- Ronnie was adopted into the Blair family in 2019. While recovering in the hospital from stab wounds and burns inflicted by his biological father, the 12-year-old asked Hillsborough County Sheriff Mike Blair to watch a movie. Five months later, the Blair family grew from seven to eight. Ronnie O’Neal III was convicted of killing his son’s mother and disabled sister, stabbing his son, and setting their house on fire in 2018. He was sentenced to three life terms in prison. Young Ronnie is now thriving!

His wasn't abusive. He was a murderer he killed his girlfriend their daughter and was trying to kill his but he survived. This man was a maniac.

Thank you for praying. I had no idea of the situation. But I definitely believe in the power of prayer. I know that baby girl is safe in the arms of Jesus as I know he has a place for our precious people with special needs. I hope their mother is there too. And I’m so thankful this young man now has a wonderful family and a bright future.

Very true. I’m so glad he has a family around him but hope they don’t underestimate the pain this child must hold, support, therapy and love will help so much. His poor mum must have felt so desperate not knowing what was going to happen to her children as she died. I think as long as they have given a little to the press they seem like a family who will get him out the limelight and fingers crossed they do, he deserves peace and no further intrusion, he’s not a story, he’s a little person.

I remember seeing that lunatic speaking to the young man like he isn’t his biological father who just murdered his biological mother and sister in a sad way. I was ashamed that such evil existed that close near me but I’m glad kindness also is. What the sheriff did is beyond admirable, and he certainly didn’t have to but he did. What a great man. It would of been nice for his mother’s side of the family to step up to take care of him he probably feels like his family never wanted him. If they cared so much they would’ve taken him in and healed with him
From what I understand, maternal grandparents have some disabilities and despite wanting to care for him, couldn't. That doesn't mean they don't love and support him and that they aren't victims in this too. I would hope adoptive family would have Ronnie maintain a relationship with his remaining maternal family. Can't say the same for the paternal ones.
I hope he gets a chance to see them as well both sides. Its NOT his grandparents faught on his father's side. They had nothing to do with this. As for his father, he is where he needs to be. Praying for your healing little prince.
Ronnie is a brave beautiful child who deserved better that day and he got that better sadly his mom and his sister couldn't make it with him rest in peace 🕊️ 💕 .
With his sister’s severe autism & special needs, she couldn’t run away or even beg that monster not to hurt her. That haunts me. It’s just a miracle her brother survived & so wonderful that he has a loving family to help him cope with what happened to him. His future is now very bright.

This family so sweet to adopt this boy. This boy when the bravest kind ever. I don't know how he sat there when his father ask all those questions.
Just the way Ronnie reached out to the detective while in the hospital for some comfort. The way he told the detectives at the crime scene what had happened before he was flown to the hospital. The way he testified against his father in court to get his late mother and sister justice. He’s a very brave soul, and it’s so wonderful he gained a loving family out of this. I wish he reaches all of his dreams and has a good life.

Ah man I’m in tears just hearing about how this child and his mother and sister were treated. I’m so glad he’s finally somewhere safe where he can grow up surrounded by love and kindness. What a terrible experience for him. I hope he is able to heal and that he doesn’t experience hardships in the future because of his past. I understand that kind of struggle and I wouldn’t wish the same for him.

I truly hope they get that child long term counseling so that the violent cycle doesn’t continue when he gets older because as we all know by now, violence is a learned behavior.
