wonderful!! Lol. 💗
thank you so much for the amazing review!! Anyone reading this, if you have pablo and poly, which do you prefer and do you think it is worth having both?
You're welcome! Sorry I can't help too much with this as I don't use polys regularly....but I do find that the Pablos do have some really lovely colours that the polys don't - these could be added to the polys to add to them. I have found the Pablos softer than the few polys I have tried....but hope someone who has more experience with both brands can answer your query better 🤗💗
I got black widows. They have some beautiful colors and the pencils work great in books. BUT getting open stock is not so easy. And I don't want to buy a new tin when I need one pencil. So I am trying to use my Polychromos more.
I agree, I do prefer having pencils where I can buy open stock pencils....in the long run it make more sense than buying one or two or even three new entire sets of a pencils just to replace a few here and there.....I love the flexibility of just picking one or two pencils when you need them 🤗💗
Yes you can! I just tried it out and it worked fine...so that's good. I will have to test it out a little more though to see how well it works with more layers etc 💗
Just a thought, since color order is very personal, but for me I find the "skin tones" fit with the earth reds.. like cinnamon, indian red, caput mortem, etc. Give them a swatch and see what you think.
Sorry, I won't be much help there yet....I have not yet started using them for skin other than on 1 page, and I don't think I knew what I was doing. But jus incase you wanted to play with that combo and improve on it, these are the pencils I used: 493, 071, 051, 062, 493, 491. Hope this helps a little 🤗💗
Caran d’Ache considers Pablo’s to be wax-based. They say they do not have any oil-based pencils. I really like them but tend to forget about them. I hope you will love using them.
I absolutely value your opinion on any pencil, I went for the full set of AD's based on your colouring style which is very similar to mine, I love the AD's. If a creator had come along who was clearly a huge Prisma (insert random pencil brand) fan and I didn't share their opinions on that pencil, then I would likely not share their opinion on another brand. We all have our preferences, personally I don't like the soft squishy pencils but I wanted to give the Prismas a try to see what all the fuss was about... I loved the colour range but the pencils are not for me, especially at our UK prices. I'm currently doing what you did and trying 3 open stock pencils from the well known brands, purely for the colour choice and as nope, I just want to pick up the pencil and colour and not have to mix up 86587287 pencils to get the colour that I want lol. Sorry for the ramble lol x
No need to apologise about the 'ramble'! I loved reading about your thoughts too!! And I totally agree with them....I wouldn't mind trying Prismas too, but like you said, not for the prices in the UK - and I do have a feeling I may not like them for the way I colour (although I have see how beautiful they work for so many people!). And....I am so glad you liked the ADs!! 🤗💗
I love my Pablos, I hope you enjoy them too. I think the colors are a great compliment to the Polychromos, especially for the lighter colors.
Thank you! I am enjoying playing with them, and totally agree that the light colours are great!! I may have to try out the supracolors in stock pencils, and see if I can get singles of the very light colours to work with my ADs 🤗💗

Hopefully it gave you some idea of whether you want to test them out, stock pencils are always worth a play around with to make sure 🤗
Lol….my accent is a bit mixed up actually…brought up in Kenya and studied in Canada and UK, where have I now been for many years. But I haven’t been to Wales yet 😂
I love the Pablos. 💚 I do hope you will do some color alongs with them. There are not many available. Especially not color combos. Thank you for this video 💜🌻
Hopefully I will do a video on the Pablos sometime soon 🤗💗
Your coloring is just getting better and better! You are so talented!
Thank you so much, means a lot!! 🤗💗
@@shelscolouringjourney Thank you so very much. I look forward to the tutorials and learning from you. 🥰
I would love to join in some colour alongs with Pablo alone or with Albrecht Durer
Great choice! They compliment the PC colors very well!
Yes, they are lovely! 🤗💗
Great video Shelly. Thanks for sharing. Your videos are always so enjoyable and relaxing. Keep them coming.😊
Thank you so much, so glad you enjoy watching my videos! Means a lot 🤗💗
It means so much to me....thanks for taking the time to always watch them 🤩
I am so excited for you!
@@shelscolouringjourney Thank you
I love that this brand has been around so long. Just seeing the case brings back so many childhood memories.
Have lots of fun!
Thank you so much , it is a lovely brand! 🤗💗
Thank you for the review most interesting the pages are fantastic as always would love to see you do a video using the Pablo’s
You're welcome, glad you liked the video! I hope to be able to do a video with the Pablos soon! 🤗💗
I love my Pablo's!! Happy you got these!😊
So glad you like them. Definitely enjoying them so far, but definitely has a learning curve to using them! 🤗💗
Incredibly sorry to ask, but do you prefer poly or Pablo? I have poly and was wondering about the Pablo! I have a few and they feel beautiful
I love my Pablos…. They are wonderfully versatile. Very blendible….
I have been using them more and I definitely enjoy them 🤗💗
Thank you for this fantastic review. I love that you took the time to really test these pencils out. A lot of others just swatch them and test their blending ability and that's the end of it. Your pages all turned out lovely. I'm sure you could produce wonderful pictures using any pencils 😊
Thank you so much, I am so glad you enjoyed this video! Thank you for taking the time to watch 🤗💗
Beautiful colorings! Glad the Pablo’s work so well for you.
Thank you so much 🤗💗
The Pablo’s look as though they have a great color selection loved the video and your thoughts on them - I will have to save up for them ! Thank you 🇦🇺❤️. Chris
Yes, the colour selection is definitely lovely! I especially love the lighter colours which I don't have available in my ADs 🤗💗
I would love to see you use the Pablo’s in future videos! I have a smaller set of 80 in CD Pablo’s. I haven’t used them much but would love to color along with you,
Thanks for the request and interest! Hopefully I will do a video using them soon 🤗💗
Looks like they work really well for you ! You have done beautifully with them . ❤
Thank you Jackie! They are lovely pencils....having fun with them at the moment 🤗💗
I enjoy my Pablo’s and Luminance pencils very much and I hope you do also. I am very glad to see you using pencils that I have.
So glad to read this! I am enjoying them so far 🤗💗
Pablos are my #1 favorite.
Oh wow! Great to hear....they are lovely, and I am glad to see so many people positive about them 🤗💗
I have been wondering about these pencils for a long time so I very much appreciate your video showing your thoughts on them and all the different ways you have used them very very helpful and interesting thank you very much ☺️💗
You're most welcome, so glad you liked the video and found it helpful! Thanks for watching 🤗💗
Looking forward to it ❤
Those pages are gorgeous.
Thank you 🤗💗
The colors from Pablos seem a good complement for Faber Castell. Thanks for the video 😊
Yes I definitely agree, especially the light colours 🤗💗
Hi Shelly, thank you for the review! Would you consider doing a tutorial on shading and shadows with pencils? I find myself really struggling with that on the page. Thank you!
Hello! Glad you enjoyed the video. Are you referring to shading and shows with any pencil? I have a video which is part of my beginner series already the may be interesting: ua-cam.com/video/0JTC7rlAZMc/v-deo.html
Hope this helps 🤗💗
You can always try out stock pencils to see how they work for you 🤗💗
@@shelscolouringjourney for sure. I bought some open stock instead of buying one of the sets. Looking forward to working with them!
Thanks for a wonderful video. 🎉😊
My pleasure 😊💗
Hopefully I can do a video with them sometime soon 🤗💗
i have the Pablos. They are my go-to pencils. My second is the Albert Duers watercolors
So good to hear this....still playing around with them, but I definitely am enjoying them. For me ADs will always be my number 1....I think! lol 🤗💗
Brilliant review love that you give your thoughts .. I would love to try these as ppl say they are amazing .. I like you love my albrecht durer pencils with my polychromos they are amazing .. I also love my inktense .. tysmfs shel 🥰
So glad you liked the review! They are lovely pencils.....still love my ADs the most though lol 🤗💗
@@shelscolouringjourney 🤗🥰💗
Hi shelly I don’t have these pencils but would love to get some to try.. ❤x
Hi Kylie! Yes, I would definitely try out stock pencils first to see if you like them 🤗💗
I have those pencils too and I like them. I hope you enjoy them 😊
Thank you, I am so glad to read so many positive comments about them 🤗💗
Thank you Shelly! I now have a better idea of which Pablos would compliment my Polychromos pencils.
You're welcome, glad it helped 🤗💗
Great to hear how many people love these pencils 🤗💗
Very helpful….thank you!
My pleasure 🤗💗
Really helpful review!
So glad it was helpful, thanks for watching 🤗💗
I love my Pablo's they are great
They are lovely pencils for sure!! 🤗💗
Thanks for sharing, so interesting to know. I will have to try some stock pencils in the supracolours at some point to see what I think 🤗💗
Lol. 💗
@@shelscolouringjourney Yes, I agree! Whichever brand is the first to carry all colors would probably get a lot of extra sales! I'd buy them for sure!
Is this pastel? Ot watercolor?
They are normal colour pencils 🤗
thank you so much for the amazing review!!
I agree, I do prefer having pencils where I can buy open stock pencils....in the long run it make more sense than buying one or two or even three new entire sets of a pencils just to replace a few here and there.....I love the flexibility of just picking one or two pencils when you need them 🤗💗
What do you use the Albert Dürer for? Do you only do watercolour drawings?
I use them on practically all my pages! 🤗💗
Did you try mixing the pencils? Could you use your indigo blue Polychromos with the Pablo's?
Yes you can! I just tried it out and it worked fine...so that's good. I will have to test it out a little more though to see how well it works with more layers etc 💗
Just a thought, since color order is very personal, but for me I find the "skin tones" fit with the earth reds.. like cinnamon, indian red, caput mortem, etc. Give them a swatch and see what you think.
Agreed....I think that is how my pencils are set up 🤗💗
What sharpener did you use to get those points!
I used the Tenwin electric sharpener.
I have Pablo’s my question is what colours do you use for skin tones?
Sorry, I won't be much help there yet....I have not yet started using them for skin other than on 1 page, and I don't think I knew what I was doing. But jus incase you wanted to play with that combo and improve on it, these are the pencils I used: 493, 071, 051, 062, 493, 491. Hope this helps a little 🤗💗
Caran d’Ache considers Pablo’s to be wax-based. They say they do not have any oil-based pencils. I really like them but tend to forget about them. I hope you will love using them.
Ah right, thanks for letting me know!! I am enjoying them so far, so hope I continue to 🤗💗
Are Pablo's a student grade?
They are artist quality pencils 🤗
