One of the best sewing room organization videos to watch. What is your style of managing your stuff? Everyone's different, so the advice how to make your sewing room into a personal space. I'm a bee & have organized my stash by designer, category, then color, since I started patchwork quilts. Ikea has these new transparent plastic bins with covers that fit the Kallax. These come in full height 13 inches & same in half height 6 " so 2 can be stacked in a Kallax cubby. It's called the PANSARTAX. Also, if you like pegboards, the Kallax now has pegboard doors to put on the cubbies. Called-- Kallax Insert with pegboard. Great if you don't have a lot of wall space for a pegboard & use a Kallax unit&r rather display your quilts on the walls instead of sewing tools.

I have a major problem when things dont come out the way they are supposed. It's easily manufactured, so it will still work. However, because it's not exactly as it's supposed to, i lose my will to finish.

Thank you for this discussion. I had an ah ha moment. Get my hero fabrics out of colored area. Mine are definitely lost with colors. I do need to revisit fabrics to see if they all still spark joy.

Hello everyone!

I have the same story like you Becka, i was an Art major in high school. Ive done it all, knit, embroidary, even stained glass. I have always loved to sew. Made all my daughters clothes when she was little and hubbys shirts. Didnt sew for 35 years. Looked at you tube, found these videos on quilting and 3 sewing machines later, here i am still loving it. Not all that good at it, but so much fun.
