@Eric Burkheimer Actually, the more likely reason divorce rates went up is because women started working and making their own money so they didn't feel as pressured to stay in marriages for financial/independence reasons. It has nothing to do with people not taking their vows seriously. That said, I do think people (especially women) feel very pressured to marry ASAP and they don't think about if it's the right decision for themselves or not. They end up in relationships that just won't last, but they realize much too late.

Simon Gallagher they bypass the vocal fx when shes talking to the audience, and there was a lot of compression and other enhancements on her voice so their would be a big difference between singing and speech.
Those points are vaild but I've come across a video of Parton singing Jolene at a recent gig in Australia and it sounds exactly the same as this. This does not prove she is miming but it certainly suggests it.
Simon Gallagher well it is the same singer, and likely the same sound engineer with fairly strict guidelines for the sound mix. She wont be as strong nowadays and would expect a preset sound mix to compensate which would probably travel with her. I say this with knowledge not just guessing
Please look at the face of musicians, pure joy, love and adoration 💕🌸🥰❤️
That's cool. You're very smart. God bless you, Archana..!! How are you doing today I hope you enjoyed the sweet melody of Dolly's song Right 👍? Coz I'm a big fan of Dolly Parton.💞😇👀
I read a Rollingstone article regarding this festival and Dolly’s performance. It said she drew in the biggest audience of the festival by far, many more than what one would think over big Rock and Pop acts. The crowd was crazy for her and rightly so. Dolly is a worldwide Superstar and has been for decades.
shes so down to earth she didnt think kids at Glasto would get her THEY LOVED HER , she was epic that day
Dolly Parton is an international icon. She is a shining beacon of positivity in a world full of chaos and despair. She’s got so much love and compassion, and I think that’s what makes her so mesmerizing. She is quite literally the best of us. ❤
What a consumate professional who truly seems grateful that millions enjoy her work. Who doesn't love Dolly Parton?
I love that the security members are all enjoying themselves too!
Hello how are you doing today???
a natural bubbly lovely lady. looking great at her age. what a unique voice and writing talent.
Thanks 🙏 for your lovely comments, I wouldn’t have gotten this far with out you my lovely ☺️ fans. Have you been too my concerts before?
"Jolene" is the queen of all country songs. periodt.
She looks so surprised and happy!! Love you Dolly!!
Hello how are you doing????
This woman’s voice has always been amazing!
Such an ease, relaxing signing in this age, she is a true legend
Even after so many years her voice never changed still so sweet
Dolly is forever and always the Queen of Country!
Dolly Parton is one of a kind, and should be cherished forever.
beautiful dolly,I named my only daughter JOLENE because of this song she's 28 now and her beauty matches her name and this song thanks for making it love you!
Has she taken anybody´s man???
+Matthew Song ,no been with the same man for 11 Years and has his 3 children.😁
+Irene Camarena lol. A different kind of Jolene! That's awesome!
***** thank you,she is my only daughter, and she named one of her sons "Hendrix" after Jimi Hendrix,we love music lol.
Irene Camarena Thats great! Glad shes happy :)
...and on top of it all, she has been married for 53 years (to the same guy).
Class all around.
They end up in relationships that just won't last, but they realize much too late.
not being married to the same guy doesnt mean a woman doesnt have character
What a stupid statement.
@@SelphieFairy "The reason is because" is nonsense. Do you want to present what or why the reason for something is?
@@Pe6ek Yeah, sure. Dolly don't take shit from men, so if she wanted to divorce or leave someone for being a shitstain, and she would, and she would also approve of any woman for wanting to the same thing. (: Suck it.
Somehow, in this live version, Dolly brings more emotion to her voice, which in turn has added to the song, even more than before! I'm just glad that Dolly is still around, I love country music, and she for me , is last of the greatest!
Among the many reasons Dolly is an amazing woman, the fact she can play guitar like that with those nails blows my mind, because playing guitar is the reason I don't wear nails. That's awesome and so is she!
Probably got something to do with the entire performance being a 20 year old studio recording she mines to.
She's not really playing though. Just for show.
She's not playing a note here
I love SO much how both her and Johnny Cash said this was one of their best ever shows. And the funny thing is, you can also tell by the smiles on the band's faces, in both cases. Oh, rhymes!
It must be an amazing experience having people singing your song back at you.
Legend.

FANTASTIC. LOVE IT. From Buenos Aires. Argentina.
dolly is the QUEEN !!!!!!. great voice.
That's the beauty of music. Dolly singing with joy and the mostly young crowd digging every minute of it and singing along with her.
She has a hell of a voice
She wrote this and For I will always love you on the same day !
Hello how are you doing today?
This is amazing!!! I had no idea she was so well known out the States. If any deserve their success it's her. She's such an amazing person and talent.
Absolutely fantastic. Truly a great artist and one of the most recognisable voices in the music industry. British audiences love her because she doesn't take herself too seriously and is so appreciative of her fans. She's been visiting the UK since the early 1970's and has built up a huge fan-base over the years. Sadly, something a lot of the newer singers need to realise that it isn't just enough to have talent, you've got be prepared to work hard for it. An icon for everyone and forever!
Wow, the pop she got from that crowd when she said Jolene was explosive. I hope she now knows what she means to all generations.

Love Dolly. I live next to Pigeon Forge where Dollywood is. When Gatlinburg got burnt she donated a ton of money to help...even gave it's citizens money to survive on until things got better. Outstanding person and artist. She created her own little empire.

I have read that American country music isn’t really known in Great Britain. As an American, it thrills me that the Brits not only know Dolly but are enthusiastically singing along with her.
