Josh, some tips for the GoPro mount: The GoPro mount was so weak because it was printed flat. Tensile (pulling) strength in 3D prints is weakest along layer lines (so up and down as it comes off the build plate). You can make it better by rotating the part 90 degrees so that the loops the GoPro attaches to print flat (the printer draws a ring of plastic for the inner part of the shaft and a big loop of plastic going all the way to the part that touches the drone for the outside perimeter). You'll need supports, but the extra filament and cleanup is worth it. This may move the weak point to the screw holes for the mount. A 45 degree rotation might be a good compromise. Scrub up and down through the layer display in your slicer and try to suss out whether there are enough loops to get the strength you think you'll need. If not, you can rotate the model to give more loops to the screw holes (or vice versa). Also, printing with thicker layers is usually better for strength (for tearing forces, a bunch of small strands can tear one by one until they're all gone, but in the same amount of space, thicker strands will withstand more force before failing that way). For more info on layer adhesion strength testing, look at some of CNC Kitchen's videos (try searching his channel for "layer adhesion" or "strength"). HTH.
You can't print TPU with support unless you have dual extruders and use a different type of filament for the support. If you use TPU as support, it will not be removable.

Hi Josh, I would like to get into fpv drones and I have found you recently. I really like ur content. Could you make a series about building fpv drone for 300$ for beginners ? I would like to start with flying. Have a great day.
I love my Nazgul . I have a Nazgul Evoque as my daily flyer . I was kind of bummed out tho after I bought a new Pheonix 2 JB edition and discovered the stock wiring setup in the Quad has 3 wires but the JB edition has 4 . I'm not sure what I need to modify to make it fit . Other than that it has served me well .
For the few hours I've put into my BnF, the torque I should be putting into things has been a guess. I think a few times I've stripped a nut because I wanted something to not come loss and was guessing how much force I should apply.
That’s kind of insane.. iFlight has learned from a lot of manufacturing mistakes in the past, so you’re actually getting a way better drone than what was available before for the same price.
I did build your kit with 03’ it’s ok, the tutorial was fair. You are my primary resource for Fpv. However I actually was not that impressed with the qav-s frame.
I would pick up one but I have an issue with the goggles and controller - I use DJI goggles 3 and DJI RC3 - I read confusing information about whether or not the drone connects
Purchased one, based on this review. I received version 1.1. The TPU printed parts are now injection molded parts. The XT60 plug is embedded in the molded part at the rear. I don't like that since the lead on my lipos is now too short. The ELRS receiver uses plugs and an extension cable. So four plugs in total. I notice some packet loss no matter what distance. It's fluctuating between 90 and 100 all the time. I wonder if that has anything to do with the way the receiver is connected to the FC.
Hay i have finally made the financial step and bought my first drone, don't hate me but i bought a second hand dji avata i have ordered a controller but all in all for 650€ im happy, i mean the dji goggles are the v2 and them alone are like 400€ and the controller is 150€ and thats not taking into account the the drone and the motion controller. My thoughts process is use the avata till i get good and confident and save up about 400-500 ish to build my own dji O3 air unit drone hopefully by then the price drops 🤞iven 50€ drop and i would be happy and im thinking a 5" 6s, feel free to give ideas and recommendations So yeah i have officially joined the community and a great one at that.
What book would be the best thing to read in order to understand drones and the equipment needed to fly them? Like I’m brand new to this and I’m so lost on EVERYTHING!!!
I am new to FPV drones. What all would be required if I get the optional iFlight ELRS 868/900MHz RX and Commando 8 ELRS Radio 868/900 MHz V2 TX offered on the sight in the link? I have chargers and I can secure batteries. Thank you much.
Thank you so much for this video, I just got this drone! I added an HGLRC M100 Mini GPS, but I can't seem to find a file for the GPS TPU mount you have in this video. Any ideas?
worst thing about iflight is their 6s 45 amp 4in1 esc they suck! ive now burned trough 3 esc in 1 month and yes i used the capacitor that came with it and used the right kv motor for the 6s esc
happy it was good for the money i bought it for my starter absolutely loving it posted some footage on my channel if anyone wants to see some more dvr footage
Hi, begginer question, if I buy version with DJI O3 air uinit with ELRS controller, can I also P&P my DJI Remote Controller, or do I need to get elrs radio? Thanks
From a review standpoint, I prefer the DVR footage over a GoPro. It shows the audience exactly what to expect when they fly the quad.
Josh you’re the most honest evaluator about Drones! Excellent job for many years. Thanks!
No he isn't. He's showing the version with GPS and receiver which is almost 300 dollar. Saying this is a 200 dollar quad is very misleading.
My Nazgul V1 is still kicking! Years of absolute abuse and only replaced 1 arm, a camera, and the vtx. The thing is an absolute tank
Same, its awesome. If i would only bought 6s version instead of 4s
i get it but all this proves is you aint trying hard enough. lol

If you couldnt buy a 5in in the past there you go, you can buy 2 , you cant loose, and they Iflight!!.....grab em guys....my old Iflight still poping just like its new, over 3 years now.
Other than that it has served me well .
what a nice intro ! tkx for reviewing this quad
However I actually was not that impressed with the qav-s frame.
i got my speedybee mario5 based drone for less than 200 bucks, with really good specs
Got mine too... Awesome drone.
I would pick up one but I have an issue with the goggles and controller - I use DJI goggles 3 and DJI RC3 - I read confusing information about whether or not the drone connects
I Love your Videos about IFight Drones👍🏻
Purchased one, based on this review. I received version 1.1. The TPU printed parts are now injection molded parts. The XT60 plug is embedded in the molded part at the rear. I don't like that since the lead on my lipos is now too short. The ELRS receiver uses plugs and an extension cable. So four plugs in total. I notice some packet loss no matter what distance. It's fluctuating between 90 and 100 all the time. I wonder if that has anything to do with the way the receiver is connected to the FC.
4 years later and the Nazgul is still one of the best affordable BNF on the market.
reckon it would fit an avatar in there?
Hay i have finally made the financial step and bought my first drone, don't hate me but i bought a second hand dji avata i have ordered a controller but all in all for 650€ im happy,
i mean the dji goggles are the v2 and them alone are like 400€ and the controller is 150€ and thats not taking into account the the drone and the motion controller.
My thoughts process is use the avata till i get good and confident and save up about 400-500 ish to build my own dji O3 air unit drone hopefully by then the price drops 🤞iven 50€ drop and i would be happy and im thinking a 5" 6s, feel free to give ideas and recommendations
So yeah i have officially joined the community and a great one at that.
Would the frame host an original DJI air unit ?
I have one lying around and would probably wana replace the VTX.
Wish it had shipped without a VTX
No definitely it wouldn't fit.
The soft mount is very annoying cant get the cam tight enough. Frequently transmitting vibration. The older Nazgûl’s cam mount was better for analog.
AT32 not really less expensive, with today stm prices can be about 0.5$ difference
Gonna review the new BetaFPV tinywhoops? Curious to see your thoughts.
What book would be the best thing to read in order to understand drones and the equipment needed to fly them? Like I’m brand new to this and I’m so lost on EVERYTHING!!!
That 1.6 watt vtx could be giving that gps unit some problems...
That vtx looks like blitz 1.6k on my analog Nazgûl you called it a”rad”? Is it an different. I guess it doesn’t matter.
Maybe I'm doing something wrong, but when I added eles and gps, it was over $300.
Yeah he reviewed it barebones
I got one and love it!!
I like the dvr
Joshua changed his shirt at 8:46 for those wonderin
Oh man i forgot about the part where the old vtx have microphone support
Billy Mays here!
Looks like they took the V2 and changed the CAM mounting plates. looking at my V2 now that is still going. this Eco is cheaper... damn. not even mad.
Looks like I flight is giving us the "ukraine war" discount
Does it ship with bluejay installed?
Yes, i have one
Any goggles recommendations for the Nazgul Eco?
I am new to FPV drones. What all would be required if I get the optional iFlight ELRS 868/900MHz RX and Commando 8 ELRS Radio 868/900 MHz V2 TX offered on the sight in the link? I have chargers and I can secure batteries. Thank you much.
The Iflight Nazgul V3 is 75 more dollars. Is the V3 worth the extra? That’s also with ELRS receiver
Thank you so much for this video, I just got this drone! I added an HGLRC M100 Mini GPS, but I can't seem to find a file for the GPS TPU mount you have in this video. Any ideas?
I always have a hard time locating the video links below. I would buy a lot more from the links you provide if I could find them.
Find a zoomer and ask them to help you find the links. Thank you for supporting me.
Since this is analog, would I be able to bind and fly this straight to the goggles and controller for a Tinyhawk 3?
My 2020 DC5, now inside an AOS5 frame, has been flying since without an issue. Almost every day.
worst thing about iflight is their 6s 45 amp 4in1 esc they suck! ive now burned trough 3 esc in 1 month and yes i used the capacitor that came with it and used the right kv motor for the 6s esc
happy it was good for the money i bought it for my starter absolutely loving it posted some footage on my channel if anyone wants to see some more dvr footage
Hi, begginer question, if I buy version with DJI O3 air uinit with ELRS controller, can I also P&P my DJI Remote Controller, or do I need to get elrs radio? Thanks
