Rule number 1: don’t leave drunk individuals alone. Especially, in a different country!!! Or, is that not a rule anymore?? My sister wanted to go to bed at our resort in Cancun after drinking. We walked her to her room to ensure her safety…it’s just what you do!!! I pray this family finds healing and gets some sort of resolve. 🙏🏾

Have any of you actually gone to Mexico? And if so, have you ever visited outside of all inclusive resorts? It’s disheartening to see how the media so heavily warps the view of the reality of life in other countries. Not just Mexico, although Mexico does appear high on the boogeyman list of America. Please try to inform yourselves. If you’re too scared to visit maybe at least check out some American vloggers that travel there? There is so much beauty in the world that it’s sad to think so many people miss out on it.

The couple got into an argument probably because he wouldn't listen and go to sleep when his wife said she was tired and wanted to return to the hotel. He told her he wanted to get another drink probably at the hotel next to theirs that still had the bar open. The Mexican police said it's likely murder
It is suspicious. But what if he was lured by another woman to that other hotel. Why would a husband not want to go to bed with his wife on their anniversary? He is a grown man, not like anyone was going to carry him all the way to a different hotel. Either way, sad story, and hope for the family and everyone that the family find out the whole truth and find closure so they can heal. Terrible situation.

I trust no one wife or not. For me whether or not he was an adult she knew her husband was drinking so she should never have left him alone.
He was probably drugged 😞 One of my son's best friends was drugged, robbed, and paralyzed from the waist down in Cancun a few years ago, at age 19. He remembers the drink tasted weird, his tongue felt heavy, then he woke up 2 days later in a hospital, with broken ribs, bruises all over, and paralyzed with no memory of what happened. 😭 We're incredibly lucky he survived 💜 No suspects were ever found.

Robbery, rape, and death is usually an outcome for drinking at a bar anywhere, if you are by yourself! Criminals know that you have money, when you are there! You become an easy target! 🎯

My husband drinks 24-7 , we went to Florida and I was 5 months pregnant , my husband was drinking until 1 in the morning and being a jerk , I had enough and I went to our room and went to bed. , he is an adult I can’t force him to do anything and she couldn’t either.

For everyone blaming the wife for leaving the husband and going to bed, think of it this way, he was a hero firefighter that faced death everyday in his job. In her wildest imagination she couldn't imagine that something as simple as leaving to go to bed while he stayed up later would result in his death. Especially in a place that looked like paradise. Don't blame her, she is going through enough tragedy right now.She will feel the blame for the rest of her life, I should know, I woke my dad up to send him to work the night he was killed at his job. Such a heartbreak for the family.

You don't let someone go alone to a bar anywhere in the world especially in Mexico. You might think the resort is safe...but it's not. Americans are easily spotted and targeted in Mexico, so it's most likely someone at the resort saw him and took advantage of him after he got drunk. Again, never let anyone out of your sight anywhere you go on the world.
@@butterflyeyes399 You are so right but they target all tourists. We travel with whole family and are 100% Mexicans pretty much we think we blend in but noooo. They can tell we don't leave in Mexico. We don't use anything flashy or brand name clothes, etc. They are just so good at figuring out. So, we being scammed several times even by police.
We never drink at resorts alone, always with company of three or four people. This is a rule to be safe.

This is just sad!!! Omg 😢.... my 20 yr old daughter and her girlfriend went to Cancun on a vacation and me being a helicopter mom had me so worried... I had a tracker on her phone and I had her to check in every 5 hrs... all who travel.. please be safe and be aware of your surroundings 🙏🏽

It happens when ppl are in a drunken stupor. I had a friend who got his head wedged in a tiny balcony space and was stuck for hours and the staff were not present at that hour of the night to check up on him. Ppl do crazy things when they r drunk. And most drunk ppl don't want to go to bed. She probably told him to come with her but he refused so she let him cool down.

But what was he doing in another hotel , I think he was trying to get a prostitute which led to him getting robbed or beat up which led to his death

@@genesisansbro4936 his body was positioned so he wasn't getting any oxygen, it seems like he got stuck in a window and he was positioned to it was putting pressure on his lungs or cutting blood circulation to his heart.

Condolences to this poor family. However, I do not understand cremating him before an independent autopsy can be done. This will only lead to supposition. As I understand it, she took some pics on her iPhone, which is not enough.
And pictures on a cellphone versus further professional investigation doesn't sit right, but that just my lil opinion.
I lived in Cancun for several years. This stuff happened all the time. Jealous wife husband, killed by friends of victim, overdose, boating accidents, crock or shark attacks. Even kinky sex. Saw all kinds of crazy things in Cancun kind of like Vegas but with a real beach instead off artificial ones.

We were in a bar in San Antonio once and at closing we got separated from one of our friends and we saw him being lead to a car by two strangers, who knows what they were planning with him, but we quickly intervened and the guys ran off after we made a big stink.

There has to be more to this story than meets the eye.
Her stepfather stated he was trying to get into the window. I think the poor guy had a few too many. Found the wrong room. Couldn't get in so tried to climb through the small bathroom window. Proceeded to get stuck and suffocated. The bruising was probably from him struggling. I really don't believe there's any mystery here. The stepfather said this would be out of character for his son-in-law. Sometimes you do things out of character when you've been drinking. And I don't believe trying to climb through a window is reaching that far outside the realm of possibility. Sad and very tragic.

I thought I heard in another video that he was found in a hotel in Downtown Cancun …meaning he left or was taken off the premises… really sad and unfortunate 😞 regardless . Never leave your group in another country things are crazy

@@djjuarez5679 it was a hotel maintenance guy who found him the next morning at 7:30 am and the bathroom window he was found in was an employee bathroom not a guest hotel room.

They try to take advantage of my friend and I once at a club in Cancun right in front of Coco Bongo. They convinced us to go to the club and pay a fee that included 2 drinks. Once inside we order coke and water for our 2 drinks. They say that it had to be alcoholic beverages. So, we order beer but they brought it in a cup. It was suspicious that they didn't want to bring the unopened can or bottle to our table. So we decided not to drink them and discretely threw them on the floor. Right away waitress told us we had to continue consuming. Again we order another 2 beers and did the same thing. In between the drinks the waiters and waitresses kept looking at us the whole time & asking us if we needed anything else. They were also men and women hitting on us. We were scared and wanted to get out. They also kept asking us if we wanted a private tour of their night club. One of them even offered us drugs. We just wanted to get out of there ASAP. When we tried to get out they didn't let us. They had some big guys at the door and say we needed to give them $100 dlls each to get out. We told them we didn't have money or even a credit card. So, they say that they would allowed one of us to leave and come back with all the money. We refused. They called more people in to scared us. There were mean men and women surrounding us. My friend didn't speak Spanish so I demanded to call the police. Finally police arrived and we thought we were safe. The police works with them too. It was all a scam from beginning to end. We were so scared and I was already thinking we were going to die there. I had to think fast. I had $150 dlls hidden in my boots and I offered them to the cops. I also told them that we had GPS and we were youtubers and were filming the location. Part of it was true, we were filming and taking pics at the beginning but they came and told us that it was prohibited. I think that's the only thing that saved us. They weren't sure if we had already posted our location to the public. I been to Cancun every year since I was little and now that I'm 50 yrs old. 😱 So, it doesn't matter the age or gender, you just never know what could happen to you. It was the most scary experience of our lives. Now, I walk pass all those clubs and wonder how many people had gone through the same experience or worst. Please, be very careful and don't trust anyone.

This story really shouldn’t be in the public - it’s either going to lead to drugs, Grindr, or the dissolution of the capitalist Disney family fantasy at the embarrassment of the family’s memory. They spike your drinks in many of those places. They did that to my drink at the restaurant next to CocoBongo. Thank God I was with the whole family. My parents were so scared call the doctor from our resort to check on me. It was just one drink.😦 I didn't remember anything the next day. My brother took video of me and it was like looking at a different person.
The pics I’ve seen of the crime screen show his head out the window, body dangling inside the bathroom. They say that bathroom is an employee bathroom and is locked every night at 10:30.

I’m reminded of that college student who was left alone at the pool at a Cancun resort - a number of years ago - by his two friends and later found dead. He was also the victim of foul play.
