    Skills: Kn (Arcana), Kn (World), L (Nature), UMD, Perception, then either Trickery or Stealth
    Leveling Progression:
    1: Feats: Point Blank Shot, Precise Shot. [Spells: all the lvl 1s you can, plus you can learn scrolls]
    2: Discovery: Infusion (so you can buff teammates with Personal spells)

    Oh man this is the perfect build that I been looking for to start on my 2nd playthrough and azata to top it off. I for some reason always ended up playing alchemist as ranged and it was kinda boring but meele alchemist sounds amazing. Thanks for the great build and great video.

    Thanks for this build. I'm still not familiar enough with PF to have found a way to make this archetype useful. It interested me quite a bit for a while though. So I'm glad someone's broken it down into useful parts. Which means I'll have a far better chance of creating Incense builds for other purposes possibly.

    I always like the dual wielding line as a bomb-tossing alchemist as that also affects your fast bombs for if you really want to blow something into ash in the space of one round, but I can see the case for a reach weapon

      Interesting! I had not tought about using Dual Wield for more Bomb attacks 😀
      But yeah, reach is basically for the safety and more effective aura range for Incense Fog.

      @@cRPGBro I concur on that assessment, your builds and tips has helped me play it all the way through Hard without any difficulties and with the Enhanced edition coming out, this is going to be my MC for my first Unfair game, since I love playing with the companions instead of creating my own characters for their stories. you made Pathfinder fun for me instead of a chore at late game since I get so powerful by just knowing what to do.

    Love your Builds they helped me a lot. Running your Sylvan Sorcerer Azata Build right now and have to mention that the Instakill Spells are very nice if my party wouldn´t delete all the enemies in a few seconds anyways... First world Problems i guess

    Bro i just love your channel. Your builds are so sick. They arent super opimized and i like that for the most part you go full 20 levels of the class.
    Unlike some other degenerate builds who has like 5 different subclasses so you can have the highest AC but it feels like absolute shit to play until like chapter 3.

      To be fair, I actually think going pure 20 in many cases is fun optimization. And yep I do love builds that are good from the early levels!
      There are so many cases where dipping for AC won't matter because for example you are a spellcaster or have reach weapons/size enhancing spells/pet mount 😀
      I think people obssess about AC too much when in reality only the characters who truly are fighting directly next to the enemy need it.

    The Preservationist Alchemist ticks every box you listed Aeon build. They get bombs with CC and Dispel, Summon spells as Extracts, and have solid burst with the Fast Bomb and Holy Bombs discoveries.

      Preservationist seems interesting but I worry because the Summon Nature Ally spells are pretty... disappointing besides Creeping Doom which is OP.

    Unsettling fog is awesome btw. There is no save if i recall. If you succeed with the nauseated effect, you are talking a combined Will debuff of -6. Then if you have a merc or partymember that focuses on enchanment, (take a dip into crossblooded sorc, and take fey and undead, then mythic serpent so your mind effects work on everything...though some enemies are mistyped). -6 is huge

      Unsettling Fog is very useful indeed.
      I just find it better suited for a party that has a strong caster with mind affecting spells, like an Enchanter or Nenio as Illusionist.
      As my party was mostly melee besides buffing, I went with the other ones instead 😀

    Nice idea.
    Try doing azata arcane spellcaster focused on enchanting for the whole faye funny vibe with acid damage to make nature's qrath known when needed.

    Awesome build! I’m just finishing my Azata run. You are right about Life Bonding Friendship. It totally messes us last stand. Can’t heal them and they die at the end of combat. I would avoid it.

      Yeah, it's the main reason I kinda stay away from it. I'd prefer to be able to bring characters back with just HP spells, which Last Stand allows 😀

    Hey bro good video as always! Would you recommend running this with trickster and critical feats? There is something funny in killing demons by throwing deadly critical bombs at them

      Trickster would be better for an alchemist that is FULLY focused on bomb damage, which Synthesizer isn't as we only get half bomb damage progression.
      I'm planning on making a Grenadier build with Legend that has all the bomb damage though!

    I like this build. Especially becuase with a few minor tweaks it will work great in the stand alone DLC as a buffer/debuffer. Just give it a glaive or maybe a longspear and rely on bombs.

    Have you ever thought about an Aeon build? That is a path that looks fascinating story wise but seems hard to build for unfair. I’ve been trying to come up with something optimal and also fits RP with the path.

    Awesome build. Back in the day I used to make woljiff into alchemical synth build, since I really dislike eldritch scoundrel hah. Btw I was wondering, if increasing size modifier of alchemist increases the range of the incense fog?

      It could be that it increases it, but I didn't really notice any change.
      Alchemists can cast any of the Enlarge spells on themselves at least.

    I keep an eye on this class since the release, I'm a huge fan of the alchemist and I'm glad they fixed all the bugs. But I didn't know it still had access to mutagens, I thought it was a bug, turn out it's a feature 🤣🤣🤣

    The incense synthesizer is an excellent class. I think its better used on a companion than the MC though. It's mostly a support class, so the powers and features you get from the mythic paths, while not useless, aren't necessarily being used to their peak potential.

      Yes, it is why I said the build wouldn't achieve as high damage as some of my others, but we can still melee reliably for around 300 or so on a crit.
      I do think being able to go Azata is rather neat since you can restore both your Incense Fog + Bomb Uses to full multiple times before resting, nevermind all the great Azata only Mythic Buffs.

      @@cRPGBro I'm doing a playthrough with this, as the character fit my most recent concept (and the portrait I picked! :) ) perfectly. What I like most is the versatility of it. You can bomb, you can melee, and you're doing a good buffing job too - and then on top of that you have quite good skills and spells too. It's kind of a bit like a melee Bard with bombs :) Lots of toys.

      Unsettling fog is very helpful for a crowd control Azata but I think it would be better for Woljif so the person casting the crowd control can get the favourable magic. Something like a dirge bard. “Just because your dead doesn’t mean you can’t be part of the team.”

    Bro, you should try a modded challenge run using the Worldcrawl and Tabletop Tweaks mods. Maybe with a themed party or something. Would be a good challenge and fun to watch. :)

      Yes, and no.
      For "Yes".
      - It's very welcome for fans to spend time to make the game better.
      - Bug fixes for the current game.
      For "No".
      - These mods are buggy as well
      - WOTR already gives you everything you need to brake the game playing solo in unfair mode, because the DnD style table top games (no matter version) has a point there characters has so much power that there are no goal to progress the campaign as they broke anything you trough at them. Dragons, Archagels, Demon Lords, Devils, Gods... Whatever. It's only metter who would start first, because hight level encounters ends in 2-3 rounds. On top of that, you do not need 10th level spells to kill the deamon lord in a single hit.
      -- 10th level spells for every Mythinc path. It does not make any sense, especially if your spellbook is combained with spells that does not match your character. Angel with Deamon Aspects? Yeah, right. What's a point at all play Lich or Angel at all.
      -- Unlock 40 lvl cap for everyone. How I should feel playing a Legend.
      -- Supress overlapping spells that gives you size, enchanment, sacred, insight bonus... You do not need to invent the wheel, just follow the rules and apply the highest bonus value how the rules states. Or at least leave the most strogest spell and disable the lesser effect spell. How you suppose run the cleric with divine power + righteous might + frightful aspect + legendary proportions? They all are size dependant spells, but with some twists?
      - You make the Geniekind spell make as a weapon damage bonus as it's not true. If you "touch" someone with geniekind spell effect, you will get the damage damage back...
      - And many other things that does not make sense, do not fit to the rules...

      Call of the Wild mod was super fun for Kingmaker, especially the Summoner class.

    If this build is not as much dependent on the Mythic Path, perhaps this would be a good build to pair with Aeon? Especially since a lot of what Aeon is doing is already buffing the team

    By the way, have you ever done a summon build? I've searched your videos but could only find Elden Ring related videos. There are plenty of items that summon monsters in WotR and various items that buff them. Was kind of curious if it's possible to do a sort of "pure" summoner.

      I have not done a pure Summoner Build yet, but I have some ideas in mind.
      The only sad part is that enemies scale to such high stats in Wrath, especially HP, that it's hard to have summons keep up, besides some ultra OP ones like Creeping Doom.

      I had fun in midnight isle with a sylvain sorc going full summs. You def need other sources of dps but you do get a lot of space control as you can clog up any choke point or other things with summons. There are also some nasty skills, like the ghost that shows up in act 2 of the campaign with the pit spell, summons shine in baiting out those. Then there are the ghosts that remove levels when you get hit, another perfect time for summons.

    So i'm pretty sure you don't need charisma to cast Azata spells. On the speelbook page it claims that it would be the case, but you really don't need any charisma to cast Azata (or any Mythic Path spells) Spells.

    It's worth noting that greater range fog is bugged and reduces the alchemical bonus to attack and damage rolls by 1, so if you pick it as your first fog upgrade your fog literally won't do anything until later upgrade are picked.

    I know you like having a skald for pounce but have you given the kitsune a chance? They get a pounce and natural weapons. I made a swarm that walks that focuses on those so the whole party has it already.

      Kitsune with Vulpine Pounce can help, I really just prefer a Skald since it gives the it to the whole party without needing to get a feat.
      I also REALLY like the Human extra feat and the versatility it gives you as the +2 stat can go anywhere you want.

    Maybe I'm commenting too fast, but wouldn't going for Cognatogens be better? With the Death's Consonant Bardiche giving you Int to ab and dmg, you can be a decent martial while keeping up your Int for the bombs DCs if need be. If this is mentioned anywhere, well I spoke too fast. Edit: Indeed, the archetype doesn't have access to cognatogens, which is definitely a bummer.

      Cognatogen would indeed be better for the DC, but we can't pick it.
      However, Grand Mutagens also let you achieve super high physical scores to enhance the melee side and get high AC/AB/HP to boot!

      That is why I went with Azata, as you have multiple spells to restore its uses to full, while also restoring bomb uses at the same time, and all party abilities like Smite Evil & Domain Powers.
      But ideally you want to treat Incense Fog as Bard/Skald Song, so to conserve uses, you turn it on right before battle starts (so you don't waste an action in battle casting it) then turn it off after battle ends or the enemies have been nauseated.

    Not sure when it happened but I am assuming through the new patch but you can no longer get greater or grand mutagen. It would be nice have it however not sure for the cost of another level dip into another class. Any suggestions?

      Yes, having the possibility to select those mutagens were a bug so they fixed that, however, you can still make it work if you start the char with 3 level dip in Mutation Warrior if you want, the mutagens will still get more minutes bonus everytime you level Incense and you will be able to get the greater mutagen feat after that. Since your last incense bonus is at level 16 you won't lose that. The only problem is that you won't have the great discovery at level 20 but that's just a +2 on dex and con that you are losing.

    So how do you record all these builds? Do you use the Toybox mod to skip most of the game or do you do a full playthrough, all quests and all? I mean, if that's the case you must have literal thousands of hours in WotR.

      Some, usually the main Mythic Path builds I have on my guides, I cover the entire game with or from Chapter 3 onwards post true mythic selection.
      Others I test on key points at beginning/mid/end game, as it would indeed be kinda impossible to complete full runs with everything.
      But hey, I DO have more than a thousand hours on Wrath, 1519h if Steam is any indication 😀

      @@cRPGBro Hey CRPGBro, do you know the trick of being able to create new named character "game folders" (or tabs or whatever you call them, I call them game folders) by copying the GameID? It's pretty neat, means you can "farm off" various builds with their own names and their own sets of saves, from one build (say you've got a character pre Drezen mythic choice, you could have any number of characters with different names and builds spinning off from that - or from any character anywhere in the game, for that matter.
      Basically you make a lvl 1 char with a new name (I tend to build the lvl 1 char just like the higher level char's lvl 1 is going to be when respecced, just in case, but I don't think it actually makes any difference) and save it as soon as the initial market cutscenes are over. This creates the new named "game folder" that will hold the saves with the new name. (You could also just use the autosave the game makes of course, but it's prob better to have a more "permanent" version of the save).
      Then you load the save of your higher level char that you want to respec, rename it using Toybox and save it. This will rename the entire "game folder" with all the saves for that character to the new name, but don't worry, that's only temporary.
      Then exit the game and copy the GameID from the "header.json" in the save with the lvl 1 character and paste it in the appropriate place in the header.json of the save of the higher level character you've renamed and are going to respec. That will magically pop the higher level for-respec save into the same "game folder" as the new lvl 1 char, with the same new name, next time you fire up the game, and meanwhile that save will have disappeared from the "game folder" it was previously in, and the old "game folder" will revert to its proper name for that higher level character, the name it had before you renamed it to the new name.
      To do this, it's best to use WinRAR, which opens PFK/PFWOTR saves, and enables you to alter a json within the archive and resave it back into the archive without having to unpack and repack the archive. There may be other zip/unzip progs that do this, but I know WinRAR does it for sure (it offers a dialogue "do you want to save the changes back into the archive?" or something, once you hit save (in notepad or notepad++, whatever you use to edit the header.json) to save the document you've altered).

    Not sure if it's just me but the improve incense upgrade is not working ( my characters only get a +1 incense bonus) but the range and sacred upgrade seem to be working fine.
    Edit : I found an old steam thread mentionning this, supposedly if you pick the incense range upgrade your incense bonus goes to 0 and the upgrades can bring it back up to +2 and if you don't take the range then you can go to +3

    Does casting the Greater Mutagen 3 times stack the -2 penalty to Int, Wis, and Cha? It doesn't show a typing bonus to the penalty, compared to the Alchemical bonus to the physical ability scores.
    I think a freebie +2 Int is nice. But with Enduring spells, your Mutagen lasts 24 hours at level 6 (though 12 for this Archetype I guess), and technically you can rest 8 hours for spells back and just cast it again I think, so even without Azata you could stack it up.

      Nope, the penalty does not stack, so remains at a reasonable -2.
      Sadly Enduring Spells was long nerfed NOT to work with abilities or items anymore, only spells.

    Aren't demons immune to nauseated condition? Wouldn't that make sacred incense greater almost useless against demon not being able to nauseate demons?
    Also aren't holy bombs better than force bombs are they?

      Demons are immune to Nauseated but NOT to Alchemically Nauseated, which is what the Sacred Incense does 😉
      Holy Bombs can be nice but I prefer the knockdown effect, the Holy Bombs stagger only seems to come at the next turn, which I find boring.

    I think the incense fog is too limited, at level 20 it seemed you had around 20 rounds per day? Does it increase with intelligence or other stats?

      Azata is picked to increase the duration eventually, since you have a spell that can fully recharge it multiple times/day, although it comes somewhat late.
      Ideally you want to micromanage it by turning it on then off as to not waste rounds, thankfully most battles can end in 1-2 rounds.

    As someone with a severe case of restartits, I would normally complain that your awesome build makes me want to restart all over again.
    However, I was struck by inspiration after watching this video and would like to hear your expert opinion.
    This build somehow thematically fits with the Aeon mythic path.
    I never played Aeon before (only angel and azata at the moment) but based on what i've read on the wiki and watching your videos, this are my reasons:
    1. I've always viewed Aeons as beings that dont go for murder as their first option. Unlike the Gold Dragon's redemption fetish, Aeons feel like beings that forcefully make you repent (debuff) once and then kill you if you dont mend your ways.
    2. The Aeons summons are all golems. Very Alchemist-ish.
    3. Based on what i've read, the Aeon's Enforcing Gaze is oddly similar to the Incense Fog. I wonder if they stack.
    Anyways, that's what I think anyways.
    What are your thoughts?

      I think thematically it could work for sure, especially as far as reducing the enemy saves through the Aeon Gaze aura for higher Sacred Incense DC.
      I settled for Azata because at the core it is still a heavy support build, and thematically that really fit Azata to me. Plus the spell to restore BOTH potion & incense uses is really fun!

      If anything nowadays Incense Synsthesizer is even better as some bugs with it, especially Incense Aura upgrade were fixed.

      It can work mostly the same, except you'll have less DC and won't be able to recharge bomb/incense uses unless you go Azata on your main character, as these come from Azata spells which can be cast on other party members anyways.

    Would Aeon enforcing gaze work with incense DCs? Also, its rather late game, but with the ability to stack a single stat exceptionally high, perfect form could be very strong.
    Edit: some additional benefits of Aeon, with robe of seven sins and caster level gaze, you can extend to 24 hours with round per level spells with enduring spells, and you also get divine power through the Aeon spellbook. Between this the AB gaze, I would say you are significant better off than with incredible might, whose moral bonus doesnt stack with heroic invocation. You would have to cast spells whilst in combat, which is not very convenient, but a 24 perfect form, divine power, haste and similar spells is quite impressive, and you can at this point switch to bardiches significantly better than death's consonant. Alternatively, change to a better weapon type altogether. You would probably want contonagen rather than mutagen if going this route.
    If its not a no reload run, and you really need to prebuff your 24 hour buffs after a rest, then there is the book which has a chance to summon a hostile from lost chapel.

      Aeon can help, but I really don't enjoy how its Gazes are uses/day.
      Azata benefits are mostly passives or powerful spells with high duration.
      Azata can also enhance DC "permanently", +5 to INT from Believe in Yourself, +2 DC from Songs of Steel, +10 Morale to AB/damage, and to top of it all has spells to recharge both Fog + Bomb uses, while at the same time other nice party abilities like Domain Powers and Smite/Mark of Justice. Even Mutagens!
      And then there's also Aivu who can help.

      @@cRPGBro Second wind is certainly a nice feature, and believe in yourself and ode to miraculous magic are certainly a good buffs. Songs of steal at 1 round per level, and being only a single target buff with a handful of casts per day isnt really all that good imo. I really dont like the fact that incredible might is a morale bonus. The + damage actually isnt that large, and the AB is generally more important (+4 AB is +20% chance to hit, for example, whereas if +4 damage is +20% to your damage, you have a pretty bad martial build). So until the end of chapter 4, its not a large upgrade over greater heroism, and the AOE version is never a meaningful upgrade over heroic invocation.
      And if we are talking lategame, the ability to get 24 hour divine favour, perfect form etc. as well as infinite enforcing gazes that are party wide and debuff the enemy strikes me as quite a lot better than the buffing potential of the Azata. Features like restoring ability usage and a incredible might being significantly better than heroic invocation come online within the same few hours where Aeon gets perpetual gaze and the ability to buff both mythic spellbook and class spellbook caster level to 25+ with the robe. You also have a very good buff from the bounds of possibility cloak. And greater Aeon's bane is a rather powerful ability, albeit very finite. I see myself playing this primarily as a buffer/melee damage dealer, and I think Aeon has a lot of potential, particularly on boosting what wont be a fantastic AB.
      Personally, I think Azata's best features are zippy magic and favourable magic, which really pigeon holes the mythic path to mainly working well with offensive casters.
      If you really want to focus on bombs, second wind at rank 7 is undoubtedly useful. Otherwise, I am not sure that Azata is adding a massive amount to this build.

      24hr buffs are nice to have, but for that you need to pure caster, select specific gear, classes, feats to make it happen. And it's not worth to do it as you need cast buffs while you are in the fight. Too much micromanagement and always prone to human fault.
      Aeon's the strongest weapon is a dispell, single target or aoe. It's easy to trigger and a effective as hell. It's so good to see how monster 80 AC drops to 50 AC, and removes all annoying illiusion spells. Be in grate visibility and you attack to flat footed AC, so, it drops to 30 AC. That unlocks even the weakest party members to make damage.and feel that all party members matters. Not only sit in the backline and make buffs.
      It has long list of immuneties, including physical damage for a few rounds to deal with monsters... It allows your char and mythic path abilities to be offensive. I'm playing on unfair and I'm not bothering with last stand.
      But the Aeon is a late bloomer, and you need to hit Mythic Path 7, to start to overpower any deamon, deamon lord, anomalies, whatever game thows at you.

      @@leevothas It absolutely would be worth doing it on alchemist with a +8 alchemical bonus to raise all stats to the same level for 24 hours, or to get a +6 bonus to hit and damage from divine power. Its not particularly error prone. You just need to do it in a combat encounter where you can spare the rounds. I am not saying its the best build in the game. There are a variety of builds where getting your buffs to caster level 25 is a big deal, and most mythic paths cannot do this. Aeon is one of 3 which can, and its unique in being able to do this with its mythic spellbook and with any casting class other than those which start with a 3 caster level penalty. Having to be in combat is inconvenient sure, but if it would otherwise be a big deal, and you dont mind save scumming, its possible to summon a trivial enemy to put you into combat for as long as you need.
      Merged spellbook casters are better dispellers than Aeon. The caster level of a lich is superior to zero state, its not a party unfriendly AOE centred on you, and it applies corrupt magic applies a very nasty debuff. Its also accessible earlier.
      I would say the Aeon's ability to buff AB is probably its most exceptional quality, particularly for builds that wouldnt otherwise have divine power, and perfect form, whilst very lategame, is pretty godly for the right build.
      As for being a late bloomer, so is azata frankly, unless you are an offensive caster. Its basically merged spellbook angels and liches, as well as tricksters which feel powerful early. Demon is an intermediate mythic path in terms of power curve, and things like aspect of the colloxus or aspect of the balor can be rather powerful at rank 5.

      @@notalefty999 For meele focus character is a waste of time to cast a dispell type of spell as you could activate bane and swing a weapon with a grate cleave. It makes damage in aoe, it makes dispell, if you you do have destructive dispell feat, it could stun mob as well. So, at least you have 20 round of constant dispell ability with making zero casting, and dispell works at 31th caster level with zero investment in making it stronger. Of course, you could take caster level gaze and get extra +4. To be true, it's quite enough 31th caster level to dispell almost all spells from the most bad ass mages in the enemy lines.
      If you dispell somebody, it is longer makes any difference if you apply nasty debuff on top or not. Just swing Grave Singer with 800-1000 damage on the crit. Anything that's still standing on the field after 7-8 attacks, is easy prey to the team.
      On top of that you could use Aeon Bane with spells that makes autohit, not affected by spell resistance, and there are no way to avoid damage like magic missle (shield could protect), inflict light wounds mass, tar pool.... As long as you could make 1 damage. And, of course, summons shares the same dispell application.
      Zero state, true form, relativity, mythic suppression... Additional fancy tools to dispell something with +10 to caster level.

      @@cRPGBro With such high INT, the destructive dispell would have high DC even for Fortitude save (overall it is the highest save in the entire game), not counting that the mobs should roll for the save for every effect you dispell. Even my Aeon with crappy DC could force to roll 1 out of 10, 20, 30...rolls. And in the end of the game mobs are prebuffed with tons of spells. So....

      And, yes, Inevitable Excess is very painful as the mobs are doing tons of physical damage that could wipe out 400-500-600... HP of several chars in a single attack. Displacement, blur, mirror image not always are helping to save your skin. It's my playing ground for my ideas of the builds.
