I absolutely love you two together! Your interaction is so comfortable. This episode especially hit so many issues I had to deal with when I moved several states away a few years ago.
Becca, I actually saw your channel first during one of your lives from the hotel back in the day. It's been fun watching the transition to the new sewing space. This is going to be a fun new direction. Can't wait to see how this podcast evolves.
Love the interaction between Becca and Ian. It reminds me of siblings who have the same temperament. I enjoy them talking together.
Hello. Loved your first Podcast and keep being yourselves-it’s great to watch.
It is wonderful when we have friends that take the fabrics we no longer need. I live near Rochester. NY and we have a couple of places to donate crafty items. One helps support a hospice
home and the other supports eco friendly and they even take old sewing machines to keep these items out of the landfill. They then provide these items to those that can not afford to purchase full price crafty items as we’ll s free sewing classes,
I just moved from west coast to east coast and absolutely over packed my stash. We didn’t know where we would end up so my boxes were held for months by the movers. I tallied 300 total boxes of which 5 boxes were kitchen, 7 boxes were clothing and 76 boxes were crafting supplies.😝
I love you guys! I feel like I'm hanging out with old friends!
Great podcast! Congratulations Becca & Ian. What a great way to wind down and laugh. Looking forward to the next one.
Really enjoyed this new format looking forward to what is to come. Love the two of you together.😊
Glad you enjoyed it!
I loved this! Keep the podcasts comjng. It is so refreshing to hear your stories! Cannot wait for the next one.
Watching for the 2nd time. I absolutely loved this premiere of your new podcast. SewOffKilter, you 'guys' together are just great together.
Fun chat, nice to watch while working late. 😊
Hello guys!! I’m soooo excited for this!!❤
Hello! Hope you enjoy the episode!
Boy, time just flew by while I was listening and working on my cross stitch. Great topic and looking forward to more. Long time subscriber for both of you.
This was so much fun. Thank you for sharing your journeys. 💜
I learned to do EPP when we were displaced from my sewing stuff. I wish quilting was more portable. Enjoyed the podcast! Did not disappoint!
So good! Talk about anything. I love knowing you’re in my area. Maybe you could tell new quilters like me if there are upcoming events in NOVA or surrounding areas? I went to the Artistic Artifacts Kaffe event a few years ago in Alexandria. Got to meet the store team- and Kaffe and Brandon. So cool.
I am in love with this program. The one thing of advice to another moving (moved a long arm business one but twice in a year in a half and then move my personal sewing room) donate but keep the best - rulers, books and material and my collection of sewing machines. just saying.
Hi Becca and Ian! So glad I caught your first Episode!
Hope you enjoyed it!
I have a lot of stuff. I can’t resist buying new fabric even when I may have exactly the right piece in my stash.
I hope never to move until I move to that big quilting bee in the sky. My stash will be someone else’s problem😂
It’s great to spend some time with you two. ❤
So glad!😌
??? Ian how close to Becca are you going to be living? Yes, 9 years ago hubby retired and we moved 3 states away to Michigan. I did have a couple of projects to hold me over until the truck arrived. It has been a journey in starting to organize a new sewing room. Over the years I’ve expanded into the basement family room. Heating the basement was a hurdle to overcome but now I sew every day for sometimes hours.
Great job keep up the good work you two.
That’s a lovely treasure: “Mom made it!”💖
I couldn’t agree more!
I enjoyed this! Thanks

Hi again. Ian, Becca & everyone👋
Hello there!
I sold my home in Ft. Lauderdale and at the same time was living in NJ. Packed up both homes & moved to No. Central, Florida. (I think we had a caravan of moving trunks traveling North to South & South to North.) I designed & built my home here in No. Central, FL. (All while undergoing surgery & treatment for “C” at University of Florida.) I must’ve been out of my mind! LOL! But it actually happened! Like you, Ian: It’s all good!🫶
Wow! That was a LOT to deal with! Glad you got settled!!!
@@SewOffKilter amen! I felt your hearts🫶
Re locking him in the basement, the first basement sewer that comes to mind said things like “It puts the lotion in the basket”…..
My last move, I used my fabric for wrapping dishes and fragile items
Oh, that’s a neat idea!!!
❤❤❤❤
Great first podcast
Hello from New Mexico! You guys are terrific! Great podcast. Personally, I would rather have surgery without anesthesia than move! Best of luck to you. Hope you don't have any effects from the hurricanes.
Surgery without anesthesia?! That’s saying ALOT!
Great podcast
Love the quilts
Thank you!
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
so sorry I missed the premiere I have been stuck on the weather as I have family in Florida, and I was filming a video. So happy you two are doing this
No worries! Hope the family stays safe!!
hello from Tampa
Stay safe!!! Praying for you!
Prayers and positive thoughts
Prayers for you and your city
Hello! Praying that you stay safe!!
Absolutely enjoyed it!
I am right with you as a space person who can pack 1000 lbs worth of stuff into a 10 lb bag.
I sewed in a camper. Where there's a will there's a way...lol
Absolutely!
Dr. Mario!
We moved 5 1/2 years ago. As a quilter who has been collecting fabrics, sewing machines and all the accessories for 40+ years, moving was exhausting. Also, we went from a quad level home with a huge sewing room to a one-story small home. I hope we never move again. That said, if you should ever move to Indianapolis Ian, you can ship boxes to us for safekeeping.
Awesome! I’ll keep that in mind if I ever end up making a move in that direction.
It’s Showtime: 7:02❤
❤️❤️❤️
Hi Becca and Ian
Hey 👋🏻
Q ....... My Question for both of you is, when did you start sewing and how old were you and do you remember the first thing you made and how proud of it, were you ?
After my Mother passed away, I moved out our apt, and had to pack up her sewing room, and there was a good amount of fabric, and I put it in Tubs, so my then boyfriend at the time, said lets put some fabric in moth balls, and it was a whole tub of Christmas fabric and when I opened up the tub, it ALL WENT IN THE TRASH, I couldn't use any of it, it smelled so bad. I didn't know any better, b/c, I knew how to sew but was never interested in it, until 4 yrs ago. I mostly sew little, easy to handle stuff, and made a couple of baby quilts, but thats about it.
did your job relocate you or did being closer to your partner in chaos Mrs Becca
I work remotely so took the opportunity to move to a new area.
Does sewing in a hotel bother neighboring rooms?
I didn’t have any issues, but the hotel we were in literally had kitchenettes and I think a large portion of the residents were LIVING in the hotel.
@@SewOffKilter thanks. Am hoping I will be put in the hotel my the south interchange, it has kitchenettes too. If put in the one in town, could be a problem.
Who moved where?
Ian moved from Dallas, TX to Northern VA
@@SewOffKilter wow. Big weather difference. Good luck.
Did Ian move near you sew becca
Yes!!
The joys of moving...sigh
Haha!
